    RAJOURI DECEMBER 06:-‘A student of BGSBU was killed while 25 others, including 18 minor students were injured in a tragic road mishap at Thandikassi under Rajouri police station on Jammu-Poonch highway in the morning on Wednesday.
    Among 18 minor students, 11 are girl students at different schools in Rajouri town and were on their way to Rajouri in a minibus, bearing registration No. JK11A 3415, which was on its way to Rajouri from Manjakot town.
    Eyewitness said that the mishap took place when the driver of the minibus tried to save head on collision with two rashly driven cars coming from opposite (Rajouri) side.
    After hitting one of the cars on driver side, the minibus turn turtle on the road resulting in injuries to students/passengers and a student, identified as Mohd Wasim (21 yrs) s/o Mohd Ashfaq of Naili village who was standing at the rear door, died on the spot.
    Immediately after the accident, inhabitants of the area rushed to the spot and shifted many injured to Associated hospital Government Medical College (AH GMC) in private vehicles.
    On getting information of the accident from the Deputy Commissioner, ambulances were rushed to the accident site and all the necessary arrangements, including deployment of doctors, Paramedical staff were made for the treatment of the injured” said Medical Superintendent AH GMC, Dr Mehmood Hussain Bajar.
    He added, twenty-six injured were brought to AH GMC, including one declared dead by doctors, and a dedicated medical team worked tirelessly to assess and address their conditions.
    All the injured are out of danger and few among them with minor injuries have been discharged after treatment.
    Taking cognisance of the mishap the police have started further investigation.
    Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal visited AH GMC to inquire about the condition of the injured and to assess the treatment being provided to them.
    While interacting with the injured Vikas Kundal assured best treatment and adequate assistance from the district administration.
    The Dc directed the medical team to provide the injured with the most comprehensive and effective treatment, minimizing the risk of complications and ensuring a smoother path to recovery.
    Medical Superintendent District Hospital, Dr. Mehmood Bajar and officials of the Health Department accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during his visit.
    The injured have been identified as Alshaba Sadiq (18 yrs); Sultana Mirza (17), Mehvish Kouser(17), Shazia Kouser (15), Sonia (17), Tahira Kouser (17), Tiaba Kouser (17), Sadia Riaz (15), Shagufta Kouser (14), Halima Sadia (16), Sonia Kouser (16), Mohd Irfan (18), Abrar Aziz (14),Hassan Raza (13), Danish Chowdhary (22), Mohd Faizan (23), Ibrar Ahmed (17), Hamza Shabir (17), all students and Shanawaz Ahmed (30), Shammim Akhter(30), Mohd Arif (30), Manoj Kumar (28), Shanaz Akhter (25), Mohd Younus (50), and Raj Kumar (49), all passengers.

    RAJOURI DECEMBER 06:–Health & Family Welfare Block Nowshera will hold a Health Mela at Sub District Hospital (Nowshera) on Thursday under Ayushman Bhava Campaign-2023 as part of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) SEHAT scheme.
    Block Medical Officer (BMO) Nowshera, Dr. Iqbal Malik informed that in this Health Mela all the services, including health checkup and screening, being provided will be free of cost and requested all the patients and beneficiaries of Nowshera Block to avail these facilities.
    According to an order issued by the BMO in connection with the organisation of Health Mela, Dr. Chander Parkash, Medical Officer, SDH Nowshera shall personally supervise the health Mela & will also inform the people for availing free of cost services under the said program.
    The doctors who will be available in the health Mela include Consultant Dr. I P Singh Gynaecologist (Gyane OPD); Consultant Dr. Rajesh Bhagat (General Medicines OPD); Dr. Balvinder Singh & Dr. Bilal Ahmed, MS Surgery (Surgery OPD; Radiologist, Dr. Chander Parkash (Ultrasound OPD); Dr. Rahul Sharma, MS Ortho (Ortho OPD; Dr. Anil Kumar (Paediatric OPD); Dr. Akram Ul Rashid, MS ENT ( ENT OPD); and Dental Staff (Dental OPD).
    BMO, Dr. Iqbal Malik also instructed all the employees of SDH Nowshera to ensure their availability in their respective sections with proper dress code and provide the services to the patients/beneficiaries free of cost.

    RAJOURI DECEMBER 06::–Security Forces on Wednesday recovered arms, ammunition, incriminating material and other material during an operation in Behrote area of Budhal in Rajouri with two terror associates have been arrested for their terror links.

    Mentionable that an encounter took place on Nov 17 at Behrote Gali area of Budhal police station jurisdiction in Rajouri district in which one terrorist was eliminated by forces and an instant case was registered on this with investigation was set into motion.

    During investigation some vital leads were developed and two locals were detained for questioning.

    During their questioning, their terror links got established and it came to fore that they are actively working for terrorists after which they have been arrested.

    The two person have been identified as Mohd Nazir (58) son of Mohd Din resident of Behrote Budhal and Farooq Ahmed (42) son of Mohd Lateef resident of Guller Budhal.

    On their disclosure, J&K Police of District Rajouri, 33 RR & 237 Bn CRPF launched an operation and made recovery of arms, ammunition and incriminating material from Behrote Nallah in Budhal.

    The recovery include 01 pistol, 02 pistol magazines, 28 pistol bullets, 02 grenades, 01 bag, 01 uniform camouflage, 01 plastic belt, 01 polysheet (Tarpal), 01 knee cap, 07 bandages, 01 hot strip (Garam patti), 01 syringe, 01 underwear, 01 electric tester, 01 Cipladine ointment.

    Further investigation into the matter is going on.
