    DC Rajouri discusses implementation of ‘World’s largest cooperative grain

    RAJOURI, JULY 16:–Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal on Saturday chaired a meeting of the concerned officers/officials to discuss the implementation of ‘World’s largest grain storage plan in the cooperative sector’ in the district.

    In the month of May 2023, the Union Cabinet granted its approval for the establishment of the ‘World’s largest grain storage plan in the cooperative sector’ with a budget of approximately Rs 1 lakh crore with an aim to enhance food security, prevent crop damage, and alleviate distress sales by farmers.

    In order to ensure time-bound and uniform implementation of the Plan in a professional manner, Ministry of Cooperation will implement a pilot project in at least 10 selected districts of different States/ UTs in the country.

    “‘World’s largest grain storage plan in the cooperative sector’ is an ambitious project that aims to revolutionize the agriculture sector and revive the cooperative movement to empower farmers and promote inclusive growth,” said Vikas Kundal.

    He highlighted that the project would not only provide better storage facilities for grains, but would also help in reducing post-harvest losses, enhance farmers’ income and boost agricultural productivity.

    “The project aims to establish a dependable grain storage facility. The facility will be managed by the cooperative societies, with the support of the district administration and other stakeholders & is expected to benefit a number of farmers in the region,” he added.

    It will also play a crucial role in ensuring food security and reducing wastage in the agriculture sector. DC Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, expressed his gratitude towards all the stakeholders for their active participation and contribution towards the project.

    “The district administration would extend all possible support to make the project a success & would also work towards the speedy implementation of the project in making it a shining example of the power of the cooperative movement in promoting sustainable development,” said Vikas Kundal..
    In addition to the cooperative-led grain storage plan, DC Rajouri directed the department functionaries to put in dedicated efforts to achieve the assigned targets within set deadlines and strengthen the cooperative movement in the district.

    Officers present in the meeting include Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Khurshid; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Imran Rashid Kataria; Chief Agriculture Officer, Sohan Singh; District Informatics Officer, Muzaffar Mir; Assistant Registrar (HQ), Mohammad Nasir, AR Budhal, Aman Dutta; AR Nowshera, Puneet Sharma, and AR Sunderbani, Antar Singh.

    RAJOURI, JULY 16,:–Block Medical Officer (BMO) Noeshera, Dr. Iqbal Malik has sought an explanation from two female doctors for skipping two days training of State Level Management Development Program for doctors, nursing, & other healthcare professionals at Government Medical College (GMC) in Udhampur on Jul 12 & 13.
    Both the doctors, namely Jyoti Rao (Medical Officer SDH, Nowshera), and Sonia Sampal (MO, PHC Langer) were directed by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Rajouri, Dr. Rajinder Kumar, vide his office order No. CMO/R/Est-3/2023-24/2749-50 dt 8-7-2023, to attend the training.
    According to BMO’s show cause notice (explanation), BMO/NSR/2023-24/1540-44 & 1535-39, Dr. Jyoti Rao unauthorised skipped the training program on both the days while Dr. Sonia skipped the training on July 13.
    “The higher authorities have taken very serious note about showing non-serious attitude & indiscipline about the profession, there is a big loss to the host organisation besides blocking the learning opportunities for others. You are hereby directed to explain your positions by tomorrow positively, failing which disciplinary action shall be recommended to the higher authorities for appropriate action under J&K Employees (Classification, Control & Appeal Rules),” reads BMO explanation orders to both the doctors.

    RAJOURI, JULY 16:–Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal on Sunday visited the office of the Executive Engineer (Ex Er) of the Rural Engineering Wing (REW) and reviewed the tendering progress of works under Capex budget.

    Reportedly, the DC has received complaints about favouritism in the tendering process by the concerned officials.
    During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal inquired about the status of various ongoing tenders.
    The Executive Engineer REW informed the Deputy Commissioner that the tendering process is being carried out in a transparent and efficient manner.
    He assured the Deputy Commissioner that all necessary steps are being taken to ensure that the tendering process is completed within the stipulated time frame.
    Vikas Kundal emphasized the need for timely completion of the tendering process for the development projects proposed under different schemes and stressed the tendering process must be carried out in a fair and transparent manner.
    The Deputy Commissioner also advised the officials involved in the tendering process to ensure that there was no delay in the issuance of tenders.

