    KISHTWAR MARCH 11:–With an aim to reach out the people to redress their grievances at their door step, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kishtwar Sh.Sham Lal (JKAS) on Friday conducted an extensive tour of Block Bunjwah of district Kishtwar and inspected various developmental works of Rural Development Department besides listened to the grievances of people enroute.

    ADDC interacted and listened to the grievances of PRIs and locals of Tipri, Jwalapur, Nali, Devi Gool,Patnazi A and Binoon areas.

    During the visit ADDC  accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Development, Atul Dutt Sharma,BDO Bounjwah Firdous Kamal, Account Officer of DC office Imran Kichloo besides other concerned Officer and PRIs.

    The locals of Tipri,Jwalapur,Nali, Devi Gool ,Patnazi A and Binoon areas projected their grievances and issues related to Irrigation, RDD and PMGSY etc.

    After giving patient hearing to the demands and issues raised by the locals, the ADDC Kishtwar redressed majority of them on spot in consultation with the concerned officers besides assured them that rest of the grievances have been noted down by the concerned officers and action shall be taken accordingly to redress the demands.

    Meanwhile, the ADDC also inspected the progress on various developmental work taken under different heads of RDD and directed the executing agencies to speed up the pace of work for timely completion without compromising the quality of work.

    ADDC directed the BDO Bounjwah to install CIBs on each work, depicting the full detail of cost of project and expenditure incurred and nature of work on it.

    KUPWARA MARCH 11:–The ‘Kupwara Super 50’ Program was conceived by Indian Army to get renowned coaching institutes in India to the doorsteps of selected students of Kupwara, who aspire to appear for IIT, JEE, UPSC & NEET. Entrance exam for selection was conducted in two phases on 12 & 22 November 2022 for students from entire Kupwara district and nearby places. This was followed by an interview to get screened in Super 50. Total 438 students including 86 female students appeared for the said exam out of which 50 students including 13 female students were finally selected for coaching. The selection of students was based on the candidate’s performance during the screening examination and interview as per the acceptance standards of coaching academies

    The first phase of this noble course was started on 24 Jan 2023, when General Officer Commanding, Vajr Div felicitated 30 students who are currently undergoing their free online coaching classes which started from 27 Jan 2023 by Manifest, Chankya IAS Learning & Byju’s academy’s.

    Today Commander, Hajipir Brigade along with Mr Tushar Kumar, CEO Plutus Academy and Dr Huma Hassan felicitated 20 students nominated for online coaching of UPSC and NEET exams in Hajipir Brigade, Trehgam. Students were felicitated and were provided with the essential details to carry out the online training from Plutus academy. The efforts and enthusiasm of students was highly appreciated by Army officials who motivated them to remain focused on their goals and work hard with full enthusiasm and zeal to achieve the same.

    JAMMU MARCH11 :–All Jammu and Kashmir Border Area Development Conference(JK-BADC), a registered organization working for the welfare of residents of border areas has requested the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board to address genuine grievances of the agitating aspiring youth in Kashmir and Jammu divisions to and take all necessary steps to amicably resolve their concerns. The organization also condemned the high handedness of the protesting youth in Jammu.

    Dr Shazad Ahmed Malik, Chairman of JK-BADC and former Vice Chancellor in a statement called for an amicable solution to the demands of the agitating youth who are demanding fairness in recruitments.

    The former Vice Chancellor called the demand of the aspiring candidates as absolutely justifiable and said that that even an iota of doubt should not be allowed in recruitment process and any controversial company or person should not be allowed to remain associated in any recruitment process.

    Dr Shazad also appealed the Lieutenant Governor to direct the Chairman JKSSB to issue a white paper in the whole episode to restore the faith of the youth and their family members in the recruitment panel. The BADC Chairperson also demanded that property statement of all the officers of the JKSSB should be made available on JKSSB website so that no doubt remains in the minds of the people and it would further bring bonhomie between the citizenry and the government.

    Saima Jan also expresss grief and sorrow on demise of Prominent Athlete General Secratary Wushu Association North Kashmir’s Baramulla Jabeena Akhter who passed away yesterday after long illness in Srinagar hospital.

    Saima Jan prayed for the eternal peace, elevation of her status in heaven.

    SRINAGAR, March 11:– Democratic Progressive Azad party State Secretary Jammu and Kashmir Tasleema Akhter expressed grief and sorrow over the devastation caused in the accident at Maisuma Srinagar, where shops were gutted in fire.

    Tasleema Akhter expressed grief over the heavy loss of property in the tragic incident of fire and appealed for immediate compensation for the victims of the fire.

    Tasleema Akhter urged the administration to estimate the damage  property and compensate the traders as soon as possible.
