*Says Govt ready to tackle weather vagaries, trashes rumours about changing Kashmir’s name*

SRINAGAR JAN 03 (KNO): A day after Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated that the Centre has ended terrorism and the terror ecosystem in Kashmir, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday said that the normalcy has not been fully restored in Jammu and Kashmir.

Talking to the reporters here, Omar, according to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said, “I do not want to say anything on that

(Union Home Minister’s statement). (But), today also, reports come from some places when attacks take place. Normalcy has not been fully restored in Jammu and Kashmir even today. It is a process and we will have to see what happens in the coming days.”

*GOVT READY TO TACKLE WEATHER VAGARIES*

Meanwhile, in wake of the prediction that Jammu and Kashmir may receive yet another spell of major snowfall from Saturday, the Chief Minister reviewed the preparations and assured that the government was ready to tackle the weather vagaries.

“The last spell of snow provided us with an experience. Wherever the work was good it will be repeated. Wherever there were shortcomings that will be taken care of this time. We have held several meetings to ensure that people don’t face any inconvenience,” Omar said.

Replying to a query about the prevailing electricity scenario, the Chief Minister said, “This year’s situation is better than the previous years, but power cuts take place, we are trying to provide the electricity as per schedule. Whenever a system develops any snag, every attempt is made to rectify the fault at the earliest.”

*NO PROPOSAL TO CHANGE KASHMIR NAME*

Asked about the reports that the name of Kashmir may be changed to Kashyap, Omar said, “There is no such proposal and no one can change J&K’s name without the government’s consent. Some media outlet ran it but then corrected it.”

Pertinently, Union Home Minister, Amit Shah on Thursday described Kashmir as the land of Kashyap Rishi saying that it’s an inseparable part of India’s soul.

Shah, while addressing a gathering in New Delhi after launching a book “Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh: Through the Ages” had said, “There is every possibility that Kashmir may have been named after Kashyap Rishi.”—(KNO)

While interacting with the author, Dr. Faquir Mohammad briefly described that “In the history of Urdu literature, Delhi and Lucknow have their own unique identity. The importance of Delhi depends on Sufism, purity, passion, and internality, while Lucknow has the importance of academic, literary, and cultural externality and similes and metaphors. In the development of Urdu language and Literature, Uttar Pradesh holds the lead along with various states of the subcontinent. Various cities here, including Lucknow, Faizabad, Rampur, Aligarh, Allahabad, Banaras, etc. are the prominent cities where this language was born and flourished. Literature is divided into two parts, one part of which is poetry and the other of prose. As far as prose literature is concerned, it is given a place in fiction and non-fiction literature to make it more interesting and meaningful. In fiction literature, there is always an emphasis on the fact that you perform your duty to something with the help of imaginative power. Similarly, in non-fiction, an artist cultivates literature by giving preference to facts and events based on arguments. The genres included in this category include autobiography, biography, travelogue, letter writing, essay writing, articles, essays, etc. In the development of Urdu language literature, the state of Uttar Pradesh is second to none in the entire subcontinent”.

I especially give this message to my area that Allah Almighty has created every human being the same and it depends on the human being to take his life on which path. The importance of education in our nation is negligible. Life is spent only in quarrels and useless rituals. I believe that whenever you want to harm someone, first pay attention to the fact that you should forgive him once and see if both of you can improve and hope for better relations in society can be established again. But the haste and ignorance of people have saddened the society. There are many obstacles in our society, but who will remove them! So, if you are alive, prove it. Thanks to just one education, all your obstacles have been removed. You move forward, you will find shade at any cost”.
