    HANDWARA FEBRUARY 22 :-‘One day workshop was conducted on 22-02-2023 under Vigyan Prasar DST sponsored programme funded by SEED division of DST for Socio-Economic Upliftment Of Scheduled Tribes of Kashmir. The aim of the workshop was to sanitize the ST community of Kupwara regarding the scope of bioresource management in socio economic upliftment.Dr Nasir Hamid Masoodi of SKUAST K Shalimar who is PI of the programme and Dr Arif Huuain Wani highlighted the scope of ornamental plants, bulb production and nursery raising of other ornamentals in sustainable livelihood security. Besides this role of ornamental plants in bee keeping was one of the main aspect highlighted in this one day workshop.

    The importance of temperate floral wealth and its socio economic upliftment was the theme of the workshop. There was a healthy discussion with ST ‘s of different villages of Tensil Handwara regarding the scope of tapping the high value crop selection which can give maximum returns from small land holding. Priority areas were delaminated viz. bulb production of niche crops like tulip, lilium etc ,rasing of hybrid seedlings, establishment of demonstration units, module of crop selection and propagation and developing Farmer Produce Organization for sustainable entrepreneurship development.

    UDHAMPUR FEBRUARY 22:–A volleyball tournament organised by Udhampur Police at Govt Higher Secondary School Kud under its civic action program was culminated today. Different teams from different areas of Sub division Chenani participated in the said tournament.

    Today the final match was played between Kud Volleyball Club and Mall road Volleyball Club in which the Mall road Volleyball Club as the winner of the tournament.

    The closing ceremony was performed by Insp. Vijay Kumar SHO PS Kud on the directions of SSP Udhampur Dr. Vinod Kumar- IPS besides other officers/officials were also present.

    Also the event witnessed spectators coming from different areas to cheer the teams and boost up their Morales. Later prizes were also distributed to the winner, Runners up and match referees were also facilitated.

    At the end in the media briefing SHO Kud mentioned that sports is the best mean to eradicate social evils by positively channelizing the energy of youth.

    He further stated that sports events under Civic Action Programme (CAP) were organised across the district with the same aim and appreciated the contribution of all who were instrumental in organizing this tournament.

    RAJOURI, FEBRUARY 22:–District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, on Wednesday inaugurated a smart classroom, sports and reading rooms and a library in the Government Middle School (GMS) Sara.

    The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Block Development Council (BDC) Chairman, Javid Iqbal, along with other officials and dignitaries.

    The new smart classroom, sports and reading rooms, and library have been created with the aim to provide students with access to modern learning facilities and promote overall development.
    The smart classroom is equipped with the latest digital technology, including interactive boards, projectors and other audio-visual aids, to make the learning process for the students more engaging and interactive.

    The sports and reading rooms provide students with a dedicated space to engage in physical activities and improve their reading habits, respectively. The library is well-stocked with books and other reading material to help students improve their knowledge and understanding of different subjects.

    Speaking at the inauguration, the DDC emphasised the importance of providing quality education to all students. He also lauded the efforts of the school administration, teachers, and other officials for their hard work and dedication in setting up the new facilities.
    BDC Chairman, Iqbal congratulated the school administration and stressed the need for similar initiatives in other schools of the district to improve the quality of education and provide better opportunities for students.

    The new facilities at GMS Sara are expected to benefit hundreds of students and help them in their overall development. The district administration remains committed to promoting the welfare and development of all students in the district and will continue to take measures to improve the quality of education in government schools.

