Situation Of Relief Commissioner Offices Is Very Shameful, Worrisome And Appears Like A Living Dead Body

PEOPLE BELONGING TO THE KASHMIRI PANDIT COMMUNITY WORK IN HIGH POSITIONS IN THE STATE GOVERNMENT ARE NOT READY TO REDRESS THE GRIEVANCES OF KASHMIRI PANDITS.

APPEAL TO ALL THE COUNTRIES OF THE WORLD TO COME FORWARD TO HELP  THE UPROOTED JOURNALIST IN EVERY POSSIBLE WAY

    BY ASHOK RAINA

JAMMU JULY 04 :–In the state of Jammu and Kashmir, the working situation in the government offices is a very shameful and worrisome act.

Circulars have been issued many times by the central government as well as the state government that any citizen’s applications submission or any type of representation cum request should be processed within 15 days, but it is shock and dismay to say that the Relief Commissioner’s office is such that even after a gap of more than four months, the requests are not processed or processed. You know what miracle is happening at present time .When information was sought under the RTI Act 2005 about the action taken in connection with the request and representation submitted under proper receipt by the applicant given to the Relief Commissioner and Rehabilitation Department under the RTI Act, the Relief and Rehabilitation Department has remained still a silent spectator.

It is noteworthy that when the information seeker and an applicant from the PIO did not receive any response in this regard, the said applicants filed the first appeal under the RTI Act, after taking a long time, the appellant authority finally responded within 15 days. Orders were issued to provide the necessary information and required information to the information seeker within 15 days but regrettably, even after the lapse of said period , no information has been received regarding the action taken on the said representation submitted the senior citizen

. It is also to be seen that if no information has been obtained in relation to the given application even in spite of the RTI Act, how many citizens’ applications will have disappeared by throwing them in the garbage baskets and how many salaries have the responsible officers and officials being paid during the last few months as excluded from the public treasury which is against the law and the decision of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India where the Supreme Court clearly says that every employee has the right to get salary equal to the work done by him or her.

People belonging to the kashmiri pandit community who work in high positions in the state government are not ready to redress the grievances of kashmiri pandits.. Even in the presence of Atul Dullo, Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir, Anil Kaul, Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir and Relief Commissioner Jinab Arvind Karwani, Kashmiri Pandits are still facing atrocities.

In the time and era since my childhood, I wonder to myself today how unfortunately it has come to the age and era where people in government offices are getting nothing but frustration and sorrow.

If we talk about the Kashmiri Pandit officers and officials, then rightly they are not at all willing to do the work of the General people related to the Kashmiri Pandits.

I appeal to all the countries of the world to come forward to help me in every possible way to save me from the cruel adoption of the present government and also help me for the freedom of expression ,right to job opportunity in my birth country , right to do the job of journalism at par with other journalists of jammu and kashmir ,right to freedom of my religion. right to live with dignity and honour in my own country without any harassment and mental torture, seeking termination all those candidates being fraduluently appointed in my selected place.

If here It would be talked about the general people and poor people of Kashmiri pandit families It is apparently visible during the current period of government rice and ration are being given to Kashmiri refugees for one month after three months, which also makes it clear, that means Only three kilos of rice is given to a single soul instead of the ration card claims to give 9 kilos of rice to a single soul every month and the fact is that flour is already locked and stopped to the migrants. Under the current regime, hooliganism has flourished and the world of crime has also seen a lot of growth in the state.

Karra said, “The aspirational class in India who have felt voiceless during the BJP regime were enthused by the sincere representation of their genuine issues and struggles by Rahul Gandhi. Moreover, by that speech, he has reinvented the spirit among underrepresented people, who have for long felt disenfranchised, disempowered and excluded.”
“Interestingly, people of Jammu and Kashmir see a ray of hope in Rahul Gandhi, as they feel that the Rahul Gandhi has bravely defended the minorities in a time their voice was choked, and their rights were snatched. As last time, when there was no big leader who talked about issues regarding Kashmir, Rahul Gandhi came to Kashmir to talk to common people,” he added.
Karra said the Kashmiris came out in droves to see him, to appreciate him, so that they can show affection and solidarity towards the leader who they see can bring them out of the socio-economic and political plight. Even in his speech on Presidential address he forcefully advocated grant of Statehood before holding Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
“We have been getting amplified response from the people of Kashmir after Rahul Gandhi’s iconic Bharat Jodo Yatra and his demand in the State has surprisingly increased million times. This is the first time in the history of Kashmir when people of the valley have connected with a National leader more than any Regional leaders,” Karra added. (Daily Excelsior)

