    SRINAGAR NOV 05:-In a directive issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) of Jammu and Kashmir, all Administrative Secretaries have been requested to be present at the ongoing session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly in Srinagar.

    The memorandum, signed by Additional Secretary Rohit Sharma, as per news agency KINS states the importance of engaging in discussions, specifically the “Motion of Thanks” on the Lieutenant Governor’s address.

    Furthermore, the directive mandates that each department assign an officer, no less than the rank of Additional Secretary, to attend the sessions on a full-time basis to ensure comprehensive departmental representation and to facilitate smooth proceedings.–(KINS)

    POONCH,NOV 05:-Deputy Commissioner Poonch Vikas Kundal on Tuesday convened a meeting here in the DC office conference hall to assess preparations for seamless conduct of the OMR based Examination for the selection of Constables (Home Department).

    Senior Superintendent of Police, Additional Deputy Commissioner, and heads of educational institutions and SDMs, attended the meeting.

    The meeting was informed that a total of 28,491 candidates are expected to participate in the examination across 97 designated centers across the district. The examination dates are scheduled for December 1, December 8, and December 22, 2024.

    The Deputy Commissioner emphasised the importance of meticulous arrangements covering essential services such as electricity, water supply, seating, and security measures and installation of CCTVs at the designated centres.

    Earlier, the ADC briefed the heads of government and private institutions housing examination centres about their roles and all other aspects of OMR based written examination.

    The Deputy Commissioner instructed the heads of institutions, Executive Engineers, SDMs, and relevant officers to finalize arrangements promptly, ensuring a smooth and transparent examination process. He also mandated that all examination centers be equipped with CCTV cameras and videographers to uphold transparency and integrity during the examination.

    SRINAGAR NOV 05:-Division of Agriculture Extension & Communication Faculty of Agriculture Wadura, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Kashmir organized one day awareness programme on “Strengthening entrepreneurship  & management of  startup in mushroom cultivation , processing, preservation and value addition in collaboration with Govt. Degree College Patten and division of plant pathology SKUAST-K at mushroom centre (FoA) Wadura sponsored by Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME)
    The objective of this awareness programme was to enable and mobilize students/ participants to incubate ideas and motivate them about commercial mushroom cultivation. The programme was attended by,Dr.Tabasum Nazir Quadri (Associate Professor& Course coordinator),GDC Pattan, Dr. Vikas Gupta (Associate professor) and the whole event was chiefly coordinated by Dr Qadri Javid Ahmad peer.(Assistant Professor). He formally welcomed the guests & participants and briefed about the important role of  entrepreneurship opportunities in mushroom production under temperate conditions. Dr.Vikas Gupta enlightened the students about the cultivation, incubation and availability of business potential of mushrooms in agriculture based startups. He further added that startups play a key role in promoting innovation in a society and stressed the need for creating more synergies in the educational ecosystem for skilling of the youth. Further Dr .Naseema (Research Associate) did practical demonstration of the said topic. Entrepreneurship in the field of agriculture can generate wide range of economic benefit and business opportunities such as increased food production and productivity, creation of new startups, innovative products and services, increased export etc. The students of masters and Ph.D scholars also attended the programme. At last, the vote of thanks was presented by Wycliffe Ongachi (Ph.D scholar) and the programme came to its conclusion.

    SRINAGAR NOV 05:-Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather on Tuesday asked all the MLAs to keep their mobile phones switched off during House proceedings to uphold the sanctity of the legislature.

    The speaker’s direction came after some MLAs were seen filming the House proceedings with their mobile phones on the second day of the session, the first of the newly-elected Jammu and Kashmir Assembly.

    “Some members were seen doing videography. It is requested that you switch off your mobile phones. We have to uphold the dignity and sanctity of the House,” Rather said after the obituary references in the House.

    The National Conference leader also warned that he would ensure that the rules of the Assembly are followed by the members.

    “I request you to cooperate. If any member does not cooperate, I will be forced to take action,” he said.–(PTI)

    JAMMU NOV 05:-A meeting of All J&k Transport Welfare Association under the Chairmanship of S.Ajit Singh was held at Head office of AJKTWA  Bhalla Enclave, Channi Himmat, Jammu.

