    RAJOURI AUGUST 04:–SSP Rajouri Randeep Kumar, JKPS, conducted an in-depth review of arrangements for upcoming Shri Baba Budha Amarnath Ji Yatra – 2024, which is about to commence in next two days.

    This time again, like earlier , the yatra batches shall conduct its holy journey from Jammu to Poonch and vice versa passing through district Rajouri. Mentionable that enroute multiple halt locations with facilities for meals and other amenities and necessities have also been established.

    SSP Rajouri visited the halt points where he was briefed upon by concerned territorial officers regarding security and other logistic arrangements in place for smooth and peaceful conduct of this Annual Pilgrimage.

    He reviewed these arrangements and also met with Yatra organising committee representatives.

    SSP Rajouri exhorted upon the organisers to ensure that all necessary directions as specified in issued SOPs of yatra are implemented in letter and spirit.

    Adherance to administration issued cut off timing as specified for Up and Down Yatra, besides adopting only designated yatra route through NH-144, for both local and non-local yatris were the main concerns, which SSP Rajouri stressed upon.

    Notably, SSP Rajouri imparted upon all concerned territorial officers including Addl.SPs, SDPOs, SHOs, ICPPs and their teams to take all requisite necessary steps on ground and make sure that foolproof security arrangements are in place for successful conduct of this annual event.

    SRINAGAR AUGUST 04:–Ruheena Shahzad , Social – Political activist has expressed concern & anguish over a cloudburst that caused significant damage in the Kangan area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district. The affected villages, including Kavachavar, Chirwa, & Padabal, experienced mudslides that not only damaged property and residential houses but also blocked the Srinagar National Highway, an important route.

    Ruheena Shahzad appeals LG administration to provide adequate compensation to the victims for rehabilitation.

    She also acknowledged the efforts of security forces, paramilitary, & police in ongoing rescue operations to clear the roads and assistant to the affected families.

    POONCH AUGUST 04:–Mohd Ashfaq son of Abdul Majid a resident of Seri Khawaja village of Poonch district has made history by becoming the first boy from the Peer Panjal region to win a Bronze medal in Pencak Silat at the national championship held in UT Ladakh.

    He was trained under the expert guidance of Pervaiz Malik and Manzoor Ahmed Lone REK teachers.

    This achievement is a proud moment for Poonch and Rajouri as Mohd Ashfaq is the first boy from the region to participate in a national-level Pencak Silat championship.

    Number of Political,social activists and citizens Congratulations to his coaches Pervaiz Malik and Manzoor Lone REK teachers from the Department of Youth Services and Sports for their guidance and support. and also heartfelt congratulations  to his parents and the Pencak Silat Federation J&K for their role in building a fair selection system that enabled deserving candidates like Mohd Ashfaq to shine.

    This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Youth Services and Sports Department and Sports Council. Mohd Ashfaq’s success is a proud moment for the people of Poonch.
