    RAJOURI, FEBRUARY 24:–To discuss and approve the applications received online from applicants for change of land use, Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal, IAS, on Friday chaired a meeting of the District Level Committee on change of land use..
    After a threadbare discussion, the committee members approved one case of conversion of agricultural land for non-agricultural purposes.
    The DC, Vikas Kundal directed concerned departments to ensure the timely issuance of No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to the applicant after proper verification of documents and rules under land conversion Regulations, 2022.
    Necessary directions were issued to the concerned departments to ensure the timely issuance of NOCs after proper verification of documents.
    Officers who attended the meeting included, Additional DC Rajouri, Sachin Dev Singh; GM DIC, Ashwini Sharma; SE Hydraulics, Sanjeev Sharma; ACR, Imran Rashid Kataria; SE PWD(R&B), Kamal Kishore; DIO, Muzaffar Mir, and other concerned officers

    RAJOURI, FEBRUARY 24:–Several measures are in the process of streamlining the strengthening of working conditions in Associated Hospital Government Medical College (AH&GMC) Rajouri under the overall supervision of Principal Prof. (Dr) A.S Bhatia and Medical Superintendent (MS), Dr. Mehmood Hussain Bajar.
    GMC administration also released a WhatsApp number for the general public for lodging suggestions and grievances for the improvement of the working of Associated Hospital.
    MS, Dr. Mehmood Hussain informed that between 1 April 2022 and 31 January 2023, the precious lives of 72 critically sick/injured patients were saved at Associated Hospital GMC after due care by providing life support on the ventilators.
    Dr. Mehmood also informed that 1652 sessions of dialysis have also been conducted in the dialysis unit of Associated Hospital and Government Medical College (AH&GMC) Rajouri during the last year. i.e till 22 February 2023 free of cost under the Pradhan Mantri National Dialysis Program (PMNDP)
    This was disclosed by the Medical Superintendent, AH&GMC Rajouri, Dr. Mehmood Hussain Bajar, and added at present 55 patients of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) are availing the facility of dialysis in the hospital under AB-PMJAY) SEHAT scheme.
    Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) SEHAT scheme.
    The main aim behind the scheme is to extend health insurance coverage to all residents of Jammu and Kashmir. About the AB-PMJAY Scheme. – SEHAT stands for Social, Endeavour for Health, and Telemedicine.
    The functioning of the dialysis unit at AH&GMC Rajouri has come as a big relief to persons suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease as single dialysis costs between Rs 2500 and Rs 4000 in the private sector. Patients require anywhere between four dialysis a month to over ten, on average.

    BHADERWAH FEBRUARY 24:–A demand for creation of another new district Bhaderwah in Chenab Valley by bifurcating Doda was made by Adv Mohd Majid Malik prominent social activists who is spearheading the movement to create Bhaderwah District . He met Lt Gov Monaj Sinha and four power ful Union Minister included Dr Jatinder Singh Union Minister in PMO from the last two years with a proposal and memorandum to create a new district Bhaderwah by carving out from Doda district keeping in view the merit , qualification and history of Bhaderwah.

    Speaking to media, Adv Mohd Majid Malik prominent social activist said, there is a demand for a new district Bhaderwah and sentiments of people of Bhaderwah are connected with this district .

    Shortly, a meeting of civil society and like minded people concerned will be called and a committee will be formed to formulate a further strategy for a struggle in this regard,” he added and expressed hope that Bhaderwah will get District status. Things are moving in that direction. A long pending demand which should have been fulfilled by dispensations of the past is likely to be fulfilled by the present dispensation , he added .He also demanded all political parties to nominate district president of their parties for Bhaderwah if they suport Bhaderwah district demand .It is notable to mention here that demand for the creation of a new Bhaderwah district has also gained momentum and Majid Malik who is vocal for local issues of Bhaderwah is geeting public support .

    SRINAGAR FEBRUARY 24:–To celebrate the birth anniversary of Imam Hossein (AS), the 3rd Imam and grandson of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w), a function was held at Qom, attended by Seminarians of various countries.

    Hashmi delivered a speech that said that Imam Hussain (a.s) spent a significant time of his childhood with Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) as the love and affection of the Prophet towards Imam Hussain was unique. He said that the birthday of Imam Hussain is a major festival. It is a grand occasion for everyone who stands for the truth and fights against the evil.

    Kashmiri seminarian Karar Hashmi added that Imam Hussain is known for taking a stand against the evil rule of his time. Having refused to support the tyrant ruler, the Prophet’s grandson was martyred at Karbala, in modern Iraq.

    A group of scholars, clerics, students of Islamic seminaries, and general followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, attended the festive event.

    JAMMU FEBRUARY 24:–Jammu and Kashmir Border Area Development Conference(JKBADC), a registered organization working for the welfare of the residents of the border areas has requested the School Education Department and Deputy Commissioner Poonch to construct Laboratory, Library and Play ground in High School Soyian(East) of border block Balakote.

    Dr Shazad Ahmed Malik, Chairman JKBADC and former Vice Chancellor during his visit to the areas was apprised by locals and parents of High School Soyian that this School was upgraded in year 2015 from middle to High School and it was promised to them that the school building would also be up restructured to provide the facility of Library, Laboratory and also a play ground there but nothing was done so far. Other local issued related to road, water and power were also discussed during the meeting.

    After the meeting with Locals, the former VC urged the Jammu and Kashmir government to consider this genuine demand of the people and provide these basic facilities to the children.

    He informed that the school also has vacant land of around 4_5 Kanal but there is no playground in this school and requested that a playground be developed in this school and the proposal be put forward in this regard to the concerned for release of funds” .

    He also highlighted the issue of shortage of staff there in this school and requested the district administration and school education department to look into the matter seriously so that the future of the students is not compromised.

    RAJOURI, FEBRUARY 24: The District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, today convened a meeting with the Jal Shakti Department to address the issues related to the supply of drinking water to households in the district.
    The meeting was held to ensure that all households receive clean and uninterrupted water supply as per the existing water schemes.

    During the meeting, the Jal Shakti Department provided scheme-wise details and discussed the issues that were impeding the daily water supply. The department shared information about the existing water supply schemes and their current status, as well as the challenges or bottlenecks that need to be addressed to ensure uninterrupted water supply to all households in the district. The department also informed that Jal Jeevan Mission schemes have been proposed to provide water to all households.
    In light of the discussions, the District Development Commissioner directed the concerned officials to take necessary steps to address the issues and ensure that all households receive clean drinking water from existing water schemes. The officials were instructed to expedite the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission schemes to provide water to households.
    “The district administration is committed to make available clean and uninterrupted water supply to all households in the district. The concerned officials have been directed to work in close collaboration with the Jal Shakti Department to ensure the timely completion of water supply schemes and projects” the DC said.
    The District Development Commissioner has urged the residents to use water responsibly and avoid wastage to ensure that the available resources are utilized efficiently. “The district administration appeals to the public to cooperate and support the efforts of the concerned officials in ensuring the availability of clean drinking water to all households in the district” he added.