  • Gundi to Mohalla Chowana Road seeking Attention.Use of Sub Standard Material A Matter of Investigation

Gundi to Mohalla Chowana Road seeking Attention.Use of Sub Standard Material A Matter of Investigation

    GNS ONLINE NEWS PORTAL

POONCH JULY 04:–The condition of roads at various places is a matter of grave concern. Numerous areas suffer from either incomplete roads or roads that deteriorate rapidly due to the use of substandard materials. This not only highlights the misuse of public funds but also underscores a lack of accountability among contractors and government departments. Despite the significant budget allocated for infrastructure, the public continues to suffer from inadequate and unsafe roads.

A glaring example of this neglect is the Main Road from Gundi to Mohallah Chowana in Poonch, The initial earthwork for this road was completed in 2019, and it has undergone single metaling twice since then. However, as we approach 2024, the road remains un-macadamized. The poor condition of this road has led to the destruction of local lands and has caused significant inconvenience to the residents. Commuters face daily hardships navigating this unsafe stretch.

Despite repeated appeals to the PWD department, the residents’ concerns have been ignored. The road’s deplorable state, despite being in close proximity to the city headquarters, is a testament to the negligence and apathy towards the plight of the local population. Residents are left questioning their right to basic infrastructure and whether their tax money is being utilized effectively.

It is high time that the authorities take immediate action to address this issue. The residents of Poonch are urging the Deputy Commissioner Poonch and relevant departments to prioritize the macadamization of this road.

The voices of the people of this area must be heard. It is their right to have safe and reliable roads, and it is the duty of the authorities to ensure this.

  • The Resourcefulness Of The CHENAB VALLEY : Mineral Wealth And Rresource Exploitation of The Chenab Belt.

The Resourcefulness Of The CHENAB VALLEY : Mineral Wealth And Rresource Exploitation of The Chenab Belt.

    GNS ONLINE NEWS PORTAL

    BY AHMAD AYAZ

The Chenab Valley, comprising significant towns and cities such as Kishtwar, Doda, Bhaderwah, Banihal, Ramban, and Batote, is a region teeming with natural resources. This district is notably rich in forest wealth and possesses an inexhaustible hydropower potential. Kishtwar stands as the largest and most culturally developed city in the area. Doda, located on the slopes of a hill, is the second-largest city and was the district headquarters of the entire Chenab Belt until recently.

    DEMOGRAPHICS AND HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

The Chenab Valley’s population is predominantly Muslim, with approximately three-fourths of its residents tracing their origins to Kashmir. This migration occurred via the Brari Pass and the treacherous route from Kashtigarh to Ramban, through Pogul and Kapran, to Kashmir. During the late 19th century, particularly after 1885, Shawl Bafs from Kashmir, facing threats of life and starvation, migrated to towns such as Bhaderwah and Basohli. Bhaderwah, historically known as Bhaderwar, is situated on the left bank of the Neeru Nalla and was primarily inhabited by Kashmiri-speaking Muslims. Due to its climate and vegetation, Bhaderwah is often referred to as “Chota Kashmir.” Similar to Doda, Bhaderwah also has a fort that has been converted into a prison.Overall, the Chenab Belt is predominantly Muslim, with the majority being Kashmiri-speaking Muslims who either migrated or were exiled from Kashmir. The second major population group comprises local Hindus of various castes, who speak Bhaderwahi, Sheerazi, and Kishtwari languages in addition to Dogri. Gujjars are sparsely distributed throughout the region, while Gadhis are found near the Chamba and Himachal borders, where a few Buddhists reside in Padar. There are also some Shias in Chanderkot and a small community of Gorkhas near Bhaderwah. Interestingly, Sikhs are not prominently seen, except for a few shopkeepers around Batote and Doda. Christians and members of the Ahmadiyya sect are also present in Bhaderwah.

