03 Self Styled Leaders Arrested in Srinagar: Police ; Says They Threatened & Intimidated Media Persons, Gave Anti-National Byte Yesterday

Whistle blowers and Local Journalist Danish Iqbal and Javed Ahmed and others urged upon Administration for conducting of free, fair, and transparent inquiry into huge bungling in MGNREGA, 14FC, 15FC payments of Panchayat RotiPaderna during the financial year 2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21-22 to till the date of Block Doda (Ghat) and illegal crediting of Lacs of rupees into the Bank Account Numbers of close associates of PRI’s, VLW, GRS, and others byshowing them as dummy vendors ( material suppliers) in Panchayat RotiPaderna. adding that the concerned Sarpanch and employees of RDD Block Doda are trying their best to mislead higher authorities by way of submitting false and unnecessary response that there is need of hour for conducting inquiry through team of Anti Corruption Bearue.

SSP Rajouri distributes computers in Nari Niketan, Zia Ul Islam Manjakote under Civic Action Programme

RAJOURI FEBRUARY 16:–With an aim to boost morale of students and to provide them an opportunity to learn advanced computer skills , Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri district distributed computers in Nari Niketan Rajouri as well as in Jamia Zia Ul Islam Manjakote.
Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri, Mohd Aslam visited Nari Niketan Rajouri and interacted with the inmates today.
During his visit, he provided two computers to the Nari Niketan under Civic Action Programme of J&K Police and these computers have been handed over with an aim to extend computer based education benefits to the inmates and to help them learn computer skills by daily use.
READ AND RECOMMEND GNSONLINE SSP Rajouri expressed his pleasure in interacting with the inmates of the Nari Niketan and also delivered a motivational lecture on the occasion during which the inmates were motivated to work hard in studies.
He emphasized the importance of providing better facilities to the inmates to help them learn new skills and improve their chances of a successful future.
He highlighted over a genuine effort of the Police department in providing better facilities to underprivileged sections of the society and an endeavour to ensure that they get the best possible resources.
He reiterated his commitment to provide all possible support to the authorities in their efforts to rehabilitate and reintegrate the inmates into society.
SSP Rajouri Mohammad Aslam also visited and distributed two computers in Zia ul Islam, Manjakote where under privileged students of Rajouri, Reasi and Poonch are getting school as well as religious education.
SSP Rajouri also highlighted that these computers will help inmates learn new skills and stay connected with the world.
He highlighted the importance of digital literacy in today’s world and urged the inmates to make the most of these computers.
The DSWO Rajouri, Wakeel Ahmed Bhat was also present during the programme.

Saima Jan condoled the sad demise of former DGP Jammu and Kashmir M M Khajuria.

SRINAGAR FEBRUARY 16:–One Week MSME Sponsored E-MDP Training Program on Business Leadership Skill Development Among Students for Atma Nirbhar Bharat being organized by School of Agricultural Economics and Horti-Business Management, SKUAST-K,Shalimar in collaboration with Srinagar Women’s College, Batapora, Zakura was inaugurated by Prof.Tehmina Yousuf, Principal, SWC, Zakura and Prof. S.H.Baba, Head, SAE & HBM, SKUAST-K today .
The program a part of the series of training programs being organized by the SKUAST-K and sponsored by the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises.
The training program intends to build leadership capabilities among the students and potential entrepreneurs. During six days participants will be trained for building and strengthening leadership competencies and channelizing efforts to become future leaders of tomorrow and
accustomed to high productivity, performance, adaptability, and flexibility.
Speaking in the inaugural session, Dr. Abid Sultan, Training Coordinator, briefed participants and dignitaries about the genesis and purpose of the program. He emphasized leveraging upon the
available demographic dividend and resource base for agri-business opportunities through leadership-based interventions. He also highlighted institutional role and responsibility for
nurturing, strengthening, and sharpening student’s mind-set, skill-set, and levels of sensitivity about leadership dynamics.
Prof. S.H. Baba, Head, School of Agricultural Economics and Horti-Business Management,SKUAST-K, briefed students about the significance of leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurship in contemporary business and society.He provided provoking insights to the
students and aspiring entrepreneurs for being responsive to business opportunities, especially in the agricultural and allied sectors. He also accentuated SKUAST-K initiatives for creating an entrepreneurial ecosystem in UT of J&K.
Prof.Tehmina Yousuf, Chief Guest of the occasion in her speech enjoined the participants to have a learning acumen and build their skill levels. She impressed upon the participants to be actively involved in developing entrepreneurial ventures and startups.She expressed her gratitude to the
SKUAST-K and organizing team for the collaborative workshop of contemporary significance.

SRINAGAR FEBRUARY 16:– One week Existing-MDP Training Programme on the “Total Quality Management Practices for SME’s” sponsored by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises organised by the School of AE & HBM in collaboration with SP College, w.e.f Feb, 15-21, 2023 under SKUAST-kashmir Innovation, Incubation & Entrepeneurship (SKIIE) was inaugurated on Feb 15, 2023 in Auditorium of SP college.

He stressed the need for creating more synergies in the educational ecosystem for skilling of the youth. Dr Shabana, Provided a brief account of the work done by their Incubation centre Prof.Haroon R. Naik, Director, Planning & Monitoring highlighted the need for skilling of the youth in the contemporary times where students have access to knowledge base and is no longer dependent on teacher. He discussed the role of SKUAST-K a major institute of excellence and pioneer in adopting NEP 2020. He welcomed innovative ideas from students for handholding and incubation by SKUAST-kashmir.The session concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. Omar Fayaz Khan, Programme coordinator. -
DDC Rajouri reviews construction of Segregation sheds, CSCs and Soakage pits

RAJOURI, FEBRUARY 16:– District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, today took a comprehensive review of the progress of construction of Segregation sheds, community sanitary complexes, and soakage pits in the district. The meeting was attended by officials from various departments and stakeholders involved in the project.
During the meeting, the progress of the construction of segregation sheds was discussed. It was informed that out of the total 178 segregation sheds to be completed, 65 have been completed, and 95 are in progress. The DDC directed the concerned authorities to expedite the construction work and complete the pending sheds at the earliest.
The progress of the construction of community sanitary complexes (CSCs) was also reviewed during the meeting. It was informed that out of 168 CSCs approved, 71 have been completed, and 85 are in progress. The DDC set a deadline of March 10 for the completion of the pending CSCs.
In addition, the meeting discussed the progress of the construction of soakage pits. It was informed that against a target of 42,597 soakage pits, 36,000 have been completed. The DDC directed the concerned authorities to complete the pending soakage pits within one week.
The DDC emphasised the need for timely completion of these projects to achieve the goal of making the district clean . He urged the officials to work in close coordination with the stakeholders and ensure that the projects are completed within the stipulated time frame.READ AND RECOMMEND
The construction of segregation sheds, community sanitary complexes, and soakage pits is a part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a national cleanliness campaign aimed at achieving the vision of a clean India. The progress made in these projects will go a long way in improving the overall cleanliness and sanitation in the district.
The DDC appreciated the efforts of the officials and stakeholders involved in the project and encouraged them to continue working towards the goal of a cleaner and healthier district.
