    Pir Panjal Community Radio team calls on Lt Governor Manoj Sinah

    RAJOURI, MARCH 02:–A team of young Radio Jockeys of Radio Pir Panjal 90.4 FM, established at Surankot in Poonch district by the Indian Army, on Wednesday met and interacted with Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha at the Raj Bhavan, Jammu.
    The team comprising of Radio Jockeys Abdul Majid, Mohd Qasim, Ms Faieza Tabasum, and Ms Sara Fatima was accompanied by Brigadier M. P Singh and Lt Col. Vivek Singh, appraised the Lt Governor of the work and contribution of the radio station to the local community through its informative and entertaining programs.
    It is pertinent to mention here that Radio Pir Panjal 90.4 FM has recently been awarded for ‘Best Use of Radio in Public Service’ by the outreach program held at the 9th International Radio fair, Bhubaneshwar, Odisha on World Radio Day.
    The Lt Governor appreciated their efforts to inform people on all matters of public interest, & educate and entertain its audiences. He further asked the RJs to create awareness about youth and women’s issues through their Community Radio.
    The Community Radio Station has been set up by the Indian Army with the aim to preserve and promote the culture of the twin border districts of Rajouri & Poonch.
    The Radio Station broadcasts programs in different languages, including Gojri, Pahari, and Urdu apart from Hindi and Punjabi, informing the listeners on social welfare issues, women empowerment, youth employment, and tourism.

    UDHAMPUR MARCH 02:–Commissioner Secretary, Labour and Employment, Sarita Chauhan, who is Prabhari Officer for Panchayat Rehmbal Lower- II, Udhampur block, today visited the Panchayat and reviewed progress on deliverables under various self-employment and individual oriented schemes.

    Chairman Block Development Council, Balwan Singh, Sarpanch Panchayat Rehmal lower -II and other PRI members of the Panchayat besides officers of line departments were present on the occasion.

    During the visit, Commissioner Secretary interacted with the PRI members, general public and officers of line departments to take stock of follow up of issues and grievances put up by the Gram Sabha during fourth phase of ambitious “Back to Village” programme held in the Panchayat.

    Sarita Chauhan held detailed discussion regarding implementation of self employment schemes of various departments in the panchayat. She was informed that the local youth are exhibiting keen interest in several self employment schemes and 28 people have availed benefit of these programmes schemes with a loan amount of Rs 1.27 crore.

    She was further told that many women have also come forward to take loans to start their own boutiques and beauty parlours besides mushroom units through self help groups.

    Commissioner Secretary emphasized the need of creating massive awareness among the people of the panchayat regarding self employment schemes so that maximum people could be benefitted.

    The Panchayat representatives assured that they will hold awareness camps in coordination with the concerned line departments to avail maximum benefit of different government self employment schemes and programmes.

    Sarpanch of the area informed that all the issues are being addressed with full support of officers and the process of development has improved a lot with such visits of senior level officers.

    SRINAGAR MARCH 02 :–DPAP Leader and DDC BK Pora Saima Jan expressed grief and sorrow on the demise of Aunt of senior journalist and Anchor Gulistan Tv Syed Rouf Farooqui.

    In a condolence message Saima Jan said the deceased was pious lady with great qualities of head and heart. Saima Jan prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and give strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss. Saima Jan showed sympathy and solidarity with the whole bereaved family and prayed for Jannat to the departed soul.

    RAJOURI MARCH 02:–In order to address the ever growing issue of Cyber crimes and to spread awareness about cyber security measures, RPHQ Rajouri organised a seminar on the topic “Cyber Security- Future Challenges and Capacity Building”.

    The session was inaugurated by DIG RP Range Dr. Haseeb Mughal, IPS who highlighted the role of Cyber Awareness in current scenario and urged the participants to understand the fundamentals of cyber technology in order to stay relevant in the present times. He stressed on the need of understanding the ever increasing ambit of cyber world and the Cyber crimes. Police officers need to upgrade their knowledge and practical skills to investigate such crime, he added. He briefed the gathering about the Digital evidences, how to Collect/Preserve, Analyze and utilize them for substantiating the offences during investigation of the Cases.

