    MENDHAR JUNE 26 :—Pahari  Cultural and Welfare Cell JKUT spokesperson Tanveer Qureshi express his concern about the poor drianage system in Mendhar town.When a light rain occurs in Mendhar whole City and surrounding areas feels flood like situation,a local shopkeeper told us that all the shops in Mendhar town are at danger due poor drianage system of the Town.It is pertinent to mention here that Govt as well as local bodies are providing ample of funds for the development of town as adminstration remains mute spectators which allows the so called contractors to easily withdraw their money without completing the assign task.Qureshi urge the tehsil and district administration to draft a plan for betterment of Mendhar town so that people in general and shopkeepers in particular did not face the problem in this rainy season.

    SOPORE JUNE 26:–Minister of State & Chairperson J&K Waqf Board Dr Darakhshan Andrabi chaired Intellectuals Meet at Sopore today. The event was organised by Bharatiya Janata Party in connection with the month long celebrations of the party to highlight the achievements of nine years of BJP government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

    Prominent people from different walks of life participated. A very healthy discussion took place in which eminent personalities of the area spoke about the government programmes and schemes and their impact on the life of a common man.

    Dr Andrabi was accompanied by party spokesperson Abhijit Jasrotia. In her address Dr Darakhshan said that the viewpoint of the intellectuals shows us the way as we in BJP believe in public reach out & the feedback of the people guides us in formulating our plans & programmes. “We are not the party for the political families but for common people. Our thrust is always on public service guided by the people’s aspirations and needs. Modiji has ensured that inclusive & equitable development of all in the country is done”, said Dr Andrabi. She thanked the intellectual gathering for their valuable suggestions and guidance for future plans of growth and development in J&K. “Modiji’s popularity is increasing day by day in J&K as he has gifted us peace and has shown us the way forward for a sustainable development in J&K.

    We are now progressing in tune with the rising India & sets very high targets for future. She said that BJP believes in all time continuous public reach out in contrast to the dynasts who only use the people for their votes and later get busy in their power games. “Youth of Kashmir are getting attracted to BJP in large numbers seeing party’s public welfare approach and the real spirit of democracy within”, said BJP National Executive Member.

    Party District President G M Sofi & Ex MLC Surinder Ambarbar along with many local leaders of BJP were also present.

    RAJOURI JUNE 26:–Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri district nabbed four person who were absconding in different cases of Rajouri police station and were evading their arrest.

    Rajouri police said that a team headed by Incharge Police Post Rajouri city, PSI Sahil Choudhary under the supervision of SHO Rajouri Mohammad Showket Chowdhary intercepted the movement of these four men and nabbed them from suspected locations.

    These four person have been identified as Abdul Majid son of Badar Hussain resident of Chawa who was wanted in case FIR No 412/2003 U/S 376 RPC,
    Abdul Hamid son of Mithu resident of Gurdhan who was wanted in case FIR No 492/17 U/Ss 452/323 RPC, Mohd Ashraf son of Rahim Ali resident of Gurdhan Bala who was wanted in case FIR No 55/2011 U/Ss 341/323 RPC and Mohd Sageer son of Fazal Hussain resident of Mehari Gujjran who was wanted in FIR No 45/2013
    U/Ss 341/323/504/506 IPC.

    These four person wanted in different cases were categorised as absconders as they were evading their arrests but have been nabbed and produce before the Hon’ble Court of Law.

    SRINAGAR, JUNE 26: Social activist and DDC BK Pora Saima Jan has urged the government especially district administration of all districts to intensify market checking on the eve of Eid-ul-Adha to contain prices of essential commodities and sacrificial animals.
    In a statement issued today , Saima Jan has urged the government to launch a vigorous market checking drive in nook and corner of jammu and kashmir to contain skyrocketing prices of essential commodities and sacrificial animals on the eve of upcoming Bakra Eid. She said government should also redouble it’s efforts to ensure massive cleanliness and sanitisation especially during first three days of the Eid . She said government should enforce rate list of the Food Supplies and Consumer Affairs department strictly to prevent public from fleecing on the hands of profiteers .
    Saima Jan has urged the people to remember poor and destitute also while celebrating Eid and provide them every possible assistance. Saima said that every one among us should adopt austerity measures by cutting down wasteful expenditure and donate generously to ameliorate the lot of poor and needy in the society.

    SRINAGAR JUNE 26:– Saima Jan President DPAP Kashmir said in a press note here said that”I and my workers announce our resignation from the basic membership of the DPAP” .

    Saima jan alleged the DPAP had drifted off the path.

    Accompanied by dozens of workers, Saima Jan said she had joined the party on the invitation of Ghulam Nabi Azad .But the DPAP now completely got off the track that she had laid down, she claimed.

    DODA JUNE 26:–Soti Dudwar has been a prey of desrimination years together amid the people from the said village are representing the village at state and national level. For more then 60 years the area has been denied for basic amenities. The soti village located in Bhalessa Tehsil of Doda district, Jammu and Kashmir with total 314 families residing. The Soti Dudwar village has population of
    2082 as per the government Data.

    In panchayat population of children with age of 0-6 is 251 which makes up 16.27 % of total population of village. Average Sex Ratio of village is 958 which is higher than Jammu and Kashmir state average of 889. Child Sex Ratio for the village as per census is 685, lower than Jammu and Kashmir average of 862.The village has lower literacy rate as compared to Jammu and Kashmir. In 2011, literacy rate of village was 65.33 % compared to 67.16% of Jammu and Kashmir. Male literacy stands at 83.41% while female literacy rate was 47.63%.
    As per constitution of India and Panchyati Raaj Act,Soti Dudwar is administrated by Sarpanch (Head of Village) who is elected representative of village.
    Schedule Tribe (ST) constitutes 1.81 % of total population in village panchayat. There is no population of Schedule Caste (SC) in this village of Doda
    As far as work profile is concerned
    In village out of total population, 373 were engaged in work activities. 74.26 % of workers describe their work as Main Work (Employment or Earning more than 6 Months) while 25.74 % were involved in Marginal activity providing livelihood for less than 6 months. Of 373 workers engaged in Main Work, 72 were cultivators (owner or co-owner) while 3 were Agricultural labourer.
    The village Panchayat has certain scattered areas and the areas which lacks basic amenities since decades like Roads. The mojority of the area of Soti in Panchayat has been without roads especially the village like Malik Mohalla, lower Mir Mohalla belt, Some portion of changa balla, Khimal Zaar. These areas lacks a link road that may connect the main roads either with Changa Balla Road or with downward road of Soti. The areas need to be connected through a link road connecting Malik Mohalla, lower Mir Mohalla belt, Some portion of Changa Balla, Khimal Zaar. The locals has approached the UT administration for the immediate approval to be accorded by preparing a Detailed Project Report (DPR) to provide justice to the uncovered population of Malik Mohalla, lower Mir Mohalla belt, Some portion of Changa Balla, Khimal Zaar. The matter of the fact is that area lacks a Primary Health Centre (PHC) too. The demand of these areas had been put forth by the local panchayat functionaries, and people especially elderly at large.
    The locals has demanded that approval be accorded for the construction of 1,1/2km link road so that people will be benifitted from the same. There are several footpaths connecting from main roads to Malik Mohalla, lower Mir Mohalla belt, Some portion of Changa Balla, Khimal Zaar and the same paths be converted into a link road without wasting the land of the poor populace inhibiting there.
    It is worthwhile to mention that the road has been denied to the inhabitants of Kakoti (Alni Gingota), upper kota, Gurgan and its adjoining habitations where a majority of the population has been kept away from survey and the road survey has been revoked by the vested interests.
