    SRINAGAR JANUARY 04:-The government on Thursday ordered a major reshuffle in administration by ordering transfer of 56 IAS and JKAS officers. Among the shifted include at least five Deputy Commissioners with Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat posted as DC Srinagar, according to a government order, a copy of which lies with GNS.

    RAJOURI, JANUARY 04-– In a significant stride towards optimizing the Ration distribution network, the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal chaired a pivotal meeting today.

    The objective of the meeting was to conduct the re-verification of distances, both by road and alternative means of transportation such as pony and headload, from food stores to the Fair Price Shops (FPS) and sale depots in the District Rajouri. The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the significance of accurate and up-to-date data to ensure the efficient functioning of the Department of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) in the district.

    Recognizing the varying nature of roads and transportation routes, the Deputy Commissioner issued directives to the different road agencies operating in the district to undertake the task of preparing and compiling ground-level data. To determine the actual distance between the government food stores and the Fair Price Shops, the road agencies have been instructed to deploy their field staff for on-site assessments. It is expected that this exercise will provide an accurate assessment of the revised distances, taking into account any changes that have occurred during the current year.

    The Deputy Commissioner vikas kundal further emphasized the importance of timely completion of this task and directed the road agencies to share the collected data with the concerned department within a matter of weeks. The objective is to streamline the distribution process and ensure that the Fair Price Shops are conveniently located and accessible to the citizens of Rajouri.

    It is worth noting that the road network in the district has witnessed significant transformations and modifications over the past year. These changes necessitate a thorough reassessment of the distances between the government food stores and the Fair Price Shops. By undertaking this reverification exercise, the District Administration aims to ensure that the data available to the FCS&CA department is accurate, reliable, and reflective of ground reality.

    This collaborative effort between the District Administration and the road agencies will undoubtedly contribute to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the distribution system, ensuring that essential food supplies reach the Fair Price Shops in a timely manner.

    This comprehensive exercise, undertaken by the road agencies, will ensure that the data available to the FCS&CA department accurately reflects the ground reality. The DC directed all stakeholders to actively cooperate in this endeavor, which will ultimately benefit the citizens of Rajouri by ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the Fair Price Shop system.

    Today, the VBSY IEC van traveled through the panchayats of Sakri, Panjnara, Hubbi, Swari Bagayalkote, Gunda, Gadyog Dalheri, Kotecharwal and Narla of Budhal Old and Khawas block of Rajouri district.

    RAJOURI, JANUARY 04:– Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal today conducted a comprehensive inspection of Government Medical College Rajouri, where he assessed the health care facilities and infrastructure. During the visit, he inspected the staff quarters and the Girls hostel block and addressed the major issues.

    One of the primary concerns was the need for the completion of the road leading to the girls hostel block. Recognizing the importance of safe and accessible transportation for the students, the Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal instructed the Executive Engineer of the PWD to initiate the necessary measures for its early completion.

    The Deputy Commissioner observed the need for proper drainage facilities in the girls hostel block. To address this issue, the Executive Engineer of the PWD informed the Deputy Commissioner that the Detailed Project Report (DPR) outlining the proposed drainage system had already been submitted to the concerned authorities.

    Another matter discussed during the visit was the construction of a boundary wall around the premises of the GMC Rajouri. Recognizing the significance of the boundary wall, the Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal directed the concerned authorities to undertake the construction of the boundary wall promptly. This measure aims to enhance the safety and well-being of the students, staff, and other individuals within the GMC premises.

    The DC highlighted the need to address the issue of shifting staff in the staff quarters. He directed the officers to ensure the provision of all necessary civic amenities to facilitate the smooth functioning of the quarters. This includes the provision of water supply and other essential services. The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of creating a conducive living environment for the staff, ensuring their well-being and productivity.

    Deputy Commissioner instructed the Executive Engineer of the Jal Shakti Department to identify suitable land for the water supply scheme for GMC Rajouri. This measure aims to alleviate water scarcity issues and ensure a sustainable water supply for the GMC Rajouri and its associated facilities.

