    SRINAGAR JULY 05:–On the auspicious occasion of Shri Guru Hargobind Ji’s birthday Social Activist and DDC BK Pora Saima Jan has extended her greetings to the people of J&K especially Sikh community on the auspicious occasion of Shri Guru Hargobind Ji’s birthday.

    In her message, Saima Jan said that on this day we celebrate the life and teachings of Shri Guru Hargobind Ji which tell us to adopt the principles of truthfulness, righteousness, compassion, and service to mankind in our lives.

    She said that the values underlying the teachings of the great Guru guide our endeavors to preserve the unity and secular outlook of our country. She also prayed for long lasting peace in Jammu and Kashmir.

    POONCH JULY 05:–A written complaint was lodged at PS Poonch by Inderjit Singh S/O Gurbachan Singh R/O ward no 10 Poonch on july 04 and mentioning therein that He owns a Jewellery Shop in Main Market Poonch. On july 04 when he came to his shop and found some gold was stolen from his shop. In this connection Case FIR No. 89/2023 U/S 379 IPC was registered and investigation was taken up.

    During the course of investigation it came to fore that one employee of Jewellery Shop namely Kinkar Jana S/O Parshanto Jana R/O West Bengal stole the gold and absconding after the commission of the crime. With the help of some technical and human inputs the accused was identified and a manhunt was launched to apprehend him . After thevhectic efforts, the accused has been arrested by police during investigation who disclosed his identity as Kinkar Jana S/O Parshanto Jana R/O West Bengal and stolen gold weighing 30 gms has been recovered from his possession. As the offence committed by employee so offence U/S 379 IPC has been omitted and offence U/S 381 IPC has been invoked in the case. The arrest and recovery has been made by Inspector Javaid Manhas SHO PS Poonch under the close supervision of DySP Hqrs Poonch Afrat Hussain and under the overall supervision of SSP Poonch Vinay Sharma JKPS.     SRINAGAR JULY 05 :–Demanding holding of all three tier Panchayat elections in Jammu and Kashmir simultaneously, Panchayat Confernce leaders said that holding elections for only just first tier (Halqa Panchayat ) in the current year will not be just and genuine if other two tiers like BDC and DDC continued.

    It is pertinent to mention here that the Halaqa Panchayat elections in Jammu and Kashmir are due in December 2023 while the elections to 2nd tier ( Block Development Councils ) are due in November 2024 and the elections to the 3rd tier (District Development Councils) are due in December 2025.

    Large number of Panchayat leaders from Kahmir gathered here at Srinagar on Wednesday and raised va8 issues of Public interest and concern .

    Speaking on the occasion, Shafiq Mir chairman All J&K Panchayat Conference said that as all political parties in Kashmir have failed on all fronts and there was no hope that any of them can lead masses in the present situation and it was the need and demand of the hour that young dedicated , educated and honest youth should come forward and take the responsibility of this basic local governing institution on their shoulders instead of becoming stooges of any political party. Mir said as all these political parties have a heavy boggy of corruption on their back and they can not lead the people freely fearing anti corruption action against them .
    Apart from this, the Panchayat leaders also demanded the restoration of old ration distribution scale and providing free of cost Power and water supplies in Jammu and Kashmir saying that as both these things are local resource of Jammu and Kashmir and people of the region hold first priority right on these resources . The Panchayat leaders also demanded that all the government sector and private sector jobs in Jammu and Kashmir should be reserved for JK youth on the pattern of Ladakh union territory . Panchayat conference leaders also demanded the release of all dues of MGNREGA since 2017.

    Other prominent Panchayat Conference leaders who spoke on occasion included, Mushtaq Ahmed Khan Provincial president Kashmir and Arun Kumar Sharma Provincial president Jammu.
