    RAJOURI, MARCH 11:–Block Medical Officer (BMO) Nowshera Block has constituted a three-member inquiry committee for the conduct of detailed enquiry related to unauthorised absence of employees of five health centers found locked during surprise visit on Sunday.
    It is pertinent to mention here that BMO, Dr Iqbal Malik on the directions of Director Health Services Jammu, Dr Rakesh Magotra paid surprise visit to various health institutions within the block and found 5 health centers locked during working hours (half a day) on Sunday.
    The health institutions found locked during unannounced inspection by BMO, Dr Iqbal Malik include Kheri-1, Kheri-2, Dandesar, Dabber Potha, and Sayal.
    Acting tough against the erring employees-who were on roaster duty Sunday & Gazetted Holidays- BMO, Dr Iqbal Malik vide his office order (N0.BMO/N/Adm/2023-24/4578-85 dt 10/3/2024) has already sought explanation from all the employees (of 5 health institutions) within five days for remaining absent unauthorisedly from their legitimate duties.
    BMO also withheld March month’s salaries of these employees & also directed to deduct two & half days’ salaries of all the employees.
    It is pertinent to mention here that the government provides two & half days salary to non-gazetted staff of the Health & Medical Education Department who perform additional duties on Sundays and holidays.
    The inquiry committee constituted by BMO Dr Iqbal Malik includes Dr Chander Parkash, Medical Officer (MO), Sub District Hospital Nowshera; Dr Sonia Sampal MO, PHC Langer; & Dr. Pawan Kumar, MO, PHC Lamberi.
    The committee was asked to submit its factual report along with definite remarks and recommendation to BMO’s office within 2 days for further course of action.
    Meanwhile, BMO vide his office orderExplanations (No.BMO/NS2023-24/4603-09 dt11/3/2024) has attached five employees of these centers in sub district hospital at Nowshera and shall also report in BMO’s office at 10 am on Tuesday.
    These employees were also directed to cooperate with the inquiry committee along with their reply of explanations.
    The employees found on unauthorised absence by the BMO include Dr Kunal Raina, MLHP (HWC-Kheri); Rita Devi, FMPHW (HWC Dabber Potha); Ajay Kumar, Junior Pharmacist (HWC Dandesar); Rajesh Dutta, MMPHW (HWC-Sayal; and Vinod Sudan, Jr Pharmacist (NT PHC-Kheri II).

    RAJOURI/NEW DELHI MAR 11:-India has joined the elite group of countries having MIRV capabilities when on Monday Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully conducted the first successful flight test of indigenously developed Agni-5 missile with Multiple Independently Targetable Re-Entry Vehicle (MIRV) technology.

    “The flight test named Mission Divyastra was carried out from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Island in Odisha. Various Telemetry and radar stations tracked and monitored multiple re-entry vehicles. The Mission accomplished the designed parameters,” said MoD.

    Mission Divyastra, a maiden test flight of the nuclear-capable Agni-V with the Multiple Independently Targetable Re-entry Vehicle (MIRV).

    MIRVs have revolutionised the concept of ballistic missile payloads by enabling a single missile to carry multiple nuclear warheads, each capable of striking different targets independently.

    In a post on X DRDO said: “Indigenously developed Agni-5 missile with Multiple Independently Targetable Re-Entry Vehicle (MIRV) technology successfully tested as part of Mission Divyastra today,”.

    While lauding the efforts of DRDO scientists involved in this complex Mission Divyastra Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a post on social media platform X said: “Proud of our DRDO scientists for Mission Divyastra, the first flight test of indigenously developed Agni-5 missile with Multiple Independently Targetable Re-entry Vehicle (MIRV) technology”.

    Raksha Mantri (Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has also congratulated the scientists and the entire team for this remarkable success.

    Agni-5 missile is having a range of 5000-7000 km and falls in long range category i.e. Intercontinental Continental Ballistic Missile (ICBM).

    RAJOURI, MARCH 11:–Team of SVEEP Cell Rajouri has launched a door to door awareness campaign to educate the Tribal community living in upper reaches of village Dodasan Bala about the importance of Vote in strengthening the democratic system.

    Conducted under the guidance and direction of District Election Officer Om Parkash Bhagat, the move aims to encourage the people in areas with majority of tribal population to participate in the voting process.

    The representative of the SVEEP team interacted with the people in the local language. The campaign concluded with the interactions with the visitors at the Shrine of Baba Jeevan Shah. The people of the area appreciated the initiative of the team.

    Ramadhan is more than just a month of fasting; it is a time of abundant blessings.     In a statement from the holy city of Qom, Waseem Reza Kashmiri, a young Islamic Seminary scholar of the Al-Mustafa(Pbuh) International University of Howza Elmia Qom stresses the divine nature of fasting as an obligation. He encourages believers to dedicate time to Quranic recitation, understanding its meanings, and using the month of Ramadhan as a golden opportunity to enhance both worldly and spiritual aspects of life.

