RAJOURI MARCH 28:–Rangmanch Theatre Group Rajouri on Wednesday celebrated World Theatre Day (WTD) by reading the script of the play KAFAN which is written by the legendary writer Munshi Premchand.
‘Kafan’ is a wonderful composition of short stories written by the idealist-reformist Munshi Premchand. These stories are a perfect combination of idealism and realism which traces the socio-economic structure of the feudal colonial alliance and its inhuman/brutal form under the pretext of helplessness and inhumanity. President of the Rangmanch Theatre Group Vishal Pahari, Vikrant Verma, Ashfaq Shahzeeb, Shivani, Chandni & Faisal did the script reading.
Founder of the group Vishal Pahari congratulated the theatre lovers worldwide on this historical World Theatre Day.
He promised that his team will leave no stone unturned in promoting the theatre & to spread the message of its relevance with life not only in Pir Panchal Region but also throughout the country.
World Theatre Day is observed on March 27 to honour the art and promote it across the world. It is marked to appreciate theatre and the artistes who strive to present theatre acts for the audience.
WTD was first celebrated by the International Theatre Institute (ITI), the world’s largest performing arts body, in 1961. Since then, the day is being marked by centres of ITI and other organisations on March 27.
