RAJOURI DEC 20:-The mysterious deaths of eight individuals, including seven children, in Badhal village remain unsolved, leaving the community in fear and frustration. Despite extensive investigations by expert teams from the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), and Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGI), no definitive cause has been identified.

The tragedy began on December 8 when Muhammad Fazal’s entire family fell ill. Fazal and his four children succumbed to the illness, while his wife remains under treatment at the Jammu Medical College, reportedly out of danger. Four days later, the illness struck another household, claiming the lives of three children from Muhammad Rafiq’s family in quick succession.

Over 4,000 villagers were screened, and extensive samples of food, water, and medicines were collected. However, preliminary tests have yielded no conclusive findings.
