RAJOURI, OCTOBER 14:–Under Rotary’s ‘Gift of Life’ project, the Rotary Club Rajouri (RCR) has been arranging free heart sur geries for the children of BPL category below the age of 18 years suffering from congenital heart and other diseases.
According to Rtn. K.K. Langer; North-West India Coordinator, Rotary Delhi (NCR) Gift of Life Project, the project has been launched as most of the parents/guardians from BPL category can’t afford the high cost of surgeries and other treatments.
K.K. Langer informed that recently one 8 months old boy namely Abdul Waris s/o Mohd Rafiq Parry resident of Mannagam in Ganderbal in Kashmir was sent for Open Heart Surgery free of cost in Escorts Heart Institute & Research Center (EHI&RC), New Delhi.
“The beneficiary was sponsored under the Project Rotary Gift of Life Delhi East End and was operated upon on September 28,” said Langer.
Similarly, in its effort in saving precious lives, Rotary Club Rajouri also sponsored a 10-month-old boy under Project Gift of Life, namely Arhan Mir s/o Mohd Ahafat Mir of village Rawoocha in Baramulla district in Kashmir.
The open heart surgery on Arhan was conducted in the month of June in EHI&RC, New Delhi.
K.K.Langer informed that on October 11, Kunal Sharma s/o Kuldip Raj Sharma r/o Devipur Bhour Jagir r/o Akhnoor in Jammu has been sent to Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Center at Kochi Ernakulam (Kerala) for free open heart surgery under Project Gift of Life.
Rotary Club Rajouri under Project Gift of Life has also organised open heart surgery for Khushi d/o Sonu resident of Batala (Punjab) in EHI&RC New Delhi.

In the month of May, Rajouri Rotary Club in its effort in saving precious lives also sent a 6-month-old female child Sanvi d/o Ranjeel Singh r/o Aghar Jitto in Udhampur to EHI&RC for Open Heart Surgery free of cost under the Project Rotary Gift of Life, Delhi East End.
