    RAJOURI FEBRUARY 03:– On Thursday, 26 positive cases were detected in the Rajouri district out of reports for 5304 samples were received while 43 patients have alsop recovered today.
    At present, there are 216 active cases in the Rajouri district out of which 207 are in home isolation while nine patients are in isolation in various hospitals (GMC, Army, MCH, and Triage & out of district).
    According to Rajouri Health Department, 834 children in the 15-18 year age group have been vaccinated in the district today, thus taking the number to 41806 (96 %).
    Meanwhile, Enforcement teams have fined 363 violators of COVID SOPs and have recovered a fine worth Rs 26,650 thus taking the total amount fined since April 1, 2021 to Rs 86,84.604.
    As per the district Health Department, 216 persons were detected positive during this week (January 28- February 3), 1 patient died while 492 patients have also recovered during this period.
    During the first, second & third waves 8,48,548 tests, including RAT (6,50,387) and RT-PCR (1,98,161) have been conducted to date in the Rajouri district among them 12247 have been tested positive out of which 12185 have recovered and 246 died including 7 during the third wave.
    On Thursday the health department has conducted 4889 tests (RT-PCR-1061 & RAT- 3828) while out of 698 international travellers who have entered the district to date, 433 have been traced and tested out of which four were found positive.
    At present, there are 40 micro containment zones in the district and all are under strict lockdown and tight perimeter control except for essential needs as per guidelines.

    RAJOURI FEBRUARY 03:– Children in the age group of 15-18 years, who had received their first shot on January 3 when the vaccination drive was opened for the age group, have become eligible for their second shot.
    The drive for the second dose started in the Rajouri district on Tuesday from higher secondary school at Kandi in Kandi Health Block & on the first day, 147 children were inoculated.
    The drive for the second shot of Covaxin, the children are eligible to receive only Covaxin shots, was started under the supervision of Dr. Iqbal Malik, BMO with the coordination and cooperation of the principal of the school.
    Meanwhile, on Tuesday 21 new positive cases were detected in the district, while 70 patients also recovered today.
    At present, there are 260 active cases in the Rajouri district out of which 252 are in home isolation while 8 are in isolation in various hospitals (GMC, MCH, Triage & out of district).
    According to Rajouri Health Department, 722 children in the 15-17 year age group have been vaccinated in the district today, thus taking the number to 40450 (93%).
    Meanwhile, Enforcement teams have fined 551 violators of COVID SOPs and recovered Rs 45150 fine from them, thus taking the total amount fined since April 1, 2021 to Rs 86, 13,354.
    As per the district Health Department, 264 persons were detected positive during this week (January 26 to February 1), and 1 patient died.
    On Tuesday the Health Department has conducted 5377 tests, including 4292 RAT and 1085 RT-PCR.

    RAJOURI FEBRUARY 03:– On the Direction and Supervision of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal (IAS), District Hub for Empowerment of Women (MSK Rajouri under MoWCD, Govt. of India) organised an awareness programme at Himalayan Education Mission, Complex, Rajouri and had a thorough interaction with all the staff members, especially Women folk.

    Dr. Anum Mirza (Women Welfare Officer, District Rajouri) higlighted the working of the Department and awared the gathering regarding different women centric schemes like Sukanya Samridhi Yojna,OSC,WHL 181, Shelter Home, Pension Schemes, National Scholarship Portal, Janani Suraksha Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Employment generation programmes including Tejeswani, Mumkin, JKEDI, PMEGP.

    Further Women Welfare Officer , Dr.Anum Mirza addressed the gathering about BBBP Campaign and various social assistance being provided to women in distress.She also stressed upon drop out ratio of the girl students in school which is also a major hindrance in the path of development. She said that girls should get an equal opportunity to explore herself and should be supported by their parents and society to become an independent women. She said that MSK is committed to bring about positive and sustainable change in the lives of women and women empowerment is the ultimate goal of MSK and the team put their best in empowering women.District Administration under women Empowerment also felicitated many Girls for their innovative approach and performance in various fields.

    Doda February 03:-‘District Development Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma on wednesday chaired the day-long meetings of RDD, PHE, PDD and Irrigation departments to review their performance under different vital heads including Area Development Plan of PRI’S, NABARD and District Capex here at conference hall of DC office today.

