    RAJOURI, NOV 18:- Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma today visited Primary Health Centre (PHC) Teryath to gather first hand appraisal of the incident involving a woman delivering a baby on road.

    During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with the affected woman and her family to understand the circumstances leading to the incident. He assured the family of strict action and emphasized that such incidents are unacceptable in a system committed to providing accessible healthcare to all.

    While addressing the health officials present, the Deputy Commissioner directed them to work with utmost sincerity and diligence to prevent such incidents in future. “Healthcare is a fundamental right and it is our collective responsibility to ensure timely and effective medical services for every citizen,” he stated.

    The Deputy Commissioner instructed the ADC Kalakote to conduct a detailed inquiry into the matter and submit a report at the earliest. He also emphasized the need for regular monitoring of health centers and provision of adequate resources to cater to the needs of the public.

    RAJOURI NOV 18:-A distribution camp organized by the Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) was held today at Dakbanglow  Rajouri, providing wheelchairs and artificial limbs to differently-abled individuals.

    The event, aimed at enhancing mobility and promoting independence, saw a large turnout of beneficiaries, including individuals from remote areas of Rajouri. Among the attendees was the Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Rajouri, Iftikhar Ahmed, who expressed his commitment to the welfare of persons with disabilities.

    In his address, MLA Iftikhar Ahmed highlighted the significance of such initiatives in improving the quality of life for differently-abled individuals. “These programs not only offer physical assistance but also restore dignity and independence to individuals,” he said. He also commended ALIMCO for its continuous efforts to make mobility aids accessible to the local community.

    RAJOURI NOV 18:-In a significant demonstration of goodwill and commitment to the socio-economic development of Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army’s Tithwal Warriors, part of the Ace of Spades Division of the White Knight Corps, extended a helping hand to the residents of Kalsian village near Nowshera on 18 November 2024. The initiative was part of the ongoing Operation Sadbhavana, aimed at strengthening the relationship between the Army and the local population in areas close to the Line of Control (LOC).

    During a well-attended ceremony, which included Indian Army officials, local administration representatives, schoolchildren, and villagers, a range of essential items were distributed to the Government Higher Secondary School in Kalsian and the surrounding community. Among the key contributions were computers, infrastructure support, water storage tanks, and water coolers, addressing some of the pressing needs of the village and its educational institutions.

    This humanitarian outreach, which primarily focuses on enhancing the quality of life in remote regions, underscores the Indian Army’s continued commitment to ensuring the welfare of the people in Jammu and Kashmir. By providing these crucial resources, the Army aims to foster mutual trust and respect between the military and the local communities while also facilitating the development of the region.

    The event was attended by 06 Veer Naris & 35 Ex Servicemen of Kupwara and Baramulla.The ex-servicemen were briefed on contemporary issues like – OROP , Sparsh portal , Tax regimes , benefits of DSP accounts, ECHS schemes & insurance provided by banks’ pension accounts.

    The other highlights of the meet was the dedication of the newly renovated Hajipir CSD’s new waiting lounge, equipped with contemporary journals and informative desk to keep the vetrans digitally informed on relevant issues concerning them.

    The event is yet another endeavour of the Indian Army’s Chinar Warriors focussed towards welfare of our beneficiary-soldiers of Kupwara.The veterans used the forum to share their concerns related to ECHS cards , pension benefits of OROP and other issues, which were promptly addressed by the brigade staff .The event also saw healthy interaction of Commander, Hajipir brigade and his team with the veterans followed by felicitations of the Veer Naris.

    This event was aimed at continuing with the highest standards and traditions of the INDIAN ARMY with unwavering dedication towards the welfare of its Veer Naris and Veterans who have lived and sacrificed themselves in service to our great nation.

    REASI BADDER NOV 18:-In a significant gesture, Farooq Inqlabi, senior leader of the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), along with District Vice President Yaseen Sheikh today visited the residence of Mubina Akhter Nag in Badder village to congratulate her on her outstanding achievement of clearing the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Services (JKAS) examination. Mubina, a young and determined candidate, has emerged as a role model from this far-flung area of Mahore Sub-Division in Reasi District.

    During his visit, Inqlabi expressed his admiration for Mubina’s hard work and perseverance, especially given the challenges of hailing from sucha remote and underdeveloped area. He praised her for breaking barriers and achieving such a remarkable milestone despite the odds. Inqlabi remarked that Mubina’s success highlights the potential that exists in Jammu and Kashmir, even in its most distant regions, and underscores the importance of education in transforming lives.

