    POONCH SEPTEMBER 19:–District Youth Services and Sports Officer Poonch Mohd Qasim declared open the Inter District divison level competitions at sports stadium Poonch. Beside on the opening ceremony guest of honour was Principal BHSS Poonch.

    Competitions conducting in the disciplines of Volleyball under 17 years Boys and under 17 years Boys Hockey.

    This sporting extravaganza is being organized under the patronage of Director Youth Services and Sports, Subhash Chandra Chibber,(JKAS) Deputy Director Central YS&S Jitender Mishra (JKAS) and the able guided by JD-YSS Jammu, Suram Chand Sharma (JKAS). Moreover overall supervision of the event falls under the purview of DYSSO Poonch , Mohd Qasim.

    All the ten District of Jammu divison are participating in under 17 years boys volleyball and 4 district are participating in under 17 years boys hockey.

    In opening match of volleyball District Ramban defeated District Samba by 3-1 sets where in Hockey under 17 years Boys District Jammu defeated District Kathua by 5-3 goals.

    Zonal physical education officers , PEM, PET,REK,NYC, Groundman , Prominent citizens and veteran sports person,s were also Present on the occasion.vijay kumar PEM conducted the opening ceremony as an anchor.
    The participants and sports staff appreciated the youth services and sports unit Poonch for providing excellent mess and stay management.

    RAJOURI SEPTEMBER 19 :- The menace of overloading has become a serious problem in Budhal Kotranka of Rajouri district as no strict action has been taken against the rule violators under the nose of the concerned department and authorities. Locals said that overloading in minibuses Tempo Automagic are commonly seen on major roads in Budhal Kotranka as local drivers are flouting traffic rules and carrying passengers beyond capacity.
    A tempo is going from Samote to Targain while some students are seen hanging on the back of the tempo openly inviting major mishaps. Traffic police make tall claims of fighting the scourge of overloading in Budhal Kotranka of Rajouri district, but the claims are only on paper as overloading of minibuses Tempo Automagic and other passenger vehicles is becoming commonplace. The traffic police has completely failed to stop such cases seriously.

    The failure of the concerned department shows that overloading continues in Budhal Kotranka Khawas, including the link roads of many villages in the areas .

Overloading has become a common sight among drivers of automagic and minibuses on Kotranka Budhal roads.Although the authorities claim to be taking necessary measures to control overloading, it still continues unabated on several roads along Kotranka-Budhal. It goes from properties to coats. Many Automagic driver from Budhal to Kundherdan are heavily packed with passengers hanging outside and behind. Peoples from different areas of Budhal Kotarnka Khawas said that they face severe problems due to overloading. This is proving to be a nightmare. Apart from putting passengers in serious trouble, it also threatens peoples lives. Overloading has become a main problem in Budhal Kotranka.

    Local peoples are surprised that the concerned authorities are not taking any  action against traffic rules violators . Every one has to think ten times before boarding an overloaded vehicle but there is no other option.

    Failed to curb this scourge, the traffic authorities give a free hand to Automagic and minibuses drivers who continue to flout rules and regulations thus endangering thousands of lives in the Kotranka Budhal areas of Rajouri district.

    Every year hundreds of travelers lose their precious lives. Budhal Kotranka has been known for fatal accidents in the past due to accidents caused by overloading of passenger vehicles. Hundreds of passengers have been killed and thousands injured over the past few years. The traffic police have failed miserably to take effective measures to prevent overloading at Budhal Kotranka. The locals have appealed to the top traffic authorities to look into the matter and direct the concerned  authorities to curb the menace of overloading as a little carelessness can prove disastrous.

    RAJOURI, SEPTEMBER 19:–In a significant development for the region, Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal has taken a decisive action to eliminate a major bottleneck on the crucial Rajouri-Thanamandi-Surankote Road at Atti.

    The initiative was taken to enhance connectivity and streamline traffic flow on this vital road, which serves as a lifeline for the Pir Panjal region, connecting the border district of Rajouri to the historic Mughal Road, maintained by the Border Roads Organization (BRO).

    The Rajouri-Thanamandi-Surankote Road is not just a transportation corridor but also the shortest route to the scenic Kashmir Valley. This road intersects with the historical Mughal Road at Bafliaz in Poonch district. It serves as a pivotal conduit for hundreds of tourists, passenger vehicles, and trucks traveling to and from the Kashmir Valley, linking Jammu and various parts of the country.

    Recognizing the importance of this road in facilitating the movement of people and goods, the Deputy Commissioner took immediate action. Following his directives, a comprehensive assessment was carried out, including peg marking and the commencement of earth-cutting work in alignment with the road’s expansion plan.

    The ongoing project aims to transform the existing road into a two-lane thoroughfare, effectively alleviating traffic congestion and substantially reducing travel time for commuters. This upgrade is poised to enhance the region’s connectivity, fostering economic growth, tourism, and greater ease of travel for all.

    The proactive stance of the Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal and the dedicated efforts of the concerned authorities demonstrate a commitment to enhance the infrastructure crucial for the development and prosperity of the region.     RAJOURI, SEPTEMBER 19:– To expedite progress and elevate the quality of rural development in Rajouri, the District Development Commissioner, Vikas Kundal today led a thorough review of the Rural Development Department (RDD) sector within the district.

    The DDC thoroughly evaluated the advances maded in under different developmental initiatives. These encompassed a wide spectrum of projects, including those funded through the district capex budget, PRI, BDC, DDC grants, as well as schemes such as PMAY and Awas Plus, among others.

    The main focus during was on the progress and in tendering and allotment processes. It was noted that nearly all projects have progressed to the tendering stage, and Deputy Commissioner Kundal issued strict directives to all Block Development Officers (BDOs) for the timely execution of works on-site. Additionally, instructions were conveyed to the Executive Engineer, Rural Engineering Wing (XEN REW), to improve the allotment status of various works within the capex budget.

    Deputy Commissioner reiterated the unwavering commitment of the Government to the holistic development of Rajouri. He called upon all stakeholders to wholeheartedly collaborate, highlighting that united efforts are the cornerstone of achieving shared aspirations. The Government’s relentless pursuit of providing enhanced infrastructure and facilities to the public remains steadfast.