    In the meeting many issues related to transporters and regarding Pending elections of various unions were discussed and various Resolutions were passed in the meeting.

    The resolutions were passed as “all the office bearers and members of AJKTWA know that the working Presidents of the 5 Bus Groups were discharged from the membership of AJKTWA by the Chairman S. Ajit Singh and the working committee of AJKTWA by the Resolution dated 17/10/2024 as they had illegally occupied the posts of presidents of their respective bus groups from last 7-8 years without due process of elections and are avoiding elections which is necessary as decided in previous meetings.

    When the issue of Non Conduct of elections of these 5 Bus Groups was brought into the notice of the Chairman S. Ajit Singh and working committee of AJKTWA by the opposition group of bus groups and they agitated the issue by informing the AJKTWA that they will disrupt the operations of buses on their routes, a meeting was called by AJKTWA members ,Caretaker President and opposition groups of the 5 No. Bus Groups.

    In the meeting a thread bare discussion was held regarding pending elections of Buses, Taxi, Tanker, Trucks, Matador 407, Autos, Goods Carrier, E-Rickshaw and other Transport Unions which are pending and need to be conducted on urgent basis and shall be conducted as soon as the conclusion of voting of assembly election of J&K.

    The opposition members had raised an issue in that meeting that what action will be taken if these caretaker presidents again disrupt or create problem in the conduct of elections, then It was decided unanimously by the AJKTWA members that if the opposition group will create any problems in conduct of elections then they will be debarred from getting membership of AJKTWA and if the Caretaker Presidents disrupt or refuse for conducting the elections smoothly or don’t cooperate for conduct of election then they will be discharged from membership of AJKTWA.”

    While interacting with media they also informed that, “As per this Resolution of AJKTWA taken on17/10/2024 Self Proclaimed Presidents of Banihal Group Gurdeep Singh, Kathua Group S. Kuldeep Singh, R.S. Pura Group, Labh Singh Chib, Chamb Group Bharat Bhushan Sharma, 2×2 Jammu Poonch Group, S Mohinder Singh were dischaged from membership of AJKTWA by Chairman Ajit Singh and committee members of AJKTWA .Also Vijay Singh Chib President Matador Union Jammu was also discharged from membership of AJKTWA due to his indiscipline and anti transport welfare activities by indulging with these discharged members of AJKTWA and creating controversies in unity of AJKTWA due to his vested interests.
    During the meeting of AJKTWA held in Srinagar on 29/10/2024 it was already apprised to the members of AJKTWA that the working committee had met LG J&K UT Manoj Sinha and informed him about the pending elections of various Transport associations and unions, On this LG J&K UT has assured AJKTWA that these pending election will be held very soon and necessary actions for conducting these elections will be started.

    The members of AJKTWA again requested the Hon’ble LG and newly elected govt. and administration to immediately initiate the process of pending elections of these unions and associations of transporters and help in the formation of democratically elected unions and its members to restore democracy in transport unions and break this hegemony of self proclaimed Presidents who have illegally occupied these positions from last 7-8 years. Chairman S. Ajit Singh was also given the right to decide the role and duties of all the members and office bearers of AJKTWA.

    In the meeting Chairman AJKTWA and all committee members have decided to fill the Vacant posts created after discharging these members and expanding the committee for smooth functioning of AJKTWA. The Committee will work with Chairman AJKTWA S.     SRINAGAR NOV 05:– Ashok Bhat, District President and Senior Leader of BJP, visited SMHS Hospital today along with his team to enquire about the well-being of those critically injured in the recent grenade blast at Srinagar’s Sunday Market. The incident, which occurred yesterday, left several people seriously wounded, with some currently receiving intensive care.

    During his visit, Bhat interacted with the injured patients, as well as their relatives and attendants, extending his full support and assistance. He assured them of BJP’s commitment to stand by the victims in their time of need.

    Bhat also held discussions with the hospital’s medical superintendent, requesting diligent and prompt treatment for the injured. He emphasized the importance of ensuring proper care and dedicated attention to aid in their recovery.

    While speaking to the media, Bhat appealed to the Lieutenant Governor, Chief Minister Umar Abdullah, and the administration to provide appropriate compensation to the injured individuals and their families. He urged swift action in delivering necessary aid to those affected by this tragic incident.
