    POONCH JULY 08:– Parvaiz Ahmad Malik, Spokesperson of All J&K Rehbar-e-Khel Teachers Forum, along with other members from district Poonch, held a significant meeting with Member Parliament Mian Altaf Larvi of Rajouri-Anantnag parliamentary constituency, at Poonch.

    The delegation discussed the pressing issues faced by Rehbar-e-Khel teachers and presented a comprehensive memorandum to the Member of Parliament.

    During the meeting, Parvaiz Ahmad Malik highlighted the critical challenges and concerns impacting the Rehbar-e-Khel teachers, emphasizing the urgent need for intervention and resolution.

    The delegation appealed to the Member Parliament Mian Altaf Larvi to address these issues in the ongoing parliamentary session and advocate for the Rehbar-e-Khel teachers’ cause before the Government of India.

    Mian Altaf Larvi assured the delegation of his full support and commitment to raising the Rehbar-e-Khel teachers’ issues at both the national and union territory levels. He expressed his understanding of the importance of these matters and promised to take necessary steps to ensure the concerns of Rehbar-e-Khel teachers are brought to the attention of the relevant authorities.

    The All J&K Rehbar-e-Khel Teachers Forum remains hopeful that this meeting will lead to positive outcomes and significant progress in addressing the challenges faced by Rehbar-e-Khel teachers across Jammu & Kashmir.

    RAJOURI, JULY 08: –Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat, today inaugurated a basic computer course for 120 girls (including girls of Parisha) under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) initiatives at ITI Rajouri. The Computer course, is organized by the Social Welfare Department in collaboration with ITI Rajouri and it aims to empower girls with digital literacy.

    While inaugurating the course, DC Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat, emphasized the importance of education and skill development for girls, stating, “Empowering girls with education and skills is crucial for their bright future and the overall development of society.”

    The DC also interacted with the trainees, motivating them to excel in the choosen field. He also encouraged the girls to take full benefit of this opportunity. He stressed the significance of digital literacy in today’s world and encouraged the girls to become ambassadors of change in their communities.

    The course will cover basic computer skills, equipping the girls with essential digital knowledge and the training will be provided by experienced instructors.

    This initiative will strengthen the objectives of the BBBP program, which includes promoting gender equality and creating an enabling environment for girls to pursue their goals.

    RAJOURI, JULY 08:— Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat today chaired a meeting to review the preparedness for the South West Monsoons.

    The officers from various departments briefed the meeting about their preparedness measures to takle the situation arisingout of heavy rains due to South West Monsoons. A comprehensive discussion was held on important points such as the identification of flood-prone areas, land loss areas, traffic management in flood-affected areas and others. Officers were instructed to maintain a close vigil on these areas and increase the public awareness about the potential hazards.

    Deputy Commissioner Om Prakash Bhagat, emphasized the importance of coordination among all stakeholders to effectively mitigate the impact of the monsoons. The Irrigation and Flood Control (I&FC) department was asked to ensure proper repair and desilting of irrigation canals and keep issuing regular updates regarding the water level in the rivers/streams. The officer from the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) was directed to ensure a proper drainage system from Phalayana to Salani on NH144A. SDRF department was asked to keep all resources fully prepared and ready to quickly respond in case any such situation arises.

    The Deputy Commissioner also directed the officers to remain prepared to respond promptly in case of any emergency arising out of heavy rains. He stressed the importance of being proactive and taking preventive measures to minimize the impact of monsoons. He also asked the officers to ensure that all necessary equipment and resources are in place and that the emergency services are on high alert. The Deputy Commissioner reiterated the need for a coordinated approach to ensure the safety and well-being of the residents during the monsoon season.