    راجوری پونچھ میں مسلمانوں کے الگ الگ مکتبہ فکر، منبر ، محراب، مساجد، امام اور مسلک ہمیشہ سے موضوع بحث رہتے ہیں۔ یہاں تک کہ نماز جنازہ بھی متنازع شکل اختیار کر جاتے رہے ہیں۔ لیکن یہاں کچھ ایسے مسلمان بھی موجود ہیں جو آپسی پیار اتحاد کو مضبوط کرنے کی کوشش کرتے ہیں تاکہ ایسی باتیں اور معاملات رونما نہ ہوں جن سے قوم کو زک پہنچے۔

    وہی لوگ تعلیم یافتہ ہیں وہی لوگ سرفراز ہیں
    جنہوں نے زندگی بسر اس طریقہ سے کی ہو جو اللہ اور اللہ کے رسولﷺ کے حکم کے مطابق ہو اور ہمیشہ مخلوق کی خدمت سب سے بڑی عبادت اور علم سیکھنا اورسیکھانا مشغلہ زندگی رہا ہو۔ اپنی صفحوں میں یکجہتی کے ساتھ اتفاق و اتحاد کا نعرہ ہمہشہ بلند کیا ہو۔ ان کی زندگی کا یہ مقصد ایک نا ایک دن ضرور پورا ہوجاتا ہے۔ آج راجوری میں جس منظر کو دنیا نے اپنی آنکھوں سے دیکھا ہے۔ جو کام نا کوئی عالم اپنی واعظ سے کرپایا۔ وہ عظیم کارنامہ ایک مشہور ومعروف علمی و ادبی شخصیت نے اپنی زندگی کو ایک مسلمان کے کردار کی طرح عوام میں پیش کیا اس جدوجہد میں یہ شاید اپنی زندگی میں کامیاب نہ ہو سکے لیکن اس دنیا سے گزر جانے کے بعد ہم نے دیکھا ہے تمام مسلمانوں کو ایک ساتھ کھڑے کیا ہے۔ کہ اللہ کبھی کسی کی محنت ضائع نہیں کرتا ہے۔
    جناب نثار راہی صاحب کے عمل و زندگی بسر کرنے کے طریقہ کار نے آج تمام مکتبہ فکر کو، تمام مسلک کو، تمام ائمہ کرام کو ایک جگہ اکھٹا ہونے پر مجبور کر دیا۔
    جو دوداسن کی سرزمین پر ہزاروں کی تعداد میں جناب مرحوم نثار احمد راہی صاحب کے نماز جنازہ میں شامل پائے گئے۔ جو ہمیشہ ایک دوسرے سے دور اپنی مسجد محراب ومنبر کی بات کرتے تھے وہ ایک ہی صف میں کھڑے پائے گے۔
    کیا یہی مشن تھا جناب مرحوم نثار احمد راپی صاحب کا کیا ان کی زندگی کا مقصد یہی تھا کہ تمام مسلمان ایک ہوجائیں۔
    جہاں ان کی نماز جنازہ جناب حضرت سید باجی ایوب صاحب قبلہ نے ادا کروائی وہی کثیر تعداد میں سادات کرام بھی موجود تھے اولیاء کرام کے مزارات کے مجاوروگدینشین بھی موجود تھے اہلسنت والجماعت کے جید علماء بھی موجود تھے دیوبندی، بریلوی، اہلحدیث ، علماء کرام، صوفیہ کرام، اساتزہ کرام، ضلع انتظامیہ، ادیب، شاعر، مفکر، سیاسی سماجی شخصیات و تمام اہل علم لوگوں کا جمع غفیر اس بات کی تصدیق کیے جا رہا تھا۔ کہ گزرنے والے کی زندگی کا پیغام یہی تھا کہ تمام ایک ہوجائیں۔ تفرقہ بازی، نفرت، قدورت ، بیدبھاو کرنے والوں سے خبردار رہیں بس یہی پیغام سناتے ہوئے وہ اس دنیا کو الودع کہتے ہوئے پمیشہ رہنے والی دنیا میں منتقل ہوگئے۔ شاید ان کی نماز جنازہ تمام لوگوں کو دین حق پہچاننے کے لیے مددگار ثابت ہو اور یہ اپنے اکابرین کو چھوڑ کر اللہ اور اللہ کےبرسولﷺ کے بتائے ہوئے راستے پر عمل پہرہ ہونے کے لیے اپنے دماغ کو جنبش دیں۔