    The Deputy Commissioner expressed his commitment in addressing these concerns, stressing the importance of providing a conducive and safe environment for the students and staff of GMC Rajouri. He directed all concerned officers to work together efficiently to resolve the identified issues promptly.

    SRINAGAR JANUARY 04:- A meeting of District Level Implementation Committee(DLIC) for implementation of PM Vishwakarma scheme launched to uplift traditional Artisans and Craftspeople was held today under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner(DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad here at Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex.

    Among others, the meeting was attended by General Manager DIC, Chief Planning Officer, Secretary SMC, Principal ITI Bagh-i-Dilawar Khan, Principal ITI Bemina, Lead District Manager, representatives of MSME, Nominee of MSDE, Domain Experts and other concerned Officers.

    At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner took a first hand appraisal about the progress made so far with regard to registration of Artisans(Vishwakarmas), verification process in both rural and urban areas, capacity building of stakeholders and monitoring & evaluation mechanism in place for Artisans(Vishwakarmas).

    On the occasion, the DC was informed that as of date as many as 3070 applications have been received on PM Vishwakarma Portal in the District for registration under Vishwakarma scheme and 21 Panchayats of Srinagar District have been on-boarded on the PM Vishwakarma Portal.

    After deliberating threadbare the strategy to be adopted for 2nd tier verification of applications received by District Level Implementation Committee(DLIC), the DC asked the Officers of line Departments to complete the verification process within 5 days to further speed up the process.

    The DC also reviewed the process being undertaken by Common Service Centres(CSCs) in ensuring smooth enrolment of beneficiaries under the scheme.

    On the occasion, the DC asked the Officers of all line Departments to be more practical in successful implementation of the scheme so that the target group is benefitted for their overall socio-economic development.

    Highlighting the features of PM Vishwakarma, the Deputy Commissioner said that the scheme will directly benefit thousands of Artisans and Craftsmen of the District working with their hands and tools, besides transforming the lives of the Artisans and Craftspeople contributing in preservation of traditional and heritage crafts.

    The DC further said the scheme will enable the recognition of Artisans and Craftspeople as Vishwakarmas(Traditional Artisans) making them eligible to avail the benefits under the Scheme.

    Pertinent to mention that PM Vishwakarma scheme offers a range of benefits including toolkit incentive of Rs 15,000, training to artisans, Rs 500 per day during training, collateral-free credit support up to Rs 1 lakh (first tranche) and Rs 2 lakh (second tranche) at a concessional interest rate of 5%, incentives for digital transactions and marketing support.

    It was also informed that initially Government has recognized more 18 trades under PM Vishwakarma including Carpenter, Boat Maker, Armorer, Blacksmith, Hammer and Tool Kit Maker, Locksmith, Goldsmith, Potter, Cobbler, Masons, Basket/Mat/Broom Maker/Coir Weaver, Doll & Toy Maker, Barber, Garland Maker, Washerman, Tailor and Fishing Net Maker.

    Earlier, the General Manager District Industries Centre, Srinagar shared an updated list of applicants registered online on PM Vishwakarma portal among the stakeholders, which is being updated on a daily basis.

He stated, “People in Jammu and Kashmir are deeply hurt due to this incident. They seek justice. The individuals responsible must face justice and receive severe punishment.”

    Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari also emphasised to the Home Minister that, while dealing with militancy and terrorism, security agencies must ensure that no civilian deaths or human rights violations occur. Civilian killings cannot and should not be tolerated.

    “On this, the Home Minister assured Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari that it would be ensured that no civilian deaths occur in the future, and those responsible for the recent deaths of three civilians will face the law of the land,” the statement said.

    Furthermore, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari brought the issue of the ongoing power crisis in J&K to the attention of the Home Minister and sought an additional supply of electricity to address pressing needs during the harsh winter days in Jammu and Kashmir. He said, “The people of Jammu and Kashmir are suffering due to the power shortage crisis in these harsh winter days. There is an urgent need for additional power supply to the UT so that pressing needs are fulfilled. I request you to use your influence to ensure an extra amount of power supply to Jammu and Kashmir.”
