    CRPF ASI shoots self with his Service Rifle in Reasi

    JAMMU JAN 07:– A CRPF assistant sub-inspector allegedly shot himself with his service rifle in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district on Tuesday, officials said.

    Rajnath Prasad (55), a resident of Bihar, allegedly shot himself on the chest inside a makeshift Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) picket along the Tarakote route leading to Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Katra, they added.

    Prasad’s colleagues rushed to the scene on hearing the gunshot and found him lying dead. Police have launched inquest proceedings, the officials said.

    The exact motive behind Prasad taking his life is yet to be ascertained, they added.–(PTI)

    Bilquees started her journey with a simple act of kindness—donating blood. “I always believed that every drop counts,” she says, reflecting on her early days. What began as a one-time donation soon blossomed into a passion for helping others. As she continued to donate and encourage others to do the same, Bilquees realized that she could make an even bigger impact by taking on a leadership role.

    Her tireless efforts did not go unnoticed. “I never set out to be a leader; I just wanted to make a difference,” Bilquees shares. Her commitment to raising awareness about the importance of blood donation and her ability to mobilize women in her community led to her nomination as the President of the Women’s Wing of the Red Blood Group.

    In her new role, Bilquees aims to inspire and empower women to join the cause. “Together, we can save lives,” she emphasizes. Under her leadership, the Women’s Wing is set to launch several initiatives aimed at increasing blood donation rates and educating communities about its significance.

    Bilquees’s journey serves as a reminder that anyone can be a catalyst for change, no matter how small the initial step may seem. “It’s about creating a ripple effect,” she explains. “When we work together, we can achieve incredible things.”

    JAMMU JAN 07:-Tanveer Iqbal Qureshi call upon Suresh Kumar Gupta Principal Secretary School Education department, Shahid Iqbal Choudhary Commissioner Secretary planning & Mointoring Department and H Rajesh Prashad (IAS) Principal Secretary Power Development Department at Secretariat Jammu J&K, and submitted memorandum for redressal of genuine demands of block Chattral, Mr. Qureshi focused on upliftment of educational institutions particularly the educational institutions in Panchayat Narol of Block Chattral are worthy of sympathy as they don’t have any basic facilities on one hand they are without roofs or on the other hand without any boundary walls anyone can enter the premises of such schools and create problems for schools staff and as well as students, in addition to this Mr. Qureshi submitted a memorandum to Principal Secretary Power Development Department that Power station may be converted to 15.3 KV from 3.3 KV as the population of block Chattral is more then 35 thousand and the existing transformer at power station Chattral is insufficient which usually leads to power cut in the area, replacement of transformer in said power station is more necessary.

    Tanveer Qureshi got assurance from Principal Secretary School Education Suresh Kumar Gupta, Secretary Planning department Shahid Iqbal Choudhary & Principal Secretary Power Development Department that they shell personally monitor the Developmental projects of the area and shell fullfill the demands of public of the area, According to Mr. Qureshi ‘’he had presented a memorandum for construction of a library at Nr HSS Chattral and the same has been approved by concerned authorities in coming days we shell surely witness its construction and completion, Finally Mr. Qureshi said that he is hopeful that the genuine demands of public of Block Chattral may be fulfilled and the public of this area will definitely be answered rightly.

The meeting witnessed the participation of senior party leaders, workers, and prominent citizens who gathered to honored  the late leader’s memory.

    Speakers at the event highlighted Mufti Mohammad Sayeed’s political acumen, his commitment to fostering peace, and his pivotal contributions to the development of Jammu and Kashmir. The gathering reflected on his enduring legacy, emphasizing his vision for harmony and progress in the region.

    Choudhary Qamar Hussain, in his address, praised Mufti Sayeed’s leadership, stating, “He provided a new direction and fresh thinking for the development of Jammu and Kashmir. His visionary policies continue to inspire us today.”

    Echoing similar sentiments, Master Tasaduq Hussain described Mufti Sayeed’s life as a testament to simplicity and dedication. “We all miss his presence deeply,” he said.

    RAJOURI JAN 07:- In a significant step towards promoting road safety and combating drug abuse, ARTO Rajouri Pawan Kumar Sharma administered an oath to young license aspirants on Tuesday. The oath, taken at the vehicle trial ground, emphasized staying away from drugs and adhering to traffic rules.

    Addressing the gathering, ARTO Sharma highlighted the importance of responsible behavior among the youth, who he termed as the nation’s future. He underscored the detrimental impact of drug addiction, stating, “Youth not only ruin their lives by indulging in drugs but also create challenges for their families.” He urged attendees to counsel peers involved in substance abuse to reform their ways.

    The ARTO linked drug abuse to reckless driving, which often leads to road accidents. He reinforced the necessity of abiding by traffic rules, emphasizing that obtaining a driving license is a privilege that comes with the responsibility of safe driving. “Driving without following traffic regulations can result in accidents and even license cancellation,” Sharma cautioned.

    This initiative is part of a series of measures being implemented by ARTO Sharma to reduce road accidents and make Rajouri an accident-free district. The event also included a detailed briefing on traffic rules and the consequences of violations.

    Inspector Rahul Singh from the Traffic Department, along with other officials, was present during the session, further bolstering the campaign’s impact. The ARTO’s efforts reflect a commitment to fostering a safer, more disciplined driving culture in the region.

    RAJOURI, JAN 07: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa today chaired a meeting in the Conference Hall of the DC Office to review the progress achieved under the CAPEX budget, including Untied, DDC, BDC, and PRI works, besides Centrally Sponsored Schemes.

    The ADDC conducted a blockwise review of the physical and financial progress of ongoing projects and directed the departments to prioritize the initiation of allotted works within 05 day and ensure the timely completion of those already underway. Pending works were instructed to be tendered at the earliest to avoid unnecessary delays.

    The meeting witnessed the participation of key officers, including Assistant Commissioner Panchayats (ACP) Sheraz Chouhan, Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Maqsood Ahmed, District Statistics and Evaluation Officer (DSEO) Sandeep Sharma, District Panchayat Officer (DPO) Ch. Mohd Nawaz as well as BDOs and AEEs from various blocks.

    RAJOURI JAN 07:-Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, today flagged off an awareness rally on Mission YUVA, a revolutionary initiative aimed at promoting self-employment and entrepreneurship among the youth. The rally commenced from Dak Bungalow, Rajouri, and concluded at Mandi Bridge.

    The rally witnessed active participation from various departments, including Rural Development Department (RDD), Labour & Employment, ITI, Industries, and students from across the district.

    *Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the transformative potential of Mission YUVA, emphasizing that the scheme has been designed to overcome challenges faced by young entrepreneurs. “The baseline survey for Mission YUVA can now be updated through the Mission YUVA app, making the entire process digital. Young entrepreneurs no longer need to visit multiple departments for plan processing, as everything is streamlined online,” he stated.*

    *The Deputy Commissioner described the initiative as a game-changer for self-employment generation, addressing critical hurdles such as the preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) and market linkages. He directed all departments to conduct awareness programs in every corner of the district to ensure that unemployed youth can fully benefit from the scheme.*

    ADDC Rajouri, Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa, underscored the need for the younger generation to embrace entrepreneurship, encouraging them to become job providers rather than job seekers.

    The event marked a significant step towards empowering the youth of Rajouri and fostering an ecosystem of self-reliance and innovation in the district.

    The rally was attended by ACP Sheraz Ahmed, DSEO Sandeep Sharma, DPO Mohd Nawaz, and other district, sectoral officers and students from different institutions who pledged their commitment for spreading awareness about Mission YUVA.
