    RAJOURI JULY 26:–The annual pilgrimage of Poonchs’ Budha Amarnath temple referred to as Shri Baba Budha Amarnath Yatra is going to start on 6th of August with first batch of pilgrims will be flagged off from Jammu on this day while it will pay obeisance at Shri Baba Budha Amarnath temple in Poonch Mandi on August 7th.

    In connection with this pilgrimage, different Hindu organisations including Vishav Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal held a press conference in Rajouri.

    This press conference was addressed by the senior representatives of both Hindu organisations include Bajrang Dal District President Sahil Sharma and Vishav Hindu Parishad District President Kewal Sharma.

    Addressing the Press Conference,  representatives said that Shri Budha Amarnath Yatra is connected with religious emotions of people from across the country and devotees from all the states and UT will reach the area to pay obeisance at Shri Baba Budha Amarnath temple..

    They said that Government should ensure that all the necessary and required arrangements for smooth conduct of pilgrimage are made well in time and pilgrims from across the country face no hardships.

    They especially called for strong security arrangements to ensure peaceful conduct of Yatra as a number of terror incidents have taken place in the region during last couple of months.

    RAJOURI, JULY 26:–In a significant move to bolster rural development initiatives in the district, Additional District Commissioner Rajouri, Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa, today chaired a comprehensive review meeting of the Rural Development Department .

    During the meeting, the progress made under various flagship programs, including PMAY and Awas Plus, aadhaar seeding, person days generated under MGNREGA, SBM-G and other schemes was meticulouslyreviewed. The ACD provided a detailed briefing on the status of these schemes. It was informed that out of 62314 houses under PMAY and Awas Plus, the work on 43213 houses is complete. While taking review of the progress made on persons days generation under MGNREGA, it was apprised that 297350 PDs have been generated as on date. Taking note of the court cases of RDD, the ADDC stressed the importance of timely filing of replies. He also reviewed the activities under SBM-G and the updation of GPDP on the PDI portal. While taking note of the activities as a part of the ongoing Swatchta Pakhwada, he directed for ensuring maximum participation in the initiative.

    The ADDC emphasized the importance of timely completion of works as a crucial factor in maximizing the benefits derived from rural development initiatives. He also stressed that timely completion of works, ensuring that benefits reach the intended beneficiaries, maintaining transparency and accountability and close monitoring of progress are essential. He also directed the officers to make dedicated efforts and work with added zeal to meet the expectations of the rural masses. The comprehensive review meeting demonstrated the unwavering commitment of the district administration to rural development, underscoring the impact of various schemes and initiatives on the lives of its residents.

    The meeting was attended by the Assistant Commissioner Development, Vijay Kumar; Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Sheraz Chowhan; EXEN REW, Zaheer Khan and Block Development Officers.

    RAJOURI, JULY 26:-‘Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat today visited the Chief Agriculture Office Rajouri today to review the launch of Kissan Khidmat Ghar under HADP and other schemes being implemented by the department.

    During the meeting Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the working of different schemes run by department of Agriculture Production and Farmers Welfare and he laid emphasis on successful implementation of Holistic Agriculture Development Project in the district. During the review he passed instructions to expedite the clearance of all pending HADP applications and issued instructions to field staff to reach out to the maximum number of farmers and disseminate the latest farm information among the farmers.

    For launch of Kissan Khidmat Ghar he passed instructions to get the facelift of all 20 centers where KKG are going to be inaugurated / launched in Phase-I on 4th of July-2024. Ensure the availability of Internet network & electricity connection in these centers. The DC directed the Agriculture Department to take all necessary measures to guarantee the availability of good seeds that meet the prescribed standards. Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner stressed that the department must ensure that the seeds and fertilizers are sold at the rates fixed by the government, preventing any unfair practices that could burden the farmers. The progress under FPOs and the role of FPOs for the benefits of farming community was also reviewed and he stressed on the improvement of working of FPO & directed to review the functioning & performance of CBBO responsible for the handholding & strengthening of FPOs in the district.

    Chief Agriculture Officer, Sohan Singh further elaborated that 56412 hectares of area has been covered under Kharif crops during the season & record 5735 Qtls of Maize, 318 Qtls Paddy, 768 Qtls of Fodder, 5 Qtls Oilseeds were distributed during Kharif 2024 season in the district. Under HADP a total of 11793 applications were received, whereas District Level Committee cleared 7882 cases, and 509 no of beneficiaries were benefitted from the HADP scheme amounting to benefits of Rs. 202.61 Lacs. The meeting was attended by District Officers of Agriculture Department and other field staff.

    RAJOURI JULY 26:–Azhar National Academy observed Kargil Vijay Diwas with great enthusiasm and patriotism, paying tribute to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives defending the nation.

    To commemorate the occasion, the academy organized a painting competition among its students, encouraging them to express their gratitude and respect for the Indian Army through their artwork.

    The competition saw an overwhelming response from students across various age groups, who showcased their creativity and talent through vibrant paintings. The themes ranged from the bravery of Indian soldiers to the scenic landscapes of Kargil.

    The event began with a solemn ceremony, where the students and staff paid homage to the martyrs of the Kargil War. The academy’s chairman, Yaseen Mustafa Malik , addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas and the importance of remembering the sacrifices of our soldiers.

    The painting competition was judged by a panel of esteemed guests, who praised the students for their creativity and skill. The winners were awarded prizes and certificates, and all participants received appreciation certificates.

    Through this event, Azhar National Academy aimed to instill a sense of patriotism and national pride among its students, while also honoring the heroes of the Kargil War.