    Inqlabi said, “Mubina’s achievement is not just her own, but a victory for the entire community, particularly for young girls who are often deprived of opportunities due to geographical and social constraints.     Inqlabi also highlighted the need for more focused efforts to improve educational infrastructure in remote areas like Badder.     **NHM doctor found on unauthorised absence at PHC Harni for last 6 months.

    RAJOURI NOV 17:-To evaluate the healthcare facilities and staff attendance, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Poonch, Dr Parvaiz Ahmed Khan conducted unscheduled surprise inspections of Government Primary Health Centers (PHCs) at Mankote and Harni in Mendhar health Block.
    The inspections were conducted on the directions of Director Health Services Jammu, Dr Rakesh Mangotra, and Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal.
    At Harni PHC, CMO, Dr Parvaiz Khan noticed that a ISM doctor posted under NHM namely Dr Om Parkash is absent from his duty since May 10, a supervisor pharmacist namely Fardos Ali was found on unauthorised absence for the last 3 days while a lab technician Tariq Mehmood has been attached at Community Health Center (CHC) at Mendhar for the last 6 months. without any official order.
    During surprise inspection at PHC Mankote, CMO found 2 junior staff nurses on unauthorised absence from duty (posted under NHM) while one junior staff nurse was verbally attached at CHC Mendahr.
    CMO, Dr Parvaiz Ahmed Khan while assessing the healthcare facilities and staff attendance, found serious lapses on part of monitoring by block authorities (BMO) which, according to CMO hampering 24X7 patient care services in this health
    Center.
    CMO also noticed that BMO Mendhar neither bothered to issue notice to the absentee doctor nor he intimated CMO office.
    He also took seriously the unauthorised absence of a Lab technician.
    CMO has attached all the absentee employees and those working in other health institutions instead of their original place of postings in his office (CMO office) at Poonch.
    Besides explanations sought from employees attached with CMO office, Dr Parvaiz Ahmed Khan has also sought explanation from BMO office about undue favour to employees who are not attending their duties regularly and as per roaster.
    BMO has also asked to explain his position for not issuing notice to absentee doctor (for the last 6 months) with a copy to higher authorities.
    This was the first surprise visit of CMO Poonch. Dr Parvaiz Ahmed Khan to Block Mendhar after assuming charge as CMO Poonch.
    “Such drives shall continue to ensure Punctuality of staff, including doctors and paramedics in peripheral health institutions for timely and better healthcare facilities to the people of remote areas.
    CMO, Dr Parvaiz Khan has also directed BMO Mendhar to stop salaries of these employees for the month of November till further order.
    CMO also directs BMO to provide the salary status of NHM doctor who is on unauthorised absence from duty for the last 6 months.

    RAJOURI/DELHI NOV 17:-With the successful flight-trial of a long-range hypersonic missile by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), capable of carrying various payloads over distances exceeding 1500 km, India has joined the elite group of nations (US, Russia, & China) possessing advanced military capabilities.
    DRDO conducted the successful flight-trial of India’s first long-range hypersonic missile from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Island off the coast of Odisha in the late evening hours on Sunday (October 16).
    In a post on X, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in a post on social media platform X described the flight-trial as a historic achievement which has put India in the group of select nations having capabilities of such critical and advanced military technologies.
    He congratulated DRDO, Armed Forces and the Industry for the successful flight trial.
    This hypersonic missile is designed to carry various payloads for ranges greater than 1,500 kms for the Armed Forces.
    The missile was tracked by various range systems, deployed in multiple domains.
    The Ministry of Defence said the flight data obtained from down range ship stations confirmed the successful terminal manoeuvres and impact with high degree of accuracy.
    “This missile has been indigenously developed by the laboratories of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Missile complex, Hyderabad along with various other DRDO laboratories and Industry Partners,” said MoD.
    The flight-trial was carried out in the presence of senior scientists of DRDO and officers of the Armed Forces.
    India has achieved a major milestone by successfully conducting a flight-trial of a long-range hypersonic missile from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Island, off-the-coast of Odisha.
    This is a historic moment, and this significant achievement has put our country in the group of select nations.
    Secretary, Department of Defence R&D and Chairman DRDO, Dr Samir V Kamat congratulated the team of DRDO which has actively contributed to this successful mission.
