    SSP DODA VISITED KAHARA AND HELD PUBLIC MEETING.

    DODA JANUARY 30:– SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom paid a visit to Kahara (Gundoh) and held a public meeting with respectables / elderly people of Kahara area to listen their grievance and problems. The meeting was attended by BDC Chairman Kahara Fatima Begum, Sarpanch Panchayat Kahara Jaffar Hussain, Chairman Beopar Mandal Kahara Showkat Ali and other prominent citizens/ex Sarpanches/Members panchayat of the area. The meeting was also attended by SDPO Gandoh Shahzada Kabir Matoo, SHO Gandoh Insp Vikram Singh and Incharge poliçe Kahara.The participants highly appreciated the role and efforts of police by conducting public outreach programmes for listening the problems and issues of the general public. They requested that such public outreach programmes shall be conducted by police frequently to listen the problems of general public. The participants raised many demands and issues of the area which includes (1) Providing of electric transformers/poles in Kahara area,(2) compensation to the families whose houses have been damaged in recent heavy snowfall(3) providing of adequate drinking water/power supply to the villagers (4)Arrangements of Ambulance service 108,(5) Establishment of Fire and Emergency service station in Kahara(6)Crash courses for classes 9th-12th to be sponsored by J&K police (7) Taxi fares to be fixed to prevent excess charging by the drivers (8) Upgradation of Police post Kahara to the status of Police Station keeping in view the qualification and merit of area (9)providing of receiving station at Kahara(10) Construction of Bus stand and (11) organizing of Youth awareness program by police regarding drug abuse.

    While addressing the participants, SSP Doda assured them that their issues pertaining to police shall be resolved in shortest possible time while as the issues pertaining to civil dept will be taken up with concerned forum for redressal of the same.
    The participants were urged and informed to cooperate and provide assistance to police so that social crime is eradicated from the society. They were also briefed to spread the awareness among general public to adapt COVID appropriate behavior and follow the standing instructions strictly. In the end the participants were thanked for participating in the meeting.

    Doda Police observe Martyrs day

    DODA JANUARY 30:– On the eve of martyrs day (SHAHEEDI DIWAS) the officers and jawans of District Police Doda observed two minutes silence at DPL Doda. The main functions was held at District Police line Doda. The silence for two minutes was observed in the memory of those who sacrificed their lives during the struggle for freedom of our country and fought shoulder to shoulder for the sake of freedom for the country.
    SSP Doda,Abdul Qayoom JKPS along with addl. SP Hqrs Doda Master Popsy JKPS, DySP Hqrs Doda . Jaswant Singh JKPS, DySP DAR Doda Shoket Ali JKPS, DySP traffic Doda kishtwar Pankj Sudan and other officers/Jawan were present on the occasion. The silence was observed as per standing instruction laid down for observing Martyrs day.

    Martyrs’ Day observed by Handwara Police

    Handwara January 30:–In memory of Martyrs of the nation and to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi (Father of the Nation) who was assassinated on this day in 1948, Handwara Police observed Martyrs’ Day in all its Police Stations, Police Posts & Police components ; two minute silence in memory of National Martyrs was observed throughout the PD.

    The main function was observed at DPL Handwara where Dy.Superintenden of Police (DAR) Handwara presided over the function besides other officers and officials of Handwara Police were also present on the Occasion.

    On the occassion DySP DAR said,” we salute the courage,valor and sacrifice of our brave martyrs who laid down their precious lives for securing freedom of our nation.

    At the officer said that the day has been chosen to honour our brave martyrs who have laid down their lives for the Country.
