Dar expressed a sense of hope and anticipation among the people, especially regarding the potential for furthermore development initiatives in the region. He stressed the pressing need to address issues like unemployment, emphasizing the importance of creating more private industries to provide job opportunities for the local populace.

    Furthermore, Altaf Dar highlighted the significance of supporting key sectors such as horticulture and agriculture, which play a vital role in the economy of Kashmir. He emphasized the necessity of government assistance to alleviate the concerns of farmers and facilitate the growth of these sectors.

    In addition to economic concerns, Altaf Dar underscored the importance of reinforcing the industry sector in Kashmir. He called for leveraging policies like the Public Procurement Policy to provide a boost to local industries and generate employment opportunities for the youth.

    Mohammad Altaf Dar echoed the sentiments of many in Kashmir who are hopeful for specialist packages or initiatives from the Prime Minister during his visit. He emphasized the importance of support for traders and overall development of Jammu & Kashmir, referring to the region as the crown of India.

    With regards to specific issues facing businesses in Kashmir, Dar highlighted the need for measures to improve the ease of doing business. He also called fory attention to the power scenario in the region, which has been a significant hindrance to business operations.

    RAJOURI, MARCH 06: -Demonstrating a proactive and community-centric approach to address public concerns, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat today chaired a public outreach camp/weekly Block Diwas at Laroka Panchayat of border block Qila Darhal.

    This event facilitated a constructive dialogue where both the public and their representatives discussed a wide range of urgent issues, including; the pressing need for road repairs, the upgradation and availability of adequate staff in government institutions, water scarcity, and enhancing the healthcare infrastructure.

    Specific issues which were highlighted during the event were repairing the transformer at Laroka, construction of boundary wall for HS Laroka and HSS Lam, repair of old hand pumps, repair of road from Laroka to Kansar, construction of road from Tej Bahadur to Jabbar Mohalla, demand of receiving station, sanctioning a KV school at Qila Darhal etc.

    The Deputy Commissioner reaffirmed the commitment of the district administration to provide quality essential services to the people. He expressed gratitude for the collaborated efforts of all stakeholders in achieving the set targets of key central schemes and encouraged them to continue their hard work for the welfare of the public.

    Furthermore, Deputy Commissioner Om Prakash Bhagat assured the public that their grievances and concerns have been carefully documented and would be addressed on top priority.

    The Deputy Commissioner reassured that piped water connections would be provided to every household in the district through the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM). He emphasised that the administration is relentlessly working towards making every possible effort to achieve this vital objective.

    He emphasized that a number of vital projects are under execution in the border block of Qila Darhal showcasing the unwavering dedication of the administration to the development and progress of this strategic region.

    Regarding the ongoing developmental projects, the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri directed the concerned officers to expedite progress and ensure timely completion. Recognizing the importance of the role these projects play in the growth of the region, he stressed the significance of efficient execution to bring tangible improvements to the community.

    Regarding curbing the menace of drug abuse from the district, he appealed to the public, emphasizing the importance of their support in collaboration with the administration to effectively combat the issue of drug abuse within the district.

    The Deputy Commissioner also actively sought feedback regarding the implementation of various governmental schemes in the area, displaying a strong commitment to ensuring the efficient execution of these programs for the benefit of the of public.

    RAJOURI, MARCH 06:–SSP traffic Rural Jammu, Vinay Kumar Khular today convened a darbar cum crime review meeting of traffic officers and officials at DPL conference hall Rajouri.

    All the challaning officers of Rajouri and Poonch attended the meeting. At the outset, the SSP hailed the officials for their good work in the past.

    While going into details of crime, he emphasized on ensuring hundred percent e-challaning and laying special focus on checking overloading, over-speeding, overcharging ,drunken driving and visible violation of traffic rules including triple riding ,driving without helmet and without seat belt.

    He insisted that safety of passengers is must, for that purpose strict action on part of challaning officers is required.

    Apart from enforcement of rules, he asked for continuous efforts on spreading awareness among youth, students and their parents against underage driving and carrying stunts on roads and putting their lives in danger.

