    RAJOURI NOV 28: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma on Thursday chaired a high-level meeting here in Dak Bungalow, to review and finalize arrangements for the smooth conduct of the OMR-based written examination for the recruitment of Constables being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB). The meeting was convened to ensure meticulous planning and seamless execution of the examination process.

    ADC Rajouri, Rajiv Khajuria, briefed the chair about the comprehensive preparations made by the district administration.

    Abhishek Sharma laid emphasis on the critical aspects to ensure transparency and efficiency. He said that signboards with directions and instructions will be installed near examination centers for the convenience of candidates.
    Complete videography of the examination process will be conducted to maintain transparency and accountability.

    Dedicated control rooms and strong rooms will be established at each examination center to monitor and secure the examination process.

    SSP Gaurav Sikarwar highlighted the importance of close coordination among center superintendents, duty magistrates, and police personnel to maintain law and order and ensure a hassle-free examination.

    The meeting was attended by ADC Rajouri, Rajiv Khajuria; ADC Nowshera, Babu Ram Tandon; ADC Sunderbani; Additional SP, Bikram Kumar; CEO Rajouri, Bishamber Dass; DSEO, Sandeep Sharma; DTO; ARTO; Centre Superintendents; Observers; and duty magistrates.

    **A total of 114 patients screened by GMC Rajouri team, provided free medicines.

    RAJOURI NOV 27:-On the direction of Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal a free eye screening camp was successfully organised at Raja Sukhdev Singh District Hospital (RSSDH)Poonch in collaboration with Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri.
    The camp was inaugurated by Vikas Kundal in there presence of Chief Medical Officer Poonch, Dr Parvaiz Ahmed Khan, and Medical Superintendent RSSDH, Dr Nusrat Bhatti.
    Head of Department at Government Medical College Rajouri, Dr Shazia Qayum Ophthalmologist along with a team of ophthalmologists, examined patients. Free medicines were distributed to all attendees.
    This initiative is part of the National Program for Control of Blindness and Visual Impairment (NPCB & VI).
    “During the camp, a total of 114 patients were screened, with 98 diagnosed with Senile Mature Cataract and 16 identified with other eye diseases,” said CMO, Dr Parvaiz Ahmed.
    This initiative underscores the commitment of local health authorities to improve eye care services and prevent visual impairment in the community.

    *Inquiry initiated for mid-day meal irregularities, lab’s worst condition 

    RAJOURI NOV 27:-Chief Education Rajouri has stopped the salaries of three teachers till further order, one of high school & two of primary school, for poor performance, irregularities in serving the mid-day meal (in primary school).
    The Chief Education Officer (CEO) on Saturday paid a surprise visit to the Moughla Education Zone to check the regularities, punctuality, work culture, and serving of mid-day meal.
    During a visit to high school at Mehtka, CEO observed that the science teacher namely Inderjeet Sharma has conducted negligible practical examinations of class 9th and 10th despite clear directions from his office.
    The CEO observed that the teacher had not paid heed to his directions as his performance was below mark.
    The CEO visited the laboratory, he found it in the worst condition, reflecting that the laboratory had not opened for a long time.
    At primary school in Sangrur (Treru) village, the CEO found unsatisfactory performance of teachers Bishan Dass Grade III and Zafar Iqbal Grade II.
    He also found that the mid-day meal scheme was not properly implemented and also noticed irregularities in serving mid-day meal.
    In an order issued on Tuesday, the CEO taking serious notice of poor performance of the teachers, has stopped the salaries of all the three teachers till further order.
    “Cluster head, Principal GHSS Moughla is hereby directed to conduct in-depth inquiry into the matter and submit the report with specific comments to this office within a seeks’ time positively” read CEO order.
