    RAJOURI, JANUARY 02: –Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, today released Rs 26 lakh as education assistance to the 600 children of registered construction workers under J&K Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (JKBOCWWB).

    The Deputy Commissioner directed the Assistant Labour Commissioner to continue to work with unwavering dedication towards the betterment of workers associated with the construction sector.

    The JKBOCWWB is making concerted efforts to provide timely and highly effective support to the invaluable contributors to infrastructure development.

    The educational assistance not only recognizes the importance of construction workers but also serves as a beacon of hope for a brighter future for their children. By investing in their education, the government aims to empower the next generation and provide them with opportunities for growth and success.

    Assistant Labour Commissioner, Manisha Sharma and other officials of the Labour Department were present on the occasion.

    کئی دہائیوں کی جدوجہد کے بعد، جموں و کشمیر کے راجوری ضلع کے کنگوٹا گاؤں کے گھرانوں کو مرکزی حکومت کی ’جل جیون مشن‘ (جے جے ایم) اسکیم کے تحت پینے کا پانی ملے گا جس کی لاگت 6 کروڑ روپے سے زیادہ ہے۔

    سرپنچ گرام پنچایت کیول لوئر محمد فاروق انقلابی نے ڈپٹی سرپنچ لیاقت چودھری اور زید ساگر کے ساتھ مل کر پروجیکٹ پر کام کے دوسرے مرحلے کا آغاز کیا، جس کے رواں مالی سال کے دوران مکمل ہونے کی امید ہے، جس سے گاوں کنگوٹا کے لوگوں کے چہروں پر خوشی کی لہر دوڑ گئی۔

    مقامی سماجی کارکن نور محمد ٹنچ نے کہا، “ہم اپنے علاقے میں پانی کی قلت سے متعلق ہماری درخواستوں کو سننے اور JJM کے تحت پروجیکٹ کو منظور کرنے کے لیے سرپنچ فاروق انقلابی اور محکمہ جل شکتی کے شکر گزار ہیں۔”

    انہوں نے کہا کہ گاؤں والوں کو بہت سے مسائل کا سامنا کرنا پڑتا ہے، خاص طور پر سردیوں میں جب شدید برف باری ہوتی ہے، قریبی چشمے سے پانی لانے کے لیے۔
    کئی دہائیوں کے انتظار کے بعد، ہمارا خواب اور جدوجہد بالآخر پورا ہونے جا رہی ہے کیونکہ اس منصوبے پر کام شروع ہو چکا ہے،‘‘ نور محمد نے کہا۔

    عہدیداروں نے بتایا کہ 220 گھرانوں کو پانی کی فراہمی کی اسکیم کا ذریعہ گاؤں کے قریب چلنے والا ڈوڈیاڑی چشمہ ہے۔

    واٹر سپلائی سکیم کے مختلف اجزاء ہوں گے جن میں سول (انلیٹ ٹینک، سیڈیمنٹیشن ٹینک، سروس ریزروائرز، اور گریویٹی مین اور ڈسٹری بیوشن سسٹم کے لیے پائپ بچھانے اور فٹ کرنا شامل ہیں۔

    سرپنچ فاروق انقلابی نے اس باوقار پروجیکٹ پر کام شروع کرنے پر لوگوں کو مبارکباد دی اور کہا کہ انہیں باہر سے پانی لانے کے بوجھل کام سے نجات ملے گی۔

    فاروق انقلابی نے کہا کہ یہ عوام کا دیرینہ مطالبہ تھا جسے پورا کر دیا گیا ہے۔

    انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ “جے جے ایم کے تحت آنے والے دنوں میں گرام پنچایت کیول لوئر میں مزید پروجیکٹوں کا افتتاح کیا جائے گا۔

    BUDHAL/RAJOURI JAN 02:–After struggling for decades, households of Kangota village in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district will get potable water under the central government’s ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’ (JJM) scheme with a project cost of over Rs 6 crore.

    Sarpanch Gram Panchayat Kewal Lower Mohammad Farooq Inqlabi along with Deputy Sarpanch Layaqat Choudhary and Zaid Sagar kick started the second phase of work on the project, which is expected to be completed during the current financial year, bringing cheers on the faces of the people of Kangots village.

    “We are thankful to Sarpanch Farooq Inqlabi and Jal Shakti Department for listening to our pleas regarding water scarcity in our area and sanctioning the project under JJM,” local social activist Noor Mohammad Tanch said.

    He said the villagers had to face numerous problems, especially during the winter when there is heavy snowfall, to fetch water from a nearby spring.
    After waiting for decades, our dream and struggle is finally going to be fulfilled as work on this project has started,” Noor Mohammad said.

