    LANGATE JUNE 07 :– BJP District Vice President KUPWARA Javid Ah Qureshi accompanied by other party workers Conduct door-to-door campaign telling about the achievements of Modi government in 8 years and distributing the leaflets.

    Javid Qureshi while addressing on the occasion said that BJP leaders are contributing 75 hours in the public outreach programme in which they are interacting with the masses. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government has benefitted every needy person with plethora of the public welfare schemes. He told that this entire exercise is a part of programme namely Seva Sushasan Garib Kalyaan, on the completion of eight years of Successful, developmental, progressive and prosperous Government.

    RAJOURI JUNE 07:–Acting against illegal mining practice in river bed, Jammu and Kashmir police in Nowshera sub division of Rajouri seized three different vehicles being used for this unlawful practice.

    Police said that a team headed by SHO Nowshera Rajesh Jasrotia acted on the specific inputs and raided at specific location and intercepted three different vehicles involved in illegal mining.

    Later, these vehicles were handed over to DMO Rajouri for further legal necessary course of action.

    The seized vehicles include one Poclain JCB bearing Chasis No PUNJD20BLJ224107, one dumper bearing registration number JK11B 0778 and another dumper with registration number JK11B-5296.

    Pertinent to mention here that in order to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators of the law, Rajouri Police has initiated strict action and seized a number of vehicles involved in illegal mining practice.

    UDHAMPUR JUNE 07:– Udhampur Police solved a murder case within 5 hrs in which a man from Kaghote, Ramnagar was murdered by his son after an altercation between both of them.

    On this a case FIR U/S 302 IPC got registered at Police Station Ramnagar and investigation run into motion.

    It is pertinent to mention that one Gopichand S/O Dhunichand R/O Kaghote, Ramnagar was attacked with hammer by his son namely Joginder Kumar S/O Gopichand R/O Kaghote Ramnagar at his home in the wee hours of 7th June after some altercation, the body was kept at home and the accused fled away from the spot after commiting the crime.

    After receiving an information police rushed at the Scene of Crime and took dead body in their custody, collected all the evidences from scene of crime, dead body was shifted to Hospital Ramnagar for postmortem. After completing all legal formalities, dead body was handed over to his family for last rites.

    During investigation Police team of P/S Ramnagar led by SHO PS Ramnagar under the supervision of SDPO Ramnagar Dr. Bhishm Dubey acting swiftly carried out rigorous searches in Ramnagar and adjoining areas , arrested the accussed involved in this crime. On the disclosure of the accused, the weapon of offence was also recovered.

    RAJOURI, JUNE 07:–District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to take a comprehensive review of achievements of the Rural Development Department.

    Officers who attended the meeting included ADDC, Pawan Kumar; ACD, Vijay Kumar; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; ACP, Abdul Rashid; AD Fisheries; AD Planning, Mohd Rafi and BDOs.

    During the meeting, the DDC sought a detailed report from the concerned officers about the progress achieved under different schemes and programs being implemented by the RDD in the district.

    He stressed upon the officers to work in coordination with the PRI members for the better and fruitful implementation of the schemes and to meet the expectations of the rural population.

    Underlining the need to resolve the developmental issues in a time bound manner, he also directed for removing bottlenecks if any.

    The DDC also emphasized on the need for interdepartmental coordination for achieving the desired outcomes on the developmental front.

    Meanwhile, the DDC also reviewed the developmental deliverables of the RDD sector including wage employment and demand saturation, Har Kaam Par Naam, Sal, Lagat, social audit through gramsabhas, PMAY and IHHL saturation, panchayat resources mobilization plan, panchayat convergence plan, rural haat, panchayat digital assets register, panchayat secretariat, Panchayat Heritage plan, Swacch Gram, panchayat good governance index, panchayat tourism plan, Bharat net plan, plastic free panchayat, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, panchayat livelihood plan, B2V4 etc.

    The DDC asked the department to prioritize implementation of these departmental deliverables so that targets are achieved on time with tangible results on the ground.

    RAJOURI, JUNE 07:– District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of the concerned officer to review the functioning of the Fisheries department.

    Among the others, ADDC, Pawan Kumar; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; AD Fisheries, Munish Sharma were present in the meeting.

    At the outset, the AD Fisheries informed that there are two fish breeding farms in the district including a trout farm at Phalni in Budhal and one carp farm at Muradpur.

    While reviewing the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) in the district, the AD Fisheries informed the meeting that the scheme aims to enhance production through expansion, intensification, diversification and productive utilization of land and water.

    He said that with the abundant availability of water resources the district has a huge potential in the fisheries sector and asked the concerned officer to promote it as a lucrative self-employment option.

    RAJOURI, JUNE 07:– District Administration Rajouri has launched a major crackdown to curb illegal mining practices in Rajouri and violators are being dealt strictly as per the mining norms.

    In this connection, an enforcement team conducted a raid at Gambir area and sealed an illegal crusher unit and one hot Mix Plant there.

    The whole operation was carried out under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal and District Mineral Officer, Mohammad Naseeb Bajran.

    The District Mineral Officer said that the District Administration has been taking strict measures to ensure that the mining was done legally and the perpetrators of illegal mining practices were dealt with firmly. He informed that a number of complaints were being received in the Office about the said crusher and hot mix plant.

    “Major crackdown has been launched against illegal mining and special raids are also being conducted on a regular basis to curb such practices in the district”, he added.

    The DMO has also appealed to the public to immediately bring in notice of the administration if they find any person indulging in illegal mining so that appropriate action could be taken against the perpetrators.

    RAJOURI, JUNE 07:–The Department of Food Safety Rajouri today celebrated the World Food Safety Day with the theme, ‘safer food, better health’.

    To mark the day, an awareness rally was organised near Salani bridge to sensitize the public about the importance of the day.

    The event was organised on the directions of the Commissioner Food and Drug Administration, Shakeel Ul Rehman and Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas kundal.

    World Food Safety Day is celebrated every year on 7th June aims to draw attention and inspire action to help prevent, detect and manage food borne risks, contributing to food security, human health, economic prosperity, agriculture, market access, tourism and sustainable development.

    During the celebration of food safety day, the people from all walks of life were sensitized regarding the main objective of food safety day and were emphasized to prevent, detect and manage food borne risks and change the behaviour of food habits and combat the negative nutritional trends to fight life style diseases.

    They were also asked to participate and cooperate for transformation of change of food habits and ensure to make successful the initiative of eat safe, healthy and sustainable food launched by the Food Safety and Standard Authority of India across the country.
