    RAJOURI, AUGUST 14 :– In a proactive move to ensure the safety and security of the people, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal conducted an extensive inspection of the rivers and Nallahs in the region and assessed the flood control measures in view of the rainy season.

    The inspection, which was aimed at reviewing the flood control measures at the vulnerable places, was conducted to get a detailed assessment of the situation.

    Accompanied by a team of experts, including ADC Rajiv Khajuria, ACR Imran Kataria, the DC thoroughly examined different water bodies in the area and the protective measures put in place to mitigate the impact of flash floods.

    Speaking about the importance of the inspection, the DC Vikas Kundal said, “We are committed to ensure the safety of the citizens, especially during the monsoon season when the risk of flooding is high. By conducting this inspection, we are taking proactive steps to identify any potential vulnerability in the flood control measures and address the same before they become a problem.”

    The inspection was part of a larger effort by the district administration to strengthen the region’s flood resilience and ensure that all necessary steps are taken to prevent any loss of life or property in the event of a flood. With the monsoon season in full swing, the administration is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the people of Rajouri are safe and secure.

    The inspection proved to be highly successful and the district administration is confident that the measures put in place will be effective in mitigating the impact of any potential floods.

    SRINAGAR, AUGUST 14 (KNO): The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has revised and changed syllabi of Statistics, Information Practices, Electronics and Computer Science subjects from the ongoing academic session for 11th standard.

    In this regard, JKBOSE has notified and issued a communique for the information of all the candidates of classes 11th and 12th in particular and other stake holders in general.

    According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), BOSE said, “The syllabi and courses of studies for Higher Secondary part-1 of the subjects that is Statistics, Information Practices, Electronics and Computer Science have been revised and changed from the current Academic Session 2023-2024.”

    It also said that the rationalized syllabi on the analogy of NCERT has been already notified of classes 11th and 12th.

    The subjects include General English, History, Economics, Geography, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Business Studies and Accountancy along with the revised scheme of assessment.

    The Board further said that for rest of the subjects of classes 11th and 12th, the syllabi shall remain unchanged.

    “Accordingly, the Question papers for Annual Regular examination shall be set as per new scheme of assessment and syllabi scheduled to be held in the month of March-April, 2024,” reads the communique—(KNO)

    RAJOURI AUGUST 14:–Amritpal Singh (IPS), Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri, has extended his warm greetings to all the countrymen on Independence Day.

    In his message, SSP Rajouri said that Independence Day observed on August 15 every year is not only an occasion and a national festival to remember our freedom fighters but is also a day to revive our fundamental duties and responsibilities towards nation.

    He said that in border district Rajouri, Independence Day is observed with patriotic zeal and people from all walks of life share same stage to celebrate the occasion.

    SSP Rajouri Amritpal Singh (IPS) further asked people to be an active member in different initiatives like Meri Maati Mera Desh which have been rolled in on national festivals like Independence Day.

     RAJOURI AUGUST 14:–Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri district have solved two cases of thefts recovering stolen property from accused.

    The cases include theft from a religious place and theft from a vehicle.

    Police said that working on cases of thefts, police detained a man suspicious in nature who on investigation confessed for his involvement in theft incident at Ziyarat Shareef Phalni under jurisdiction of police station Budhal in which a case FIR No 86/2023 U/Ss 457/380 IPC registered at Police Station Budhal.

    On his disclosure, police team recovered amount 61840.00 rupees from his possession.

    In another case, police said, a complaint was lodged on 09th August wherein complainant stated that he is working as a supervisor on Koteranka Khawas road and on 08th August driver of dumper truck bearing registration number JK20B 8360 parked his vehicle at Khussali Morh, Badhal and on next day the driver found that two batteries costing around 25000 rupees are missing.

    On this a case FIR No.83/2023 U/S 379 IPC was registered at Police station Kandi.

    During course of investigation, one suspect namely Shoket Ali son of Mohd Shabir resident of Jaglanoo Kotranka was detained and on his disclosure the stolen property was recovered.

    Both these cases have been solved by police team headed by SHO Kandi Shakil Manhas.

    RAJOURI AUGUST 14:–Under the ongoing Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign , district Police Rajouri organised an interaction with martyr families of the district.

    At the onset, SSP Rajouri Amritpal Singh (IPS) saluted the supreme sacrifice of martyrs and also listened to the grievances of martyr families.

    The families were assured that their genuine grievances shall be addressed immediately.

    The families were also felicicated with token gifts.

    Addressin the meeting, SSP Rajouri Amritpal Singh (IPS) said that families of Jammu and Kashmir police martyrs are member of Police Parivaar and Jammu and Kashmir police has a long history of sacrifices for motherland.

    SSP Rajouri further said that Rajouri police is always committed for welfare of police martyr families and Police Parivaar has always taken care of all the grievances and issues of police martyr families.