    Quoting the teachings of Prophet Muhammad(S), Moulana Waseem Reza explains that Ramadhan is a month where divine blessings are abundant, and supplications are readily accepted. He motivates individuals to dedicate themselves to worship and goodness, seeking Allah’s satisfaction and preparing for forgiveness and mercy.

    The Seminary from Jammu and Kashmir sees Ramadhan as a transformative month, promoting virtues such as patience, generosity, and compassion. He urges a special focus on caring for orphans, strangers, and the poor, emphasizing the importance of good conduct and empathy for others.

    Beyond personal transformation, Moulana Waseem Reza Kashmiri issues a call to action. He urges Friday prayer leaders, congregational preachers, and speakers to actively combat rising crimes and drug abuse in Jammu and Kashmir. This, he believes, is crucial for the establishment of a transparent and peaceful society.

    The need for proactive social awareness campaigns, particularly against social ills and drug abuse. In his teachings, he calls upon religious leaders and preachers to recognize the shared responsibility of caring for the less fortunate, including the needy and orphans. This, he believes, is an integral part of our religious duty.

    RAJOURI MARCH 11:–Police in Nowshera sub division of Rajouri has nabbed an absconder who was wanted in a case but was evading his arrest.

    The absconder is identified as Mohammad Tazeem son of Mohammad Latif resident of Behrote Thanamandi.

    He was declared an absconder U/Ss 512 CrPC (Now 299 CrPC) on 20/10/2015 in case FIR No 228/2011 U/Ss 188 RPC & 3 PCA Act.

    A general warrant was also issued against the absconder by JMIC Nowshera.

    Police team headed by SHO Nowshera Sumit Magotra under the supervision of SDPO Nowshera Jaswant Singh arrested the absconder from National Highway NH144A Rajal by team of PS Nowshera and has been produced before the Hon’ble court.

    RAJOURI, MARCH 11:– Chairperson, Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board, Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi yesterday laid foundation stone for Jamia Masjid at Ziyarat Shahdara Sharief and Markazi Jamia Masjid here.

    After inauguration, the Chairperson addressed a mammoth gathering, during which she highlighted that J&K Waqf Board has now become a strong organization and developmental activities in all parts of J&K have been expanded on big scale. “During the past two years, infrastructure facilities at Shahdara Sharief have got a big boost”, Dr. Andrabi said.

    She added that in Rajouri district, Waqf Board has taken up many new projects out of Board resources and all projects will be completed within the stipulated time.

    The Chairperson expressed gratitude to people of J&K for their immense support to Board in making it more transparent and auditable. “The resources of the Board belong to public and assets have to be utilized as per the broader public requirements and needs”, she asserted.

    She added that the reformative steps taken by the Board have yielded great results and the process will continue.

    Earlier, the Chairperson also presided over Annual Day Celebrations of Himalayan Education Mission and Himalayan College at Rajouri and released their periodical. She also gave away Himalayan Mission Awards to the civil services persons for their exemplary contribution to the society.

    The Chairperson was accompanied by Secretary, Civil Aviation and Planning & Monitoring departments, Aijaz Assad and other senior officers.

    Later, the Chairperson chaired a meeting with officers of district administration to assess the facilities in place for the forthcoming Ramadan in the district.

    During the meeting, she issued instructions to officers to ensure that all required facilities are provided during Ramadan Festival for the residents of the district.

    The chairperson, during the meeting, discussed vital issues like ensuring uninterrupted access to water supply across all Jamia Masjids and shrines and facilitating devotees without any inconvenience.

    The chairperson directed concerned authorities to maintain optimal water supply throughout the district. She also asked officers of PDD to ensure proper power supply during the festive period.

    Furthermore, the Chairperson reiterated the vital importance of infrastructure maintenance, stressing the urgent need for proper repairing and functionality of street lights to enhance safety and accessibility for devotees during night time congregations.

    Dr. Andrabi, on the occasion also addressed pertinent concerns regarding transportation infrastructure, highlighting the pressing need for the blacktopping of road notably from Thanamandi to Shadra Sharif for smooth facilitation of devotees.

    The Chairperson, during the meeting, also underscored the critical role of healthcare accessibility during the festive period, instructing the Chief Medical Officer to ensure the availability of essential medical services to cater to the health needs of devotees and residents alike.

    Dr. Andrabi also asked the Assistant Director of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Department to intensify market inspections to curb instances of overpricing, profiteering, and black-marketing, thereby safeguarding the interests of consumers and fostering a climate of transparency and accountability.

    Dr. Andrabi during the meeting, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to promoting pilgrimage tourism in the district, underscoring its potential to not only enrich the local economy but also foster interfaith harmony and cultural exchange.