    زات برادریوں میں تقسیم کرنے والوں کے لیے بھی انہوں نے ایک بڑی مثال قائم کی ہوئی ہے۔ جس کو دیکھتے ہوئے ہمیں اپنے آپ میں بیداری لاتے ہوئے نفرت کی آگ سے باہر لانا ہے۔
    اللہ تعالی ان کو جنت نصیب فرمائے۔ پسماندگان کو صبر جمیل عطاء فرمائے۔ یہ ایک اثاثہ تھا جو بہت کچھ باقی چھوڑ کے اور ہمارے لیے مشعل راہ کی مانند دار بقاء میں منتقل ہو گئے۔ ہمارا یہ فرض بنتا ہے کہ ہم اس سرمایہ کو سنبھال کر رکھیں۔ اور ہمیشہ ان کی کاوشوں کو یاد رکھیں اور نسل در نسل منتقل کرتے جائیں۔۔ نثار احمد راہی صاحب اپنے تمام سرمایہ حیات اعلی منصب پر ہونے کے باوجود صرف اپنی زاتی شخصیت کی پہچان چھوڑ کر گئے ہیں۔
    اللہ تعالی ہم سب کو اپنے حفظ و امان میں رکھے اور سہی دین پر چلنے کی توفیق عطاء فرمائے۔

    RAJOURI FEBRUARY 22:–In order to address the menace of drugs and to sensitize the masses about the prevalence and means of prevention of drug abuse, RPHQ Rajouri organized a seminar on the topic “ _Drug awareness-counter measures to tackle menace_ ” at District Police Lines, Rajouri. The programme was attended by 125 participants including Police officers, students, traders, Religious leaders and prominent members of the civil society.

    During this seminar, guest lectures were delivered by Smt Pallavi Singh, Chairperson JKSPYM, Jammu, Dr Sumit Bakshi, MO Rajouri, Dr Mehmood Bajar MS GMC Rajouri, Dr Sukrita Sharma of GMC Rajouri, Dr Imran Khan of GMC Rajouri and Adv. Shivangi Kant, Law Officer, Juvenile Justice Board Rajouri.

    The speakers presented immersive and thought provoking lectures-presentations on the menace of drug abuse.

    Ms. Pallavi Singh laid emphasis on negating the impact of peer pressure which is the most common reason for youth indulging in drugs. She also highlighted the importance of parental supervision. Dr. Mehmood Bajar highlighted that drug awareness and rehabilitation centres are available at District and Block levels and the public must take full advantage of these units. He also highlighted the the requisite medicines required for rehabilitation of drug abusers are sufficiently available at Psychiatry department GMC Rajouri.

    Advocate Shivangi Kant talked about the legal aspects of drug abuse. Dr. Imran, Psychiatrist GMC Rajouri touched the practical aspects of rehabilitation and focused on adopting a humane approach towards the addicts.

    In his closing address, DIG R-P Range Rajouri Dr. Mohd. Haseeb Mughal, IPS thanked all the speakers and requested civil society to come forward and contribute towards drug awareness and prevention. He highlighted the adoption of the “Ubuntu” approach, i.e, focus on human virtues, compassion and humanity in dealing with drug menace.

    Few documentaries were shown to the audience about the Drug addiction and way forward.

    SSP Rajouri Mohd. Aslam, JKPS, ASP Hqrs Rajouri Vivek Shekhar, JKPS and other officers of the District Police Rajouri also participated in the seminar…….
    Participants were offered a working lunch and refreshments during the event.
    Participants particularly the students were given Participation Certificates.
    Veterans of Rajouri society who attended the events appreciated the Role of Police in bringing all the stakeholders on a common platform to reach out a lasting solution to the problems the menace of Drug addiction.