CULTURAL AND LINGUISTIC TIES TO KASHMIR

The Chenab Valley, particularly in areas like upper Kishtwar (Chatru, Dachan, Marwah, Margan, and Wadwan), shares a strong cultural and linguistic affinity with Kashmir. Marriage customs in these regions closely resemble those of Kashmir, although food options are influenced by local produce. The wildlife in Kishtwar is abundant and will be discussed in detail in the next segment, along with the valley’s mineral wealth and other natural resources, including its extensive forest wealth and agricultural products.

    RICH MINERAL RESOURCES

The Chenab Valley is rich in mineral resources, including sapphire, gypsum, and limestone. Kishtwar is particularly famous for its sapphire mines, which are considered some of the finest in the world. These mines have the potential to significantly boost the local economy if managed and utilized efficiently. Gypsum and limestone deposits are abundant in the region and are crucial for the cement and construction industries. However, these resources have often been subject to exploitation and mismanagement, resulting in minimal benefits to the local population.

    HYDROPOWER POTENTIAL

The Chenab Valley is endowed with vast hydropower potential due to its numerous rivers and streams. The Chenab River, which flows through the valley, offers immense opportunities for hydropower generation. Projects such as the Dul Hasti Hydroelectric Plant have already harnessed some of this potential, but there remains a vast untapped capacity that could contribute significantly to the region’s energy needs and economic development. Proper development and management of these hydropower projects can transform the Chenab Valley into a major energy hub.

    FOREST WEALTH

The forests of the Chenab Valley are rich in timber and non-timber forest products. These forests are home to a variety of tree species, including deodar, pine, and fir. The timber industry has traditionally been a major economic activity in the region, providing livelihoods to many locals. However, unchecked logging and deforestation have posed significant threats to the forest ecosystem. Sustainable forest management practices are essential to preserve this valuable resource and ensure long-term ecological balance.

    AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS

Agriculture is a vital part of the Chenab Valley’s economy, with the region producing a variety of crops such as maize, wheat, and pulses. The fertile soil and favorable climate conditions make it possible to grow high-quality crops that can support the local population and contribute to food security. Additionally, horticulture, particularly apple orchards, is a growing sector that holds great promise for economic development. The region’s apples are known for their taste and quality, and expanding this sector can provide substantial economic benefits.

    WILDLIFE AND BIODIVERSITY

The Chenab Valley is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including several endangered species. The Kishtwar High Altitude National Park is a significant conservation area that provides habitat for species such as the snow leopard, Himalayan brown bear, and musk deer. Conservation efforts are crucial to protect these species and maintain the region’s biodiversity. Promoting eco-tourism can also help raise awareness and generate revenue for conservation initiatives.

    EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Education in the Chenab Valley has seen significant improvements over the past few decades, yet there are still challenges to be addressed. The region boasts several higher education institutions, including the Government Degree College in Bhaderwah and the University Campus in Kishtwar, which offer a range of academic programs. However, many rural areas still lack access to quality education, with inadequate infrastructure and a shortage of trained teachers. While education remains a challenge, the region has produced some of the tallest political leaders of the time, such as Ghulam Nabi Azad, and many distinguished IAS officers like Shahid Iqbal Choudhary and Aijaz Assad. These notable figures demonstrate the potential of the region’s educational system when opportunities are provided.Improving educational facilities and ensuring equitable access to education are critical for the region’s development. Government and non-governmental organizations need to collaborate to enhance the quality of education, provide vocational training, and promote digital literacy. Investing in education will empower the youth of the Chenab Valley, enabling them to contribute effectively to the region’s socio-economic growth.

    CHALLENGES AND FUTURE PROSPECTS

Despite its immense natural wealth, the Chenab Valley faces numerous challenges, including resource mismanagement, environmental degradation, and inadequate infrastructure. Addressing these issues requires a multi-faceted approach that involves sustainable resource management, environmental conservation, and infrastructure development. Engaging the local communities in these efforts is essential to ensure that they benefit from the region’s resources and contribute to its sustainable development. The future of the Chenab Valley hinges on its ability to harness its natural resources responsibly and sustainably. By focusing on sustainable development, conservation, and community engagement, the region can achieve significant economic growth while preserving its rich natural heritage for future generations.