    Earlier in the morning the DDC took the detail review of RDD under Area Development Plan under which DDC enquired about the updated status of tendering of works, status of allotment, physical and financial completion as of ending January 2022, besides reviewed the block wise review of works and expenditure incurred and other issues.

    In addition to the expenditure the DDC directed the ACD and BDO’S to ensure that all the bills pending for payment at treasury level shall be got released in coordination with the concerned treasuries with immediate effect, besides asked to mobilise the contractor of their respective areas to expedite the execution of works for time bound completion in all aspect. He instructed that in respect of works held up in snow-bound area the contractor should be in a state of readiness with men, machinery and material to be able to start / resume work on first opportunity where the weather conditions become conducive for work and complete all the works before 15th of March, 2022.

    The DDC informed the BDO’s to mobolise their field functionaries, besides asked them to expedite the framing of bills of all the physically completed works simultaneously so that timely expenditure shall be incurred on priority basis.
    Moreover DDC directed the constitution of a fresh committees at Block levels for the material payment liability works verification of 2017-18,19,20. The process shall be completed within next 15 days, he asserted.

    Meanwhile taking a strong cognisance of the poor performance shown by Ex En PHE Spl Sub division Gandoh, the DDC ordered withholding of salary with immediate effect, besides sought explanation from Ex En PHE Doda for showing poor performance of expenditure under regular component schemes, besides failing to apprise the chair about the updated progress report against all the approved works.

    While reviewing the progress of PDD under capex and rural and urban electrification, the DDC directed the AEE project wing to submit the updated status of work done by Transrail within next seven days, besides asked the Shalaka Infra to hand over all the 71 completed sites fully charged to JPDCL within seven days,in addition to this directed the EX En JPDCL Doda to devise a 10 day schedule of handing over of these 71 sites.

    Further the DDC directed the concerned to submit the list of habitations which have been covered under these 71 sites, besides asked them to submit the list of habitations yet to be electrified.

    The meeting was attended by CPO DODA, ACD Doda, BDOs, Ex Ens, besides AEEs and JEs were also present.

    RAJOURI, FEBRUARY 03: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the progress made under JPDCL projects approved under the District Capex budget.

    Officers who attended the meeting included CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; SE JPDCL, Sandeep Seth and AEE JPDCL.

    The meeting was informed that as many as 208 projects were approved under the District Capex budget out of which the tenders for 37 have been allotted whereas the rest projects are yet to be allotted despite repeated tendering processes because of the low response in tendering.

    While taking note of the slow progress concerning the allotments of the tenders, the DDC directed the concerned officer to take immediate steps to get the issue resolved without further loss of time so that the funds provided for the execution of the developmental projects are utilised well before the time and necessary benefits can be provided to the general public.

Alert Police immediately swung into action and an FIR was lodged within no time vide No. 08/2022 U/S 326-A of IPC at Police Station Nowhatta and investigation started”

    RAJOURI, FEBRUARY 03: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today asked for covering all the shadow areas of the district with mobile connectivity besides strengthening existing communication infrastructure to ensure better and quality services to the public.

    He said this while chairing a meeting of the District Telecom Committee members to discuss the issues related to telecom infrastructure and other connectivity related concerns.

    Among the others, ADC Rajouri, Sachin Dev Singh; TDE BSNL, Chandan Singh; MSL JIO, Bhanu Pratap Singh; Sales Manager Airtel, Haqnawaz and Network Engineer, Ajay Bangotra.

    Discussing the connectivity issues, the meeting was informed that there is an issue of network connectivity at Kalal area where JIO tower is already installed but currently on functional due to non availability of NoC from Army. DDC assured that he will take up the matter with the concerned authorities to resolve the issue.

    The meeting was also informed that there are some shadow areas of the district where there is no mobile connectivity. He asked the concerned to take effective measures to cover these areas under mobile connectivity so that the public in these areas don’t face any difficulties.

    Addressing the meeting, the DDC said that there is an urgent need to improve the connectivity in the border areas of the district to mitigate the sufferings of the public on this account. He said poor connectivity has become an impediment in the way of progress in these areas.

    While taking note of performance of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited in the district, asked the concerned officer from BSNL to upgrade their system as per the need of the public.

    The DDC also asked them to make the best use of existing infrastructure apart from creating additional infrastructure in the district to provide quality telecommunication services to the public.
