    POONCH JULY 25 :–On his official visit to Distt.Poonch ,DIG Poonch -Rajouri Range Dr Haseeb Mughal interacted with Coaches and Players of different games and sports at Sports Stadium Poonch. Speaking on the occassion he advised the players to remain focused and motivated to achieve their goals.
    He Also applauds coaches for channelising energy of youth in positive direction. He assured his support and co-operation for the upliftment of Sports Culture in twin Districts.

    This program was organised by Rahul Dravid cricket Academy Poonch.DYSSO Poonch Ch Qasim and Pervaiz Malik Afridi honoured him and presented Bouquet shawl.
    He was accompanied by ASP , DySp Ops Munish Kumar, DySP HQ Nawaz Ahmed, Mohd Qasim DYSSO Poonch, Mukesh Kumar PTI GDC Poonch, Mustaq Ahmed Sr. Boxing Coach, Pawan Kumar PEL (Hockey Coach), Matinderpal Singh PET, Hockey Coach, Rajinder Singh PET.     HANDWARA:– In its continous drive against illegal mining, extraction and transportation of minerals from Government land, Handwara Police siezed two tractors and apprehended 02 persons in two different FIRs for illegal extraction and transportation of minerals at Ananwan and Sheikhnar areas.

    In this relation Case FIR Nos. 55/2022 and 56/2022 under sections 188,447 IPC respectively stands registered in Police station Kralgund and investigation set into motion.

    All members of the public are urged in public interest to adhere to the law and the terms and conditions of their permits, wherever applicable, and to not destroy the ecology of their areas by engaging in illicit mining of minerals.

    UDHAMPUR JULY 25 :–District Development Council Vice Chairperson Juhi Manhas Pathania was the chief guest, who formally inaugurated the Digi-Mela.

    At the outset, ACR Rafiq Ahmed Jaral briefed about the various digital services being offered in the District by Revenue and other departments. He also spoke about various digital services launched by the Government of India and UT Administration for the welfare of the general public. He requested the citizens to come forward and avail the maximum benefits of these digital services.

    Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest expressed happiness over the government’s initiative of organising the digital mela and to bring services at the doorstep of masses through online mode.

    “Digital India” campaign has been launched by the government of India to uplift the usage of technology and its interface for the public welfare and bring transparency in official functioning” she maintained.

    She said the objective was to make Government services easily available to all the citizens through IT enabled interface and augmenting its infrastructure all over the country.

    The Vice chairperson urged administration to work on improving internet connectivity and extend the connectivity to the remotest areas of the district. She hailed different online initiatives and made special mention of educational e-resources like e-Pathshala audio lessons , digital textbooks, periodicals and numerous print and non-print materials through the website as well as through mobile app.

    Juhi Pathania appealed to people to participate in this digital week and avail maximum benefit of the e-services being provided by different departments.

    Later, the DDC Vice Chairperson along with ADC Mohammad Syed Khan took a round and inspected the stalls set up by different departments for disseminating information about various welfare and other schemes of the GOI. She interacted with the officers and reviewed the progress of these schemes on ground.

    Later, the Chief Guest distributed land pass books among the land holders.

    UDHAMPUR, JULY 25:–As part of the celebration of ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’ to mark the 75 years of India’s Independence, the Ministry of Power in collaboration with NHPC & JPDCL celebrated Ujjwal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya power @2047 here at village Gantwal at CFC Building, Chenani.

    Block Development Council Chairman, Chenani Parkash Chand was the chief guest, who formally inaugurated the Bijli Mahotsav by lighting the traditional lamp. President Municipal Committee, Chenani Manik Gupta, DDC Councillor, Usha Devi were the guests of honour on the occasion.

    The programme was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Anu Behl, SE PDD, Engineer P D Singh, SDM Chenani, Parvaiz Naik, Ex-en PDD, Javid Hussain Akhter and other officers of PDD, NHPC and allied departments.

    Addressing the participants, the chief guest threw light on Ujjawal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya and highlighted the key achievements of India under the power sector.

    The BDC Chairman also appreciated the tireless efforts made by NHPC and JPDC for organizing this programme. He said that electricity plays a very important role in our day to day life and there was a need to use it judiciously.

    A series of cultural performances and a Nukkad Natak was presented by Anganwadi workers and school & college students on the occasion.

    RAMNAGAR, JULY-25:- The arrangements for the smooth celebration of Independence Day 2022 were today discussed here at a meeting chaired by Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Ramnagar, Gopal Singh.

    Detailed discussions were held on the seating arrangement, barricading, security, traffic regulation, drinking water and power supply, sanitation, first-aid, fire-tenders, PAS etc.

    The SDM Ramnagar informed that the main function would be held in the premises of Government Model Higher Secondary School, Ramnagar where the chief guest would unfurl the National flag at 8:55 Am.

    The SDM directed the officers of PHE, PWD, PDD, Health and Police department to make adequate arrangements for the smooth conduct of the National festival.

    The Municipality was asked to maintain cleanliness in the town as well as at the venue.

    The SDM asked the officers to make all efforts for the celebration of Independence Day well in advance.

    Among others, Tehsildar Ramnagar, Srinath Suman, BMO, Dr. Zakir Hussain, Principal Model Higher Secondary School, Tersaim Singh and other officer/Officials were present on the meeting.
