    CHENAB VALLEY JULY 18:–Bunjwah, A neglected region in Kishtwar district having the status of Tehsil Headquarters and having its boundaries with Himachal Pardesh, Padder, and Bhalessa and river Kali Naag is having its origin in Bunjwah, flowing toward Dunadi Thathri and forms the Chenab called as Chandra Bhaga. Bunjwah is a naturally decorated region like Bhaderwah and its beauties can be compared with Sonamarg, Gulmarg, Patnitop, and other famous tourist destinations across Jammu and Kashmir. This naturally decorated region of Chenab valley always becomes the prey of politics as no one representative and even DDC Member Bunjwah don’t pays to heed its development. As it has so many natural beauties like rivers, springs, meadows, and evergreen forests.

     

    In Bunjwah a famous picnic spot is popularly known as “DEVIGOAL” in village Patnazi 9 km away from Tehsil Headquarters Bunjwah is a naturally decorated place in Bunjwah that is covered with lash green firest of deodar, kail, fur, Himalayan mountains, and many more. A water spring located in the middle of DEVIGOAL Bunjwah had made its valve and shine in this remote region.

    This famous picnic and tourist spot remain untouched with road connectivity and the tourism department failed in bringing it on the tourism map. Unfortunately, this region is always neglected by the district administration and the Kishtwar Development Authority and Youth Services and Sports. The only link road is known as Dunadi Bunjwah, KewaPull Kither, Tanta Devigoal, and Patnazi either road is in worse condition from the last few decades.

    “It is time to think about how peoples are residing in this remote region of Kishtwar in the 21st century when slogans are raised of Digital India. It is pertinent to mention that the tourism department and Kishtwar Development Authority have not looked over this naturally decorated region of Kishtwar district.

    The public of Bunjwah seeks personal intervention of Lieutenant Governor Shri. Manoj Kumar Sinha to personally intervene in this matter and direct concerned authorities in bringing Devigoal Bunjwah under the tourism sector and constructing of tourist huts and toilets, Children Parks at Devigoal an earliest so as Bunjwah shall become the best tourist destination in Chenab valley.

    Locals also demanded for organising the Devigoal festival 2024 in collaboration of the Tourism Department

    SRINAGAR JULY 18:–In a heartfelt tribute to Imam Hussain (AS), a blood donation camp was organized by IDHRA AUQAF ISLAMIA at Imam Bargah Hazrat Abul Fazlil Abbas, Hakim Mohalla Baghwanpora, Lal Bazar, Srinagar. The event saw an overwhelming response with over 100 pints of blood donated by various individuals.

    Prominent figures among the donors included Moulana Hakim Sajad Hussain , Dr. Mudasir Social activists Farhan Kitab, Munshi Danish and Hakim Suhail Abbas Kashmiri were present and appreciated the event’s significance and organization.

    The camp was made possible through the diligent efforts of the Care Taker of Imam Bargah, Hakim Shoib, who arranged all necessary logistics in collaboration with Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Soura Srinagar.

    This event not only commemorated the legacy of Imam Hussain (AS) but also highlighted the community’s spirit of giving and unity.

    RAJOURI, JULY 18: -Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat today reviewed the arrangements for the Independence Day celebrations. The meeting was attended by officers of line departments where different aspects of the arrangements were discussed in detail.The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the significance of the day and directed officers to put in coordinated efforts to ensure that all arrangements are put in place well in time. It was decided that the celebrations of the day will begin with Shehnai Vadan by the Information Department, followed by the flag hoisting ceremony, parade and holding of cultural activities. The main function shall be held at District Police Line Rajouri and full dress rehearsal shall be conducted on 13th August 2024.

    To ensure that the celebrations are conducted smoothly, the Deputy Commissioner instructed officers to ensure adequate security arrangements, cleanliness, medicare, illumination of government buildings, parking facilities, traffic management and proper seating arrangements at the main venue. Emphasizing the significance of Independence Day, the DC underscored the need for meticulous planning and coordination to ensure a memorable and impactful celebration of the day. The Deputy Commissioner directed the officers to put all necessary arrangements in place well in advance for the smooth and successful celebration of the National Day.

    RAJOURI, JULY 18: –A disability camp for specially-abled persons and senior citizens was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat at GMC & AH Rajouri.The camp aims to provide assistive devices and appliances to needy individuals, promoting their physical, social and psychological rehabilitation.

    While speaking on the inaugural function Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat emphasized on the objective to assist the needy persons with disabilities by providing durable, sophisticated and scientifically manufactured modern, standard aids and appliances that can promote their physical, social and psychological rehabilitation by reducing the effects of disabilities. He also said that this initiative is a significant step towards promoting inclusivity and empowering specially-abled persons and senior citizens in the region.

    District Social Welfare Officer Rajouri, Abdul Raheem briefed the participants about the initiative for improving the quality of life for persons with disabilities , senior citizens and ensuring their access to essential mobility aids.He further informed that such assessment camps are also being organized at Tehsil Headquarters of Darhal, Thanamandi, Kotranka, Nowshera, Sunderbani and Kalakote w.e.f 18.07.2024 to 26.07.2024 for the assessment of Physically Challenged persons / Senior Citizens of the District for providing assistive devices/aids and appliances under ADIP and Rashtriya Vyoshri Yojana (RVY) Schemes.

    Dr. Mehmood Bajjar, Superintendent GMC Rajouri informed that to provide assistance to these specially-abled persons District Disability Rehabilitation Centre has been established at District Hospital Rajouri for providing similar facilities to specially abled persons.

    Among the others who remained present on the occasion were; District Social Welfare Officer Rajouri, Abdul Raheem; Superintendent GMC Rajouri,Mehmood Bajran, Doctors of the GMC Rajouri,Tehsil Social Welfare Officer Rajouri and the experts from ALMICO.
