    RAJOURI AUGUST 05:–The Rajouri unit of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference organized a workers’ meeting which was presided over by District President National Conference Shafaat Khan, while the workers spoke in the presence of the senior leader of the National Conference and the Chairman of District Development Council Rajouri, Advocate Naseem Liaquat. The purpose of the meeting is to condemn the duplicitous policies of the central government and to remember August 5 as a black day. Provincial Vice President Manzoor Malik, Provincial Secretary Shafqat Mir, Senior Leader Nirman Singh, DDC Member Dahangari Thakur Rameshwar Singh, Advocate Mukhtar Mirza, Number of workers were present on this occasion.

    In the meeting Number of speakers  condemned the policies of the central government and said that 5th August 2019 was the darkest day for the people of Jammu and Kashmir on which our identity and our state were taken away from us in a planned conspiracy. . The speakers said that even after 5 years our wounds are fresh and until we get our state and identity back our wounds will remain fresh. The speakers said that today not only Jammu and Kashmir but the whole of India is in troubled by the BJP and its government, inflation, unemployment have reached a peak and there are thousands of other problems which no one is solving. The speakers said that the way we all showed unity in the Lok Sabha and made Mian Altaf Ahmed Larvi successful and reached the parliament, now we have to once again rise above the caste community and defeat the BJP candidates in the assembly elections.

    DDC Chairman Advocate Naseem Liaquat declared 5th August as a black day on behalf of the people of Rajouri and said that the decision of 5th August was taken to destroy the people of Jammu and Kashmir and to destroy our revolutionary state. Divided into parts and converted into UT. Naseem Liaquat said that we believe that we will get our identity again and the state will also be restored today or whenever the assembly elections are held, the BJP will be given an answer that they will remember till their last breath he added.

    NC district president Rajouri Shafait Khan also condemned the decision of August 5 and said that our state will also be restored one day our identity will also be given to us with honor and respect. He said that I am grateful to the people for voting vigorously in the Lok Sabha elections and in the same way Mian Altaf Ahmed Larvi was successful, we have to make all our candidates successful in the assembly elections and here is a lesson to be learned, but we have to keep our unity strong and end caste-community fighting.

    Briefing media persons, Mr Ravinder Sharma expressed concern over the delay in restoration of state hood after five years of downgrading historical state on Aug 5,2019.Instead our left out rights in UT have been snatched and vested in Lt Governor.
    He said that although it will be a powerless elected government and assembly but Congress party iis fully prepared for assembly elections.

    Government should control militancy and ensure conducive security environment for smooth elections.A large number of people from different walks met the committee and appreciated the party for doing such exercise for first time. They raised several issues of common concern.

    Earlier the committee interacted with prominent citizens, retired officers,Refugees pensioners and farmers& others at Dak Bunglow sunderbani. They put forth various issues of different sections of public.     RAJOURI, AUGUST 03: –Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajeev Kumar Khajuria, alongwith other committee members conducted the inspection of private tution/ coaching centres of the Sunderbani Sub-Division on the second day of the drive. Today, the committee inspected seven coaching centres of Sunderbani area, where the building safety certificate, fire safety certificate, mode of payments, ventillation & first aid facilities, availability of clean portable water, toilets, illumination, hygiene, helpline numbers, condition of classrooms & other infrastructural details & facilities available for students are properly checked. The continuous inspection of all coaching centers shall be carried in other areas of the district, so to ensure that the coaching centres following all mandatory safety and operational guidelines function in the district. The stringent action shall be taken action shall be taken against all those centres where the norms are violated, which includes the sealing of non complying centres.

    RAJOURI AUGUST 05:–Department of Botany in collaboration with the Cultural and Literary Committee, NSS & NCC units of Government Degree College Rajouri, organized a vibrant painting competition alongside an inspiring plantation drive named “Ak Pedh Maa K Naam.” in connection with the celebration of 77th National Independence day.

    The event took place under the esteemed supervision of Principal Dr. K.K. Sharma and aimed to foster creativity while promoting environmental awareness among students. Dr. Tajinder Singh, Head of the Botany Department, played a pivotal role in organizing the event, ensuring that both the painting competition and the plantation drive were seamlessly executed. The event attracted numerous enthusiastic participants who showcased their artistic talents through various themes, all centered around nature and its preservation. Prof. Ajaz Nazir and Prof. Rabia Choudhary were instrumental in coordinating the activities, guiding students in both their artistic expressions and the importance of planting trees. The plantation drive emphasized the significance of greenery in combating climate change and enhancing the local ecosystem. Participants not only had the opportunity to express their creativity but also engaged in the meaningful act of planting trees, contributing to a healthier environment.

    RAJOURI, AUGUST 05: –District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat & Mission Director Jal Jeevan Mission J&K, Dr. Ghulam Nabi Itoo, today chaired a detailed review meeting of JJM flagship programme in district Rajouri. The meeting was held as a follow-up of various directions given by the Chief Secretary & Financial Commissioner Jal Shakti Department, during the review of Jal Jeevan Mission in the UT on 3rd August, 2024.

    A detailed presentation was made by the Superintending Engineer, Hydraulic circle Rajouri regarding the status of implementation of the mission in the district, wherein it was informed that 298 Schemes at an estimated cost of Rs. 1740 crores have been planned to cover all its 1.33 lakh rural households with Functional household Tap Connections (FHTCs) by building adequate infrastructure in the shape of 24 dug-wells, 174 bore-wells, 107 Rapid sand Filtration Plants, 09 Over Head Tanks and about 16500 KMs of pipe network besides 261 lift stations. It was further informed that almost all the civil works have been awarded and the execution on 590 such components out of 629 have started on ground, which are at different stages of physical completion. It was further informed that the department initially faced challenges in drilling of the bore-wells due to non-availability of suitable aquifer in various parts of the district and for which alternative sources have been identified or the drilling has been taken up at alternate locations so that a sustainable water supply system is established.

    The meeting discussed the timelines for completion of the schemes and directed for focusing on the immediate development of remaining sources and installation of pumping machinery to start the operation of the schemes in which storages and other civil structures have been completed. The meeting was also attended by the team of consultants and the District Project Monitoring Units (DPMUs) which have been established for providing the technical advice and monitoring of the implementation of the mission at UT and district levels. Mission Director reiterated the directions of the Chief Secretary J&K and the Additional Chief Secretary Jal Shakti Department for concurrent inspection of the schemes by the Consultants and the Project Managers of the DPMUs for ascertaining the technical feasibility and the source sustainability aspects.

    The Parcharak and Ragi Jatha had thrown the light on life of 8* Guru Mahraj ji.
    Guru Harkrishan Mahraj ji that was the eighth Guru of the Sikhs. He is also known as the Bal Guru (Child Guru). He was the youngest of all Gurus having attained that status at the tender age of five. His span of guru ship was also the shortest. Guru Harkrishan Mahraj ji is indeed an example that spirituality as an experience is independent of age. His personality can be summarized in the words of Guru Gobind Singh who later wrote that he is one “whose sight dispels all discomforts” (Jis Dithe Sab Dukh Jaye ).
