    DGP J&K chairs high level security review meeting in Jammu ;Directs for strengthening of border and highway grids in Jammu region

    Jammu September 15 :– Director General of Police J&K, Shri Dilbag Singh today chaired a high level meeting at Police Headquarters Jammu wherein the security scenario of Jammu Zone was reviewed.

    The meeting was attended by ADGP Jammu Mukesh Singh, DIG JSK Atul Goel,SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli,AIG Tech Rahul Malik,SSP PCR Haseeb Mughal and other officers.While other DIsG of Jammu Zone and district SSP joined through video conferencing.

    The DGP complimented the officers for an outstanding understanding with other forces and agencies and for jointly meeting the security challenges successfully.

    The DGP while interacting with the officers stressed for further augmenting the intelligence and security grids so that no room is given to the elements inimical to peace in view of the ongoing attempts of infiltration from across the border and increased drone activities by rogue and anti national elements .He said the personnel on the ground should be briefed regularly, and there should be enhanced synergy at the grassroots level for better results. He directed for effective dominance and surveillance in their respective areas and emphasized the need to keep a close watch on subversive elements by strengthening the border as well as the highway girds .He also reviewed the security of the road tunnels in the Zone and gave necessary directions regarding their security. He directed the officers to take review of the preparedness on ground deployments .
    The DGP impressed upon the officers to upgrade their investigation quality and interrogation centres.While referring to the Capacity building Programmes with the National Investigation agency , the DGP said that these programmes will go a long way in upgrading the skills of our Investigating officers.

    The DGP emphasized on the critical importance of maintaining a sustained close watch on the ground situation and real-time coordination and synergy between different security forces to foil the attempts of elements inimical to peace. He directed to take stringent action against the elements found involved in any anti national or anti social activities. He said that J&K Police alongwith the other security agencies is working hard for the security of the people and for the consolidation of peace and added that those who are looking to cause any damage to the peaceful atmosphere in Jammu and Kashmir would not be spared.

    Reiterating the use of technology in strengthening the security grids the DGP laid emphasis on seeking the cooperation of the people in strengthening the border grid.

    He said that Pak backed terror groups and their associates are continuously attempting to foment trouble in J&K and added that any such attempt would be foiled with fortitude. The DGP emphasized for maintenance of effective coordination and sharing of each and every valuable information so that immediate action is taken as and when required.The DGP added that despite the ceasefire , infiltration attempts are being made.

    The DGP J&K gave emphasis on identifying and smashing the OWG networks in the UT.
    The DGP J&K impressed upon the officers to identify the personnel indulging in any corrupt practices and take action against them.

    The DGP Sh Dilbag Singh said that action against drug peddling is being taken and yet he emphasized on busting the narcotics networks to eradicate this menace from the UT.
    Follow up to the decisions and directions of previous meeting was also also reviewed during the meeting.

    مینڈھر //مینڈھر کے بالاکوٹ فرنٹ لائن یوتھ نے بھاجپا کی مرکزی حکومت سے مانگ کرتے ہوئے کہاکہ جاری نئی حد بندی کے دوران پیر پنچال خطہ کو علیحدہ سے پارلیمانی نشست دی جائے تاکہ پسماندہ خطہ کی عوام کی تعمیر وترقی ممکن بنائی جاسکی ۔انہوں نے کہاکہ خطہ میں آبادی پہاڑی قبائل کو ابھی تک ایس ٹی کا درجہ نہیں دیا گیا ہے جس کی وجہ سے پہاڑی قبائل کے نوجوانوں کیلئے کئی طرح کے مسائل پیدا ہوگئے ہیں ۔نوجوان کارکنوں نے کہاکہ بھاجپا نے مرکز میں اقتدار میں آنے سے قبل پہاڑیوں کیساتھ انصاف کرنے اور ان کو ایس ٹی کا درجہ دینے کی یقین دہانی کروائی تھی تاہم ابھی تک اس مانگ کی جانب کوئی دھیان ہی نہیں دیا گیا ہے ۔انہوں نے مانگ کرتے ہوئے کہاکہ جموں وکشمیر میں شروع کردہ نئی حد بندی میں پارلیمنٹ سینٹوں کی بھی نئی حد بندی کی جائے جبکہ خطہ پیر پنچال کو جموں سے علیحدہ کر کے ایک نشست دی جائے تاکہ خطہ پیر پنچال کی تعمیر و ترقی کیلئے راہ ہموار ہو سکے ۔

