    RAJOURI, OCT 06: The General Observer, Tikam Chand Bohra in the company of DIG Rajouri-Poonch Range Tejinder Singh, District Election Officer (DEO) Rajouri Abhishek Sharma and SSP Rajouri Randeep Kumar, conducted a thorough inspection of the Counting Centre established at Boys Higher Secondary School (BHSS) Rajouri. The purpose of the visit was to evaluate the preparedness of the facility to ensure a seamless and transparent counting process for all five Assembly constituencies in the district.

    During the inspection, the General Observer and the officials meticulously reviewed the security arrangements at the Counting Centre, with a focus on entry and exit points. It was emphasized that these must strictly adhere to the guidelines set by the Election Commission of India (ECI).

    The team also inspected the layout of the counting halls, ensuring that the security and logistical arrangements are in place to facilitate an error-free counting process.

    DEO provided a detailed briefing on the preparations. He highlighted the establishment of dedicated counting halls for each constituency and the robust arrangements made to ensure transparency and efficiency, such as 24×7 CCTV surveillance, an uninterrupted power supply, and sufficient deployment of personnel to oversee the counting process.

    DIG Rajouri-Poonch Range Tejinder Singh and SSP Rajouri Randeep Kumar assured that stringent security measures would be enforced throughout the counting process. A comprehensive security plan has been devised to ensure the safety of the premises, with additional forces to be deployed for the smooth conduct of the event.

    The officials also inspected the Media Centre set up within the premises, which will provide real-time updates on the counting process. The Media Centre has been equipped with high-speed internet, live vote tallying screens, and dedicated areas for media persons to report on developments.

    The General Observer expressed satisfaction with the arrangements and called for close coordination among all officials to ensure a smooth, transparent counting process in strict adherence to ECI guidelines.

    RAJOURI OCT 06:–In a significant achievement , a HIGH RISK surgery  performed in Govt. Medical College Rajouri , on an elderly female from district Poonch with heart failure , diseased heart valve and Heart block .

    In addition to the multiple heart complications, the patient was also suffering from the stone disease of the gallbladder .

    The elderly lady patient was successfully operated upon by a team of specialists comprising of Dr.SAajid IqbalSHhawl  , (Assistant Professor Surgery) , Dr Sohail Banday ( Head and Associate professor Anesthesia) under the close monitoring of Dr Zakir Hussain ,Head and Associate professor deptt of general and Minimal Access Surgery GMC Rajauri.

    Dr Bhatia Dean and principal GMC Rajauri closely monitored the high risk case besides providing moral and infrastructural support to the team of doctors performing the surgery.

    Mr Suresh , Head PMJAY SEHAT scheme GMC Rajauri ensured the cashless hospital stay and treatment to the patient .

    The patient has fully recovered and is in good health.

    JAMMU, OCT 06:-Judge of the Supreme Court Justice N Kotiswar Singh today said that his time as Chief Justice of High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh had been one of his most rewarding experiences.

    He was speaking at a function organized by J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu to honor him on his elevation to Judge of the Supreme Court of India and to Justice Tashi Rabstan on assuming office as the Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir & Ladakh.

    Justice Kotiswar Singh shared fond memories of his experience working with the Jammu Bar. He praised the Bar for its dedication and professionalism, stating that his time as Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir had been one of his most rewarding experiences. He complimented the office-bearers of J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu for ensuring that while lawyers’ grievances are redressed, the justice dispensation is not disturbed.

    Chief Justice Tashi Rabstan, in his address, assured the Bar that all genuine demands will be taken into consideration and addressed with due care. He reaffirmed his commitment to work closely with the Bar for the betterment of the judiciary.

    Earlier, the event began with a warm welcome by Parvesh Singh Salaria, General Secretary of the Bar, who praised Justice Kotiswar Singh for his humility and unwavering support to the Bar during his tenure as Chief Justice and commended Chief Justice Tashi Rabstan for his remarkable journey and leadership.

    Senior Advocate Vikram Sharma, President of the Bar acknowledged Justice N Kotiswar Singh for his contributions to the judiciary and his approachable nature and lauded Chief Justice Tashi Rabstan for his commitment to justice and fairness. He also presented a charter of demands on behalf of the Bar Association addressing key concerns important to the legal community.

    The event was organized smoothly with the efforts of Chetan Misri, Joint Secretary and Utkarsh Pathania, Treasurer. The gathering saw the presence of other Justices of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir along with Judges of the District Judiciary, senior advocates and members of the Bar.

    A vote of thanks was delivered by Amit Gupta, Vice President of the Bar.

    As a token of respect, mementoes were presented to Justice N Kotiswar Singh and Chief Justice Tashi Rabstan by the Bar team.