    Furthermore, he briefed that smooth regulations of traffic in towns is must to give quality service to people.

    After threadbare discussion on traffic issues with challaning officers, he opened up darbar and listened to the grievances of jawans patiently.

    The issues were noted and some were resolved on spot. He said apart from duties, welfare of every jawan is priority and the welfare issues will be taken for boasting moral of jawans. “But discipline shall be maintained at every cost with the right code of conduct during display of lawful duties. Strict action shall be taken against those who behave unhealthy in public” he added.

    Lastly instructions were given regarding smooth conduct of upcoming events and festivals including Mahashivratri and Ramzan.

    RAJOURI, MARCH 06:–Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Om Prakash Bhagat, accompanied by SSP Amrit Pal Singh, today undertook a comprehensive visit to several polling stations in subdivision Nowshera. The purpose of the visit was to assess and review the status of assured minimum facilities at these polling stations.

    The Deputy Commissioner, meticulously inspected 19 polling stations: Nowshera-A, Nowshera, Qila Darhal, Kalsian, Kalsian-A, Chowki Handan-B, Chowki Handan, Khamba, Laroka-B, Laroka-A, Khamba-A, Khamba-B, Bhawani-A, Lam, Lam-A, Laroka-C, Kampla, Bhawani and Bhawani-B. The scrutiny encompassed a thorough examination of various essential facilities for the smooth conduct of elections.

    During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner and SSP engaged with the stakeholders to ensure that all necessary arrangements were in place to facilitate a smooth and efficient voting process. The basic minimum amenities such as electricity, water supply, sanitation facilities, and accessibility for differently-abled voters was assessed at these polling stations.

    Expressing satisfaction with the overall preparedness observed during the visit, Deputy Commissioner Om Prakash Bhagat underscored the importance of ensuring that all polling stations adhere to prescribed standards of ECI to uphold the integrity and fairness of the electoral process. He reiterated the unwavering commitment of the administration to facilitating free, fair, and transparent elections, wherein every eligible citizen can exercise their democratic right with confidence and ease.

    The visit concluded with the instructions to the officers of concerned departments to put in place all efforts for smooth conduct of Lok Sabha Elections in the subdivision.

    RAJOURI MARCH 06:–In order to discuss issues of public importance and to strengthen the relationship between police and civil population, a police public interaction meeting referred to as PCPG meeting was organised that Rajouri city police post in main town Rajouri.

    Meeting was chaired by Additional SP Rajouri, Musadiq Basu who was accompanied by Deputy SP Headquarter Ashwani Sharma, SHO Rajouri Aejaz Ahmed and Incharge Police Post Rajouri PSI Sahil Choudhary.

    A number of civil society members from Rajouri town including former municipal councillors, social activists, political leaders, trade body leaders, transporters and shopkeeper attended the meeting wherein a number of issues are public importance for discussed with all the participants hailed the action of police against people involved in drug peddling and urged to continue the action with same spirit so that unlawful element involved in narcotics and drugs peddling is dealt strictly under the law of land.

    The participants of this meeting also put forth several other issues.

    The police officers attending the meeting assured the participants that all the issues discussed in this meeting will be taken on priority and with solution based approach.

    The police officers while appreciating the cooperation extended by civil society in action against drug peddlers and narcotics smugglers said that police in the district is working under a zero tolerance policy towards drugs and stringent action has been ensured against all the people involved in the crime.

    They further assured that the action will continue with same spirit and anyone found involved in this crime will have to face law of land.

    The Jammu Kashmir produce it on electricity but all the electricity have been supplied to Delhi and Punjab and we the people of Kashmir get electricity for just 8 to 9 hours a day but we are charged double and triple for the electricity that we get…

    RAJOURI MARCH 06:–To make Nowshera college students aware about new criminal laws, the Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri district organised an awareness programme at Nowshera degree college.

    The programme was chaired by Sub Divisional Police Officer Nowshera, DySP Jaswant Singh alongwith other police officers and Nowshera college staffers.

    The students who attended the programme were made aware about new criminal laws devised by union government that are
    Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA).

    Students were made aware about these new criminal laws and motive behind of introducing the same.