    Kishtwar September 15:–The 2019 batch JKAS Officer, today assumed the charge of Block Development Officer Block Inderwal Chatroo after completion of administrative training trail in various areas under the supervision of Senior Officers.
    After assuming the charge, Tasleem Javaid holds an interactive cum introductory meet with officers and field staff leading stressed upon the staff to adopt a public-friendly attitude and urged them to work with full dedication while maintaining high standards of work ethics in the larger interest of the public.
    Adding that as a team, his office will endeavor for effective and transparent implementation of various Govt schemes of the Rural Development Department. He also urged the public to support him in making their block a model block and reiterated that doors of his office is always open for the public to redress their grievances and to fulfill their genuine demands.
    Apart from this, Tasleem Javaid attended panchayat Gram sabha at panchayat Chatroo Lower B, where people welcome the newly joined BDO with full enthusiasm. During ongoing gram sabha, a resolution for construction of panchayat ghar was passed and a corrigendum was done for the MGNREGA plan. He laid stress on awareness generation and fixation of the date fixed for gram sabha regarding Forest Rights Committee.
    He appealed to people that they are the eyes of the Block Development Officer in the field so that they have to bring everything wrong if anywhere going on within the block jurisdiction, in his notice for timely action and to ensure transparency.

    KISHTWAR :– Ex-Militant turned absconder arrested by Kishtwar Police after 12 years.The arrested absconder (ex-militant), identified as Nazir Ahmed S/o Noor Mohd Gorsi R/o Budhar Bonjwah Kishtwar, wanted in case FIR No. 187/2009 U/Sec.307/ RPC 7/27 IA Act registered at Police Station Kishtwar.The said absconder has been produced before the Hon’ble Session Court Kishtwar and accordingly on the orders of the Hon’ble Court the accused has been lodged in judicial custody.

    RAJOURI SEPTEMBER 14:-
    -Under ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations, Rajesh Kumar Shavan, Deputy Commissioner (DC) on Tuesday flagged off a group of 250 youths, including women for a five-day trekking expedition to Dokhs (Pastures) of Peer Panjal from Rajouri and with base camp at Darhal.
    To commemorate the 75th year of India’s Independence, Rajouri District Administration under ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations have organised several events and few will be held in the new future, including organising of ‘Border Mela’ at Seri village on October 5 & 6 in association with the civil society, tourism department and NGOs to promote the culture and tourism of the area.
    A grand cultural festival was also organised at Rajouri in the month of August wherein the artists from the adjoining states and districts participated and was highly appreciated by the local public.
    The trekking expedition has been organised in collaboration with Tourism Department & with an aim to explore the scenic treasure of Rajouri district and to offer opportunities to Nature Lovers and Trekkers to trek through lush green natural spots, high pasturelands, and picturesque moor of majestic Pir Panjal Ranges.
    Pertinent to mention that initially the Trekking Expedition was organised up to Shakermarg & Seven Lakes in Girjin Valley, but reportedly due to security point of view the permission was given only for Dhokes (Pastures) in the Pir Pnajal Region where Nomads spend their summer along with their livestock.
    “The objective of the trekking expedition is to promote national integration and imbibe a spirit of adventure in the youth, build self-confidence and enhance their awareness about the environment, local flora and fauna” said Rajesh Kumar Shavan DC.
    He advised the trekkers to take full advantage of the trip and learn from each other by sharing their experience and knowledge about nature and places.
    “Exchange of ideas in the lap of nature and experiencing adventure will help you in the overall character development and see the world more vividly,” DC said.
    Adequate arrangements have been put in place for the smooth and successful conduct of the trekking expedition.
    Trekkers will be provided vehicles from Rajouri to base camp at Darhal, They will be provided food, accommodation, medical aid by the organisers. Horses/ponies will be provided only to the injured and exhausted trekkers.
    “For the first time, the trekkers from within and outside the district are going on an expedition to the Dokhs (Pastures) of the Peer Panjal” said DC.
