    KUPWARA NOVEMBER 18:–KVK Kupwara organized two events comprising of Kisan mela under Jal sakhti abhiyan (JSA)-CTR 2022 and awareness programme on formation of FPOs .The event was chaired by District development commissioner Kupwara Dr. Sagar Doifode Dattatrey.
    The other dignitaries who were present were Director Extension SKUAST-K Shalimar
    Prof. Dil Mohammad Makhdoomi, Director planning Dr. Haroon Rashid Naik, Dr. Kaiser
    Mohi-ud-din Malik Senior scientist & Head KVK Kupwara, Chief Engineer SKUAST-
    Kashmir & officers of Line departments of Kupwara besides a huge gathering of farm
    men & women. The Programme was hosted by Dr. Raies Ahmad Bhat SMS Agronomy
    KVK Kupwara.
    The chief guest along with other dignitaries inspected the stalls which were installed by KVK Kupwara , line departments of District Kupwara,progressive farmers &
    entrepreneurs of Kupwara to show case the different farm products/Produce, exhibits &
    technologies.
    The programme started with a welcome address by senior scientist & Head KVK
    Kupwara who besides welcoming the guests briefed the gathering about the role of
    KVK in bridging the gap between farmers, scientists & line departments and he also
    give a detailed review of activities carried out by KVK in district Kupwara.
    Director Extension SKUAST-K in his address gave a detail about the activities carried
    by Directorate of Extension and also briefed the gathering about the programmes and
    policies of SKUAST-K with respect to overall economic upliftment of farmers and
    doubling the farmers income in particular. He also stressed upon the adaptation of natural & organic farming.
    The chief guest of the event addressed the gathering and interacted with farmers
    in a cordial manner and asked them to be more progressive and innovative by adapting
    technologies developed by SKUAST-K which are disseminated through KVK Kupwara.
    He also shared the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi with regard to
    doubling the farmer’s income and to reach the goal of second green revolution. He appreciated KVK Kupwara for its overall role in upliftment of Agriculture and allied sectors in district Kupwara & also ensured the support of district administration in KVK Kupwara in all respects. The Programme concluded with vote of thanks by Dr. Firdous Ahmad Raina, Scientist Plant Protection, KVK Kupwara.

    POONCH NOVEMBER 18:– Poonch sultan lifts the title of Poonch premier league -2nd Edition by defeating Poonch Royals by 02 wickets in a very interesting match . Earlier batting first , Poonch Royals scored 163 runs in 20 overs . In a second inning Poonch Sultan lost their opening 05 batsman on 35runs . However, superb class and talent was shown by Shoieb Akhter who smashed 09 big sixes and scored 78 runs . Jugnu stood tall with Shoieb in a 100 partnership with Shoieb. In the end , Dhawan and Vicky Qureshi finished the match in a style by hitting 05 sixes in total . Poonch sultan chased the target in the last over . When Vicky smashed Farhad for six to win the match and lift the title .
    Winning team was awarded with 1.3lacs and Runner Up team with 80000/, semi final teams with 20000/ each .
    Shoaib Akhter awarded with man of the match , Irfan khan awarded with man of the series, Imran jugnu with emerging player of the tournament, Dhawan Sharma best bowler of the series , Inderpal Singh best catch of the tournament.Aman Sharma as best umpire of the series .
    People from different walk of the life appreciated Pervaiz Malik Afridi chief organiser of the tournament and commended him for organising first of such kind of tournament on the pattern of IPL in Poonch .
    This tournament was organised in the memory of Advocate Nitish Sasan . His family remained present on the occasion, his father Satish Sasan along with family remained present and Pervaiz Afridi lauded their contribution for the tournament.
    Rehbar e Khel teachers played brilliant role throughout the tournament. Pervaiz Afridi also lauded the role of Bashir Ahmed manager sports stadium Poonch . He also expressed gratitude to CMO Poonch and her team .

    RAJOURI, NOVEMBER 18:– District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the Aspirational Block Development Program plan for Khawas and Koteranka blocks.
    During the meeting, the DDC took stock of progress of medical equipment, procured smart class accessories, CFC, Solid liquid Management Plant, sanitary complexes, foot bridges, culverts etc in both the blocks.
    While speaking during the meeting, the DDC said that the blocks identified under the ABDP are the most backward blocks of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir which require special focus to bring them at par with other blocks. He also said that the program is expected to usher in a new era of development in these blocks.
    He also directed the concerned officers to look into achieving 100 percent saturation of individual beneficiary schemes besides covering the scope of other welfare schemes of different departments in the identified blocks.
    The DDC also directed the concerned to ensure the completion of works in stipulated timelines to provide necessary benefits to the general public.

    RAJOURI, NOVEMBER 18:– A Day-long training program on registration of births and deaths on the civil registration system was today organised here for the officials of stakeholder departments.
    The event was presided over by the District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal.
    At the outset, the Additional District Registrar said that Civil Registration System (CRS) is a single platform for documenting vital incidents of birth, death, still-birth as well as their parameters in a continual, permanent, mandatory, and universal manner.
    Detailed deliberations on the future roadmap for shifting to online registration through Web Portal of ORGI (Office of the Registrar General of India) for Registration of Births and Deaths and action required to be taken by the line departments for implementation of the Civil Registration System was held during the training program.
    Addressing the event, the DDC elucidated the need for implementation of Civil Registration System- Registration of Birth & Death Rules- 2022 in the district and said that the data provided by a thorough and up-to-date CRS is critical for socioeconomic modeling.
    He also highlighted the use and purpose of Birth and Death Certificates along with the importance of recording the occurrence and the characteristics of the vital events which is subsequently used to study the demographic profile and other features.
    In his address, the DDC underlined the role of local registrars and areas falling within their jurisdiction for issuance of Birth and Death Certificates followed by imparting training to the Master trainers/ participants for switching over to the online Registration of Birth and Death through CRS Portal.
    Among the others present during the training program were DSEO, Sandeep Sharma; AD Planning, Mohd Rafi; BDO Siot, Dr Sunil Sharma and trainees.

    UDHAMPUR NOVEMBER 18:– DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range, Mohd Suleman Choudhary-IPS conducted a crime review meeting, today.

    The meeting was attended by Dr. Vinod Kumar-IPS, SSP Udhampur ; Addl SP Udhampur, Anwar Ul Haq; Shahid Nahiem DySP DAR Udhampur; Sahil Mahajan, DYSP HQ Udhampur; Ahmed Shaafi, SDPO Chenani; Bhishm Dubey, SDPO Ramnagar and SHOs of all Police Stations of District Udhampur.

    In the meeting, Police Station wise review of investigations of criminal cases registered in the district and Inquests proceedings, crime against women, action against drug peddlers, bovines smugglers were discussed threadbare. Besides this, progress of Police Stations on tracing of missing persons, absconders, solving of theft, UA(P) Act cases registered , backlog cases and their disposal, conviction of all crime cases including cases related to terrorism, narcotics, burglary cases and execution of court process were also discussed during the crime review meeting.

    The chairing officer appreciated the efforts of district Police Udhampur in curbing the crime and maintaining of law & order. The feedback on crime scenario was taken from the SHOs.

    The SDPOs discussed various important issues of their sub-divisions including the progress achieved on ensuring maximum disposal of the cases.

    SSP Udhampur also presented a detailed view of district Udhampur on all the agenda points including the achievements of district police Udhampur in recent past.

    The DIG lauded the efforts of District Police Udhampur on its war against Drugs/ illegal liquor sale and recovery of large quantity of narcotics in the district.
