Had terrorists killed Minister’s children, the case would have been solved within days: Saroj Bala.
Security agencies still clueless about perpetrators even after 90 days of massacre: Sarpanch Dheeraj.
RAJOURI, APRIL 01 :-‘Hundreds of residents of Dhangri and adjoining villages and family members of victims of the Dhangri twin terror attacks on Saturday evening carried out a candle march to lodge their protest and resentment against the administration’s failure to take action against the perpetrators and their supporters.
Protesters also expressed their resentment over DGP’s recent statement in which he said that terrorists had infiltrated from Pakistan and killed innocent people in Dhangri village.
Protesters alleged that if the security agencies know that the terrorists came from Pakistan, then they must be aware of where the terrorists have gone and who had guided the terrorists, providing them with logistic support.
“Even after 90 days of the gruesome terror attacks, in which 7 people attained martyrdom and 14 others were injured, security agencies seem to be clueless and even failed to take action against those who supported the terrorists,” said Dheeraj Kumar Sarpanch.
DGP’s statement has forced the people and family members of victims to intensify their resentment, he added.
More than one thousand people, including family members of victims, started their peaceful candle march from Dhangri Chowk to Khalsa Chowk.
The Family members of victims were raising slogans, including ‘We want justice’; Give justice to martyrs’; ‘Bande Matram’; Bharat Mata ki Jai’ and “Action against Dhangri perpetrators & their supporters’.
“The Government is least bothered about our miseries. Had the children of Ministers been killed by the terrorists, the case would have been solved within 4-5 days,” said Saroj Bala and other family members of victims.
Now we will not give any more time to the administration. We will now intensify our agitation and for any consequences, the responsibilities would be of the administration” said Sarpanch Dheeraj Kumar.
Inhabitants of Dhangri also decided to organise a ‘Maha Panchayat’ on Sunday, which will be joined by Sarpanches of more than twenty Panchayats and prominent religious leaders besides Rajiv Chuni, Chairman SOS International.
“It is expected that a committee will be constituted in the Maha Panchayat to carry forward our further struggle for justice and further course of action,” said Dheeraj Kumar, Sarpanch Upper Dhangri.
On March 28, family members of victims of the Dhangri terrorist attack threatened to migrate as the government fails to trace, track and eliminate the attackers to date.
They also threatened to return the ex-gratia amount, government jobs provided and weapons issued for their security in resentment as the government even fails to take action against those who provided help to the terrorists involved in the gruesome incident.
On March 29 family members of the victims didn’t allow the ground-water authorities (sent by deputy commissioner) to install a hand pump in the village.
It is pertinent to mention here that in the evening on January 1, two terrorists struck in Upper Dhangri village in Rajouri district of J&K and started indiscriminate firing in which four persons were killed on the spot while another succumbs to injuries in a hospital at Jammu after a few days.
Before leaving the village, terrorists planted an IED that exploded the next day in which two minor cousins were killed.
Seven people were killed while 14 others were injured in twin terror attacks. Family members are demanding action against the perpetrators and against those who helped them.
“We want justice. We don’t need money and jobs. We want action against attackers and their supporters,” said family members, including Saroj Bala (who lost her two sons) and Neeta (who lost her husband & father in law) in the attack.
NIA is investigating the Dhangri & Phalyana terror attacks. At Phalyana the terrorists had killed two civilians in the early morning hours on December 16 in the vicinity of Rajouri Army Hospital.
