    Absconders arrested by Police in Rajouri wanted in cases of Thanamandi and Dharamsal police stations

    RAJOURI OCTOBER 19:–Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri have arrested two absconders wanted in cases of Thanamandi and Dharamsal police stations.

    Police said that an accused Manzoor Hussain son of Wazir Hussain resident of Saaj Thanamandi was accused in case FIR No 84/2014 U/S 498A, 109 RPC of PS Thanamandi and was absconding since 2014.

    A general warrant of arrest U/S 512 CrPC was also issued by the JMIC Thanamandi against the accused.

    Meanwhile, a team of police headed by SHO Thanamandi Mohammad Shokat apprehended the accused who has now been produced before the court of law.

    SSP Rajouri informed that action against absconders is one of the main priorities of police in the district and a drive is going on to nab the absconders who are trying to evade their arrests.

    He said that a number of absconders have been arrested in the district in recent past with fifteen arrests have been made in the jurisdiction of Thanamandi police station alone in last few months.

    Recently, a team of police station Dharamsal headed by SHO Manpreet Singh has arrested an absconder namely Sabra Hussain son of Mohd Azeem resident of Dara Dullian in Poonch Haveli who was ab absconder in case FIR No 38/2016 registered under sections 279, 304A.

    UDHAMPUR, OCTOBER 19:– Labour department Udhampur today organized an awareness camp on E-Shram, here at Panchayat upper Malhar.

    The event was chaired by Block Development Council Chairman Balwan Singh in presence of Deputy Labour Commissioner, Vinakshi Koul.

    Assistant Labour Commissioner, Pradyot Gupta briefed the participants about the benefits of e-shram portal and also informed that 93% of the target has been achieved. Moreover they were informed that awareness /registration camps are being held with the help of VLEs at Panchayat level to cover left out 7% beneficiaries.

    Speaking on the occasion, the chairperson BDC apprised the general public about the benefits of the E-shram Portal.

    Among others, Uttam Singh, Sarpanch, Bimla Devi Panch, Mohan Singh panch, Gopal Sharma Panch and other PRIs were also present on the occasion.

    UDHAMPUR, OCTOBER 19:– Commissioner Secretary Revenue, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, today conducted an extensive visit of Udhampur district and participated in the Jan Abhiyan programme at Tikri organised in the run up to Back to village Programme (Fourth phase).

    DDC Chairperson, Udhampur Lal Chand; Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Krittika Jyotsna; BDC Chairman, Nisha Sharma; DDC, Ashu Sharma; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Rafiq Ahmad Jaral and other officers besides PRI members attended the programme.

    Addressing the gathering, the Commissioner Secretary appreciated the revenue officers and officials for their tireless efforts in digitization of revenue records in a record time of two months, the fruit of which is available for public as online facility on Land Records Information System portal. He added that digitization is imperative for streamlining the revenue records and making revenue records easily accessible to the public through online based platforms.

    Bidhuri added that educational institutions are the best platforms to generate awareness about the various Govt. schemes particularly online accessibility of land records. He advised all the heads of educational institutions to sensitize the students about the availability of land records at Land Records Information System portal- https://landrecords.jk.gov.in/, so that they can easily access the land records and disseminate awareness among the masses deep in the rural areas.

    Later, the Commissioner Secretary distributed land passbooks among the land holders and informed them that the Land Passbooks have been generated in three language viz. Urdu, English and Hindi, so that every citizen of J&K can easily read and know his record, which filled the information vacuum and promoted people’s ease of access to the revenue records.

    Bidhuri exhorted upon the officers of concerned departments for the implementation of the schemes in letter and spirit in the district. He called upon the people as well as PRIs to come forward to avail the benefits of various schemes and programmes launched by the Government.

    Commissioner Secretary asked the officers of the concerned department to visit the Rural and far flung areas of the district to get firsthand information of the progress of various works and schemes. The online delivery of different revenue services and other public friendly initiatives launched by the Government have brought transparency and accountability in the department, Bidhuri added.

    He appreciated the administration for effective implementation of IEC activities under various schemes in the district. DDC Chairperson also appreciated the Deputy Commissioner for her untiring efforts in digitization of land records, which will benefit the general public in future.
