Immediately after the video of the message went viral on social media platforms, Block Medical Officer (BMO), Dr. Iqbal Malik reached on the spot and brought the matter to the notice of senior officers, including the Chief Medical Officer (CMO).

“A news is making round on the media portals from last couple of days with the caption “Dogs & Fake Media not allowed pasted on the door of your OPD. The magnitude of the injustice can be measured by observing the education system of the rural area. The standard of education reflects how serious our leaders are. Bakerwals, community, which travels from one place to another with their luggages on the backs of horses in search of fodder and water for their animals and food for themselves. They have been carrying out an oldage tradition. Their life is not so easy as they have to go through different climatic conditions viz. Hot, Cold, Wind, Humidity, Rain, Hail Strom, Snow, Altitude etc.
But do their children have the right to seek the best of education? Ofcourse yes. But what has been done for them is not less than a cruel joke.
I came to know about one of such schools in Sankh Arai (Mandi). A school with strength of 30-40 students and two teachers at present shows the enthusiasm and passion for education but kids of this community have to study under the open sky while facing the harsh climatic conditions. In case of rainfall, either they skip the school or take shelter in a #Mud_House (Kacha Kotha). Government is doing a lot but not sufficient enough to create a conducive environment for the students to lay a strong foundation for their better future. #Tents, the basic requirement, should be given to them along with better teaching learning equipments. These kids have the strong will power, mental and physical strength but what they need is the ample opportunities to compete the mainstream.
