RAJOURI, DECEMBER 11:–The Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) Rajouri has decided to celebr ate its 19th foundation day on 15th December on a large scale and the University Administration has decided various activities during weeklong celebrations.
“This year we have decided on weeklong celebrations. Different Departments and Centers of the University have scheduled various activities,” said BGSBU spokesman.
The BGSBU Administration has invited the former Vice Chancellors of BGSBU, including Masud Choudhary and Prof. Javid Mussarat to be part of the gala celebrations on 15th December.
Masud Choudhary is the first & former Vice-Chancellor of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University.
We have also invited the incumbent Vice Chancellors of the various Universities of UT of Jammu & Kashmir and also the Directors of IIM, IIT, NIT, and IIIM, “said Prof. Akbar Masood, VC, and BGSBU.
“This year for the very first time we have invited notable alumni from different fields. We will felicitate them for their remarkable contribution in various fields of life,” added Prof. Masood.

RAJOURI, DECEMBER 11:–On Sunday the Rajouri District Athletic Association under the aegis of J&K Amateur Athletics Association and J&K Sports Council organised a one-day Athletic Meet at Sports Stadium at Kheora (Rajouri) both for boys & girls.
Ex-Principal & President of District Rajouri Athletic Association, Prof. A.R. Choudhary presided over the event and prize distribution ceremony while Major Tanwir Choudhary was the guest of honour.
A large number of athletes from across the district participated in various competitions during the event.
A technical panel of the event, including Mohammad Maqbool Lone, Ketan Bakshi, Rohina Akhter, Mohd Mustaffa, Mohd Shoket & Gorav Sharma, was headed by Sahil Raina.
In the open race completion Fayaz Ali got 1st position in the 100-meter race competition, Chenu Heer got 2nd and 3rd position won by Sahil Kumar.
In the 200 m competition, Madhav Sharma got the 1st position, Sajid Iqbal 2nd and Wasat Khan remained third.
In the 400 m category, Madhav Sharma got 1st position, Fayaz Ali and Sarfraz Ahmed got 2nd & 3rd positions respectively.
Parvaiz Musharaf got 1st position in the 1500 m race competition while Mohd Yaseen got the 2nd position and Sajjad Hussain got 3rd position.
In the under 16 category Aditya Sharma got 1st position in 80 m race, Akshay got 2nd and Anubahav got 3rd position while in the 600 m race Mohd Shaqil got the 1st position, Mohd Asif got 2nd & Mohd Saqir remained on 3rd position.
Under 16 (girls) category, Udita Singh got 1st position in 80 m race, Kermica Saraf got 2nd and Palvi Sharma remained in 3rd position.
Under the 14 category (boys) 60 m race competition was won by Piyush Kumar while Mohd Irfan & Mubashir Latief got 2nd & 3rd positions respectively.
the 600 m race competition was won by Partap Singh while Rohit Kumar & Sobit Khajuria got 2nd & 3rd positions respectively.
In 60 m race competition for girls under 14 years, Janvi Partap Singh got the 1st position, Uttra Sharma and Akshara Sharma got 2nd & 3rd positions respectively.

KOTRANKA DECEMBER 11:–An important meeting of Pani Panchayat Samiti Kewal was held at Panchayat Ghar Kewal under the chairmanship of Chairman Pani Panchayat Samiti Kewal Muhammad Farooq Inqlabi. The meeting was attended by members of Pani Panchayat Samiti Kewal, ward members, prominent social workers and concerned officers of Jal Shakti Department. During the meeting, all the people were informed about Jal Jeevan Mission Scheme and how under this scheme Jal will be delivered from tap to every household. Addressing members, chairman of the committee, Farooq Inqlabi, said that the Government of India has started JJM scheme to provide drinking water from taps to every household.
He said that the monitoring of the committee members, social workers, panchayat members as well as the general public is very important for the complete implementation of the scheme. Farooq Inqlabi appealed to the people to help all the employees of Jal Shakti Department so that the scheme can be implemented in a good way.
During the meeting, the officers of Jal Shakti Department, Ashfaq Ahmed and Muhammad Rafiq Malik, gave the people complete information about the JJM scheme and informed the committee members about their responsibilities.
