    RAJOURI DECEMBER 07;–The Unani Wing of AYUSH Department, Associated Hospital Government Medical College (AH GMC) Rajouri on Thursday started Hijama (Cupping therapy).
    The procedure is being carried out by Dr. Mehbooba Parveen, Medical Officer Unani Medicine, Department of AYUSH on a regular basis in the department.
    Hijama comes from the original Arabic word ‘Al-Hajm’, which means ‘to restore to original size’ or diminish in volume and ‘to suck’.
    In Hijama blood is sucked after applying cups to specific areas of the body.
    Paraceisus (1493-1542) said: “When nature brings pain it means that harmful materials have accumulated and if nature is not able to empty them3e the physician must make an artificial opening to spread the heali mn iz xag If there is excess it 3 removed’.gyyv
    Hijama starts with the procedure of dry cupping after appearance of- congestion at the site of dry cupping multiple small scratches or umma incisions are made with lancet.
    Then blood is sucked after applying cups to the incised area. The pressure difference extracts blood from the Hijama site.
    In traditional medicine, Hijama therapy balances the body’s humours, improves blood circulation, and strengthens the immune system.
    Traditionally, Hijama treats various health conditions, including musculoskeletal pain, respiratory problems, digestive disorders, and skin problems.
    Cupping therapy is a form of pseudoscience in which a local suction is created on the skin with the application of heated cups.
    Cupping therapy might encourage whole body comfort and relaxation, increase your pain threshold, reduce information, enhance blood circulation, remove toxins from your body, reduce cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein .
    Hijama therapy helps prevent cardiovascular diseases like atherosclerosis, helps deep tissue massage, helps relaxation .
    The cups may be made of: Glass, Bamboo, Earthenware silicon,Cupping therapy might be trendy now, but it is not new. It dates to ancient Egyptians, Chinese and Middle Eastern cultures.

    =370 individuals benefited from diverse health services free of cost: BMO Dr. Iqbal

    RAJOURI/NOWSHERA DEC 07:–As a part of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna (AB-PMJAY) Sehat Scheme, a successful Health Mela was organized on Thursday under the Ayushman Bhava campaign at the Sub District Hospital in Nowshera in Rajouri district.
    The event was orchestrated under the guidance of esteemed figures in the healthcare sector, including, Director Health Services Jammu, Dr. Rajeev Sharma Jammu; Additional DC Nowshera, Kartar Singh; and BMO Nowshera, Dr. Iqbal Malik.
    The ‘Ayushman Bhav’ initiative aims to saturate all healthcare services in every village/town, aligning with the commitment of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi to ensure reach to the last mile and enable access to healthcare services for everyone in society.
    The Ayushman Bhava campaign started in September 2023 and will continue until December 31, 2023.
    A commendable total of 370 individuals benefited from the diverse health services offered during the Mela. The health Mela witnessed enthusiastic participation from residents of Nowshera Block and notable personalities who availed themselves of a diverse array of health services,” said Dr. Iqbal Malik.
    It is worth noting that all services were rendered free of charge, underscoring the organizers’ commitment to the community’s well-being.
    The team of dedicated medical professionals who provided services in the Mela included Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Dr. Vikram Mahajan, Dr. Rahul Sharma, Dr. Chander Parkash, Dr. Amit Kumar, Dr. Balvinder Singh, Dr. Bilal, Dr. Akram Rashid, Dr. Jyoti Rao, Dr. Shivangi, Dr. Muzahir, and other esteemed staff members, alongside ASHA workers.
    Block Medical Officer Nowshera, Dr. Iqbal Malik, conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to all organizers, volunteers, and participants for their collective efforts in making the Ayushman Health Mela an unequivocal triumph.

    RAJOURI DECEMBER 07:–Police authorities in Rajouri booked a hardcore criminal under Public Safety Act (PSA) after order was issued by the competent authority.

    In an official statement, police informed that hardcore criminal namely Imran Ali son of Sahadat Ali resident of Ward No 10, Naban mohala Rajouri has been detained under Public Safety Act.

    The hardcore criminal is involved in a number of criminal cases that include attempt to murder, assault on public servants and many other unlawful acts.

    Police said that he was also a declared absconder by the Hon’ble court with many FIRs are registered against him that include
    FIR No 516/23 U/Ss 307/353/332/147/336/504/506 IPC 4/25 Arms Act (Under Investigation), 480/16 U/Ss 279/337 RPC (Challaned on 22/11/23), 684/19 U/Ss 353/224 IPC (Challaned U/S 512 CrPC), 536/19 U/Ss 307/452/336/323/147/148/149 RPC (Under Investigation) and 513/23 U/Ss 354-D/506 IPC (Under Investigation).

    A dossier for his detention was prepared and submitted before the competent authority by police after which he has been detained following order issued by Magistrate.

    RAJOURI, DECEMBER 07-— Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, today provided Rs 60 lakh as education assistance to the children of registered construction workers under J&K Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (JKBOCWWB).

    The government has taken several proactive measures to enhance the welfare of buildings and other Construction workers. These initiatives have been meticulously designed with the primary aim of not only regulating their employment and working conditions but also ensuring the safety, health, and overall well-being of the registered workers.

    The Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal directed the Assistant Labour Commissioner to continue unwavering dedication towards the betterment of workers within the construction sector.