    He urged them to take all necessary steps to avoid any delays or obstacles in the tendering process.

    UDHAMPUR JULY 16:- A one day 17th Annual Pingla Mata Pilgrimage along with Charri Mubarak was flagged off from Pandav Mandir Udhampur today with traditional fervour and gaiety. The Yatra was organized by Shri Adhi Shakti Sewa Sanstha(SASSS), Udhampur.
    Ex MLA, Balwant Singh Mankitia formally flagged off the yatra on the occasion.
    A large number of pilgrims from different areas of state have paid their obeisance at the sacred Shrine of Pingla Mata to seek the blessings of Bhagwati, situated on a hill top at village Pinger in tehsil Ramnagar of district Udhampur. Lot of enthusiasm and high spirits were visible on the faces of numerous pilgrims hailing not only from district but also from different parts of the state who were constantly chanting bhajans.
    The Adi Shakti Sewak Sanstha, Udhampur taken the sacred Akhand jyoti from Pandav Mandir which was lit on July 15, 2023 to Cave Shrine in the morning. According to President Adi Shakti Sewak Sanstha, Udhampur, Mr. Ashok Kumar Gupta, the Akhand Jyoti was accompanied by large number of devotees chanting bhajans and kirtan in praise of Mata Pingla.
    Adhi Shakti Sewa Sanstha, Udhampur also provided bus services for the devotees from Udhampur to the base camp of cave shrine. Besides a free langar at the cave shrine and light refreshment stalls was also organised by the Sanstha and locals enroute to the shrine.
    Among other, Ex Sarpanch Mulkh Raj Gupta, Vice President, Mr. Ajay Gudda, Head Teacher Brahma Kumaris, B K Mamta Cashier, Manik Shah, Ankush Gupta, Pooja Gupta & other Members of the Santha and large number of people participated in the Shobha yatra.

    SRINAGAR, JULY 16: –Maroof Khan Socio- Political Activist in a statement issued to press on Sunday, has asked the UT administration to make all the required arrangements to facilitate the people especially devotees to observe Muhharam -ul-Haram smoothly with full religious fervour and sanctity. He has asked the concerned departments to ensure availability of uninterrupted water and power supply in and around various Imambaras. He also called for pressing into service additional water tankers especially in Shia dominated area so that devotees do not face any difficulty. He has urged the need to provide additional ration quota , essential commodities and cooking LPG to the people especially in shia dominated areas.
    He also urged for making proper LED lighting arrangements in and around various Imambaras of the district.He has asked the officers of various departments should conduct a thorough visit to about all the shia dominated areas of Jammu and Kashmir to make necessary arrangements on the eve of Muharam-ul-Haram. Khan also urged for making adequate medical facilities including first aid camps and additional Ambulance services in all the Shia dominated areas, he said.

    Indian Army Recovers Overturned Scorpio Vehicle At Brahmdori, Batpora B

    SRINAGAR JULY 16 :–A distress call was recieved from locals that a Scorpio vehicle driven by Gh Hassan resident of Kain Baihk had accidentally skidded of the road at a sharp turn and overturned at Brahmdori, Batpora. The driver suffered minor injuries and was rushed to SDH, Kupwara where in he was discharged after First Aid.

    The area has dense forests and narrow roads and also with limited availability of day light it was decided by the Indian Army team at site to recover the vehicle in the morning of 16 Jul 2023.

    A Light Recovery Vehicle reached the spot to recover the vehicle, however due to dense forests and scarcity of space for the recovery vehicle to operate the Scorpio was recovered after a challenging procedure which lasted more than three hours.
    The vehicle was handed over to the owner who was thank full to the Indian Army for the kind gesture.
