JAMMU FEBRUARY 19:–Former IGP Nisar Ahmed Sincere thanks and strong sense of gratitude to the Central and UT of J&K BJP leadership for conceding the more than five decade old demand of Pahari Community for grant of ST status among others to the people of Pahari Ethnicity. It’s a dream come true for this poor and downtrodden community. A lot of politics on this issue deprived the people of this community of the avenues to progress and prosper like the similarly placed people of some other communities in the UT of J&K. Dropping the name of this community from the list of communities granted ST status in 1992 by the then Sh. Chander Shekhar Government supported by the Indian National Congress has pushed this community 32 years back as compared to their similarly positioned brethren of other communities.

The BJP leadership especially Hon’ble Prime Minister and Hon’ble Home Minister of India have fulfilled their commitment. This is now our turn to come up to their expectations. I know it fully well that the Pahari people will rise to the occasion.

They will whole heartedly support the BJP in the days to come as a thanks giving expression. Congratulations to each and every member of the Pahari Community. God bless you all! Narendra Modi Amit Shah Ravinder Raina Manoj Sinha and others..