    Officials said the source of the water supply scheme to 220 households is Dudyari spring running near the village.

    The water supply scheme shall have different components including civil (inlet tank, sedimentation tanks, service reservoirs, and laying and fitting of pipes for gravity main and distribution system.

    Sarpanch Farooq Inqlabi congratulated the people for commencement of work on this prestigious project and said they will be relieved from the cumbersome work of fetching water from outside.

    Farooq Inqlabi said it was a long pending demand of the people, which has been addressed.

    “More projects under JJM will be inaugurated across Gram Panchayat Kewal Lower in coming days, he added.

    RAJOURI, JANUARY 02:– Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress of work on the power sector projects coming up in the district.

    The primary focus of this meeting was to evaluate the status of the power sector projects undertaken as part of the District capex budget, UT capex, DDC, BDC, PRI grants, TSP and SSY.

    It was informed that a total of 168 projects have been approved, with an impressive 38 projects already completed. These projects have been proposed to fortify the essential infrastructure, thereby ensuring uninterrupted power supply to the people of Rajouri.

    The review also highlighted the progress under the RDSS scheme of the PDD sector. It was mentioned that work on 16 feeders has commenced, and four of them are expected to be completed in one week. Position of buffer stock and revenue realisation was also discussed wherein the DC was apprised about the achievement in this regard.

    The meeting ended with a call to action for all officers involved in these projects, with a renewed commitment to ensuring that the people of Rajouri can soon enjoy a better quality of life, powered by reliable and uninterrupted electricity.

    The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Khurshid, SE PDD Rajouri; Sadiq Azad; EXEN PDD Rajouri, Mohd Rashid along with other concerned officers.

    Later, the DDC undertook a momentous site visit to the newly constructed 33/11 KV, 6.3 MVA Receiving Substation in Pathan Mohra (Dassal). The Strategic project, conceived to address overloading issues at the Kheora Receiving Substation, has unequivocally succeeded in enhancing the reliability of power supply to the public.

    The recently commissioned Pathan Mohra (Dassal) Receiving Substation stands as a testament to the commitment of the Government to ensuring a seamless and robust power infrastructure.

    The 33/11 KV, 6.3 MVA Receiving Substation in Pathan Mohra has been strategically positioned to alleviate the overloading concerns at the Kheora Receiving Substation. This move is poised to have a far-reaching impact on the efficiency and dependability of power supply in the district. The meticulous planning and execution of this project exemplify the proactive approach of the administration to addressing infrastructure challenges.

    During the site visit, the Deputy Commissioner and accompanying officials had the opportunity to observe firsthand facilities and technology incorporated into the newly constructed substation.

    The positive feedback received from the residents of the district underscores the immediate impact of the commissioning of the Pathan Mohra Receiving Substation. Improved power supply reliability has resulted in enhanced quality of life for the community, fostering a positive environment for economic activities and daily life.

    Among others who accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during his visit were Superintending Engineer JPDCL Circle Rajouri Er. Sadiq Azad, Executive Engineer ED-Rajouri Er. Mohd Rashid, and Executive Engineer Project Wing (Division Rajouri) Er. R. K. Dabgotra.

    RAJOURI JANUARY 02:–In a significant step towards fostering economic development and empowering local communities, Rashtriya Rifles inaugurated a state of art milk factory in the remote border village of Pukharni. This initiative executed under Op Sadbhavana underlines Indian Army’s commitment towards empowering the inhabitants towards self-dependence and socio-economic development.
    The milk factory which was inaugurated by the resident women of Pukharni is a concrete step towards harnessing the potential of resident dairy farmers and provide a local avenue for regions’ dairy farmers to sell their milk produce thus reducing dependence on Naushera and Rajouri. Women empowerment is one of the noteworthy aspects of establishment of Pukharni Milk Factory wherein this establishment will provide jobs to over 20 local women. Besides serving as a powerful tool for social transformation, with actively involving women in dairy production chain, Indian Army aims to enhance their economic independence and social standing giving way for a more inclusive and progressive society.
    The focus of this project is not just economic development but also engaging Gujjar and Bakkarwal community of the region wherein the Indian Army has collaborated with Gujjar community to comprehend the intricacies of dairy farming in the challenging terrain of Pukharni. The synergy between the military and resident population is a testament to the effectiveness of operation Sadbhavana in fostering understanding and cooperation.
    The inauguration ceremony was attended by BDO of Quila Dharal, Social activist for Gowseva Mr Md Faiz Khan, Sarpanchs, Panchs, Assistant Registrars, Lambardar and other civil officials who promised their full support to take this initiative even more further and aid in its development in future.
