SRINAGAR JAN 14:-The much-anticipated Z-Morh Tunnel was inaugurated at a grand event graced by the Honorable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi. The event witnessed the presence of several eminent dignitaries, including Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari, Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge), and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.

Other prominent figures included Shri Sunil Sharma, Leader of the Opposition; Shri Ghulam Ali Khatana, Member of Rajya Sabha; and a host of high-ranking administrative officials.

Tafazul Wani, Kashmir In-charge of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra Welfare Society, was among the distinguished guests who attended the historic event.

The Z-Morh Tunnel, a strategic infrastructure project, will serve as a year-round connectivity link to the picturesque Sonamarg, significantly boosting the region’s tourism and economy while enhancing travel safety and reducing commute time.

Addressing the gathering, the Honorable Prime Minister highlighted the tunnel’s pivotal role in integrating remote regions with the rest of the country and emphasized the government’s commitment to the development of Jammu and Kashmir.

Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha lauded the completion of the project, expressing confidence in its potential to usher in a new era of growth and prosperity for the people of Kashmir. Shri Nitin Gadkari elaborated on the technical advancements and sustainable practices incorporated into the construction of the tunnel, underscoring its importance in nation-building.

Tafazul Wani, representing the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra Welfare Society, expressed gratitude for being part of this momentous occasion and reiterated the Society’s dedication to facilitating the welfare of pilgrims and locals alike.

The event marked yet another milestone in the Union Government’s commitment to transforming Jammu and Kashmir into a hub of modern infrastructure and economic progress.

SRINAGAR JAN 14:-As a tribute to the selfless service, patriotism and valour of the Veterans of Kupwara District, Veterans Day was celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm at Trehgam under the aegis of the Hajipir Brigade. The event was graced by a large number of Ex-Servicemen (ESM) and Veer Naris, who were honoured in the true spirit of the Indian Army.

The event recognised their immense contribution in nation building as a fundamental block of civil society. Several Veer Naris were felicitated and the event saw healthy interaction of the Ex Servicemen with representatives of notable agencies like Zila Sainik Welfare Office, Defence Pension Disbursement Office and JAK LI Regt Records; who were present for grievance redressal and guidance on policies and schemes which are beneficial for our ESM. The event provided a ‘One Stop Resolution Forum’ to any issues being faced by them and reinstated the astute commitment of the Indian Army towards care , welfare and honour of our esteeemed ESM fraternity.

The young boy discovered a bag filled with a significant amount of money while on his way home. Instead of succumbing to temptation, his strong moral values guided him to return the lost bag to its rightful owner.

The boy’s selfless act has earned him praise from locals and authorities alike, with many calling him a “beacon of hope” in a world where acts of honesty are often overshadowed by negativity. His gesture reflects the rich cultural values and moral upbringing that Jammu and Kashmir is known for.

Such exemplary conduct at a tender age highlights the importance of integrity and serves as a reminder that one’s character is not defined by age but by actions. His story is an inspiration to all, especially the youth, to uphold moral values in every situation.

The entire community of Anantnag has lauded this young hero, whose actions have spread a wave of positivity throughout the region. Authorities are also planning to honor him for his exemplary honesty.