    The programme was attended by about hundred plus participants including Police officers of the district, PSIs , IOs from various Police Stations and Police Posts and IT students from Degree College Rajouri.

    During the Seminar, various speakers deliberated upon the topic. Speakers who spoke on the topics include Dr. Manmeet Singh, Assistant Professor from BGSBU Rajouri, Sahil Khajuria from J&K Bank Zonal Head office Muradpur, Rajouri and Parupkar Singh, JKPS, DySP DAR Rajouri. The sessions were very interactive and spellbinding.

    Topics related to Cyber threats, online frauds, banking frauds, identity theft, social media awareness, investigation of Cyber crimes and uses of Cyber technology in investigation were discussed.

    Later in the closing address, DIG RP Range thanked all the speakers for sharing the valuable information on the subject. He requested the college students to act as ambassadors to this agenda by helping in spreading awareness amongst their fellow mates and families, and help them in being less vulnerable and less suseptible to various Cyber Crimes. He also highlighted that J&K Police shall routinely conduct such conferences in future to keep its investigating officers in tune with growing Cyber Crime Challenges.

    DODA MARCH 02:–A core committee on different languages of erstwhile Doda held a Virtual meeting which was attended by the large number of writers based in esrtwhile Doda and discussed the different issues pertaining to the pool of writers created by the committee_.

    The meeting was attended by Abdul Majeed Bichoo, Abdul Khaliq, Dr Javed Katoch Patrons Core committee_.
    Speaking on the occasion Sadaket Malik president of the committee said that committee which consist of more then 150 writers from erstwhile Doda especially Pogal, Bhalessa, Bhaderwah, Kishtwar, Ramban Banihal, Saraz and Padder who approached dozen times to this committee regarding the publication of their menuscripts and had sought financial assistance since 2021_.
    The fact that the writers who always approached the committee for monetary aid for publication has been suggested to follow the procedures regarding the Schemes initiated by JKAACL, NCPUL, and CIIL Mysore_.
    Indigenous language movement submitted a reminder letter to JKAACL, JKBOSE CIIL Mysore regarding the matter of writers who approached our organisation for Publication of certain books in local languages and financial aid for the same. The representation regarding inclusion under other schemes and subsidy has been noted by our committee_.
    The trailing calls has been noted by the committee since 2021 by interested writers some in person approached the committee for the same_.
    Abdul Latief Bulbul President Pogali Bazm i Adab said that since 2009 the writers are unable to get any assistance_.
    Manzoor Ahmed Katoch Chief spokesman of the committee throw light on the historical aspects and working an management of the organization and content creation by the different quarters_.
    The meeting also focused on the decision of the Worthy LG on these languages and Creation of saprate cultural centre for them_.
    The committee has reviewed its stand on pending JKBOSE proposal for content creation_.
    The proposal for the documentation of SIRAM (spoken in Banihal) Khash (Spoken in Sarsi Village of Doda), and Mishabi (Khasali) spoken in Malhori area has been taken up and approved by CIIL Mysore and the work is going on it in full swing_. However, some urdu scholars who approached us regarding financial Aid since 2021 are suggested to submit their application to the CIIL Mysore, Language Division of Ministry of Education Govt of India and JKAACL_.
    The NGO has already dessiminated this information to concerned writers of Bhalessa, Doda, Bhaderwah, Padder, Saraz, Pogal for the documentation under the central scheme of Endangered languages. It has been decided that the pool of 150 writers based in erstwhile Doda who specialise in Poetry, prose, short story writings has been submitted to JKAACL for organising of Writers meet and the proposal for organising the same has been taken up with JKAACL. The documentation of rest of the five languages i.e Pogali, Bhaderwahi, Bhalesi, Padri, Sarazi by the CIIL Mysore, Content creation by JKBOSE/ JKSCERT has been forwored to the concerned quarters for their enrishment and preservation_.
    The committee also decided to organise a Grand meet on 12th of March at near Writers club Jammu. The proceedings of the meeting was convened by Ashraf Katoch General secretary. Others who spoke include Thakur Uttam Singh, Arshad Jhangir, Navid Anjum, Saqlain Ghani, Irshad Ahmed and many others_.
