    SRINAGAR/HANDWARA AUG 10:— Chief Engineer R&B North Kashmir Susheel Kumar today conducted an extensive tour of district Kupwara during the visit he inspected various developmental projects including roads, Transit Accodumations , hospitals and other works.

    SE Kupwara, Exn R&B Handwara, Exn R&B Langate, AEE’s and other concerned accompanied by the Chief Engineer.

    He directed the concerned agency to speed up pace on remaining work and ensure completion of the Transit Accumodation within stipulated time line. He also issued directions for construction of boundary wall of this immediately.

    The chief Engineer also inspected varios bridges and directed the concerned to widen the passing plate of the road across the bride, so that heavy vehicles can also ply easily. He stressed for timely completion of the bridge to facilitate smooth flow of vehicles and commuters,he also directed the concerned agencies to complete the remaining works at an earliest.

    Later, He chaired a meeting of officers in the Meeting Hall of Dak BBunglow Handwara wherein strict instruction towards achieving deadlines were issued. He impressed upon concerned executing agencies to ensure coordination for expeditious and timely outcomes.

    JAMMU AUGUST 09:–Akhnoor Youth Congress workers celebrated the foundation day of Youth Congress at different places. Mr. Ganga Sagar Singh (President, Youth Congress Akhnoor) started this activity by taking a pledge of the objective of Youth Congress in Jourian Tehsil of Akhnoor Constituency.

    Continuing the campaign, Mr. Avinash Bhagat (Vice President, Youth Congress Akhnoor) along with his colleagues celebrated this day by conducting a plantation drive in Pargwal Tehsil of Akhnoor Constituency and Mr. Anil Kumar (Distt Gen Sec, Jammu Rural) along with his colleagues took the pledge of Youth Congress in Block Bhalwal Brahmana of Akhnoor Constituency.

    RAJOURI AUGUST 09:–Under the overall supervision of State Drug Controller, Lotika Khajuria, a team of Drug Control Officers conducted: surprise inspections of over 50 retail sale establishments (medical stores) across Rajouri-Poonch districts and suspended licences of 5 shops for violation of conditions of the licenses.
    The team of Drug Control Officers under directives of the Deputy Controller. Mohd Iqbal Pala and under the personnel supervision of Assistant Controller Drugs Rajouri-Poonch, Archana Mujoog conducted surprise inspections of the retail sale establishments.
    The team also holds awareness workshops for the license holders at Rajouri, Poonch Mandi, Nowshera and Sundarbani, and educates the medical shop owners about conditions of the licenses and sale of banned drugs without doctor’s prescriptions.
    Assistant 08k5Controller Drugs, Rajouri-Poonch, informed them that the government has initiated proactive measures to see the society free of substance abuse.
    “The department under the overall supervision of the State Drug Controller has initiated a special drive to ensure that the pharmacies dispense medicines in the best interest of patient and public care,” he said.
    The chemist fraternity was impressed upon to adhere to the conditions of licenses and mandate of law and to dispense the medicines strictly in consonance with Registered medical practitioners only.
    “Strict instructions have been issued to install CCTV cameras and computerized billing systems as per the directives of the government,” said Mohd Iqbal Pala.
    “An emphasis has been given that complete sale records must be maintained for scheduled H1 medicines and in particular the formulations prone to cause addiction and warned the troade fraternity to desist from any unethical trade practices, ” he added.
