    DODA SEPTEMBER 05 :– On the eve- of Teachers day one news item viral in social media as @Voice of Udhyanpur a Facebook page that Higher Secondary School Bharath, which is located in a remote area of ​​Doda district, where about 300 children are currently studying, has been facing a shortage of teachers because of transfer drive. There were 4 dedicated lecturers running medical, non-medical and arts stream but unfortunately two of them are transferred without any replacement. This move has caused more harm to children than has already been done. In this regard, Voice of Udhyanpur received many calls from parents who expressed their disappointment on transferring the local staff. The parents are worried for their wards, especially girls as most of them belong to poor families. Parents are ready to take to the streets for this genuine issue. LG J&K, DC Doda and CEO Doda are requested to stop the transfer of local teachers for the time being until the vacancies in Higher Secondary Bharath are filled. It is pertinent to mention here that all the posts of master grade are vacant in this higher secondary school

    RAJOURI, SEPTEMBER 05:– Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal today addressed critical issues hampering the progress of various developmental projects across the district here at a meeting of stakeholder departments. He also conducted a comprehensive review of progress of work on Rajouri-Thanamandi-Surankote road project in a separate meeting.

    The meeting emphasized the importance of overcoming obstacles related to forest clearance, land compensation, and other bottlenecks affecting these vital initiatives.

    In his opening remarks, DC Vikas Kundal underlined the paramount significance of adhering to environmentally responsible development practices, especially concerning forest clearance. He stressed the need for collaborative efforts among stakeholders to ensure minimal ecological impact during the execution of these projects.

    Meanwhile, the District Development Commissioner reviewed the progress of construction work on the Rajouri-Thanamandi-Surankote road project. The assessment took place during a pivotal meeting held with key stakeholders including DDC Member Thannamandi Qayoom Mir; DDC Member Sain, Abdul Rasheed; OC BRO 58 RCC, Major Manju Nath; ACR, Imran Rashid Kataria; AC Defence, Saleem Qureshi; SDM Thanamandi shafiq mir; DMO Naseeb choudary and Tehsildars, demonstrating a concerted effort towards the project’s success.

    The 33 kilometer Rajouri-Thanamandi-Surankote road project is being upgraded, with 18 kilometers already blacktopped and the wet mix macadamization phase successfully completed on 25 kilometers.

    The Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal, underscored the paramount importance of adhering to prescribed construction specifications to ensure the longevity and utility of the road. He further issued a directive to the pertinent departments to expedite the ongoing construction work while upholding the highest quality standards.
