RAJOURI DEC 25:-Aaftab Tantray, District President of the Jammu Kashmir Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers Forum, has urged the Union Territory (UT) government to release the pending 3% Dearness Allowance (DA) instalment for its employees. The DA hike, effective from July 2024, has already been implemented for central government employees since November 13, 2024.

RAJOURI DEC 25:-Creativity innovation took center stage as Manvi Sharma, a bright student from National Public Hr. Sec. School, Rajouri, was felicitated by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha during the Toycathon 2024 Grand Finale. Guided by mentors Kanav Badyal and ZNO Shashi Pal, Manvi’s innovative product earned recognition at this esteemed platform, bringing pride to her school and community.

Toycathon, an initiative launched in 2021, serves as a hub for young innovators, educators, and budding entrepreneurs to present novel toy designs that merge tradition with modern technology. Spearheaded by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell with support from six other ministries, including Women and Child Development, Textiles, and MSME, the event is a testament to India’s commitment to nurturing creative minds.

This year’s competition witnessed overwhelming participation, with 1,12,000 entries from across the country. Among them, only 90 designs were selected for the grand finale held on December 19, 2024, at the Abhinav Theatre in Jammu. The exhibition highlighted innovative designs inspired by India’s rich cultural heritage, further emphasizing the unique blend of tradition and technology.

In Rajouri district, over 4,000 students participated in the competition, which included rigorous selection rounds at the school and district levels. Out of these, 150 students progressed to the next stage, showcasing the region’s exceptional talent pool.
