    Jammu, 06th September, 2021:- 3rd in a series Jammu and Kashmir Police organized a joint capacity building programme with National Investigation agency (NIA) at Police Auditorium Gulshan Ground Jammu today. Hon’ble Justice Mr. Sanjay Dhar , Judge of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir was the chief guest at the inaugural session.

    The session was attended by ADGP, Jammu, Mukesh Singh-IPS , IGP NIA Ashish Batra, DIG, JSK Range Atul Goel, senior officers of J&K police and NIA and investigation officers from Jammu Zone and CID.

    Hon’ble Justice Sanjay Dhar while addressing the session expressed his gratitude to the organisers of the training programme for inviting him for the session. He said that foundation of the criminal case is laid by the IOs and stressed for promptness in recording the statements of the witnesses saying that if there is any delay in recording the witness there is a likelihood that the witness might manipulate the things. He said that investigating officers have tremendous power and they have to exercise it cautiously under provisions of Law to unveil the truth. He said that use of tools and technology of modern era will prove very helpful in good investigation and in securing conviction of criminals. He said that digital evidences are very important to help strengthen the evidence against elements involved in terror activities. He emphasized for regular training of the IOs for better results.

    121 J&K Police investigators including 01 SP, 11 DySsP, 09 Prosecuting officers, 14 Inspectors, 63 PSIs and 12 ASIs of J&K Police are participating in the five day training programme.

    During the five day programme, the officers would be learning about important provisions of IPC, CrPC, evidenced Act and the UA(P) Act. The participants would also be trained on scene of crime management & explosive analysis on the spot, Dos and Don’ts while handling evidence. Lectures on Explosive Substances Act, Arms Act and documentation in investigation will also be organised. They will be trained with examples from important case studies on cases investigated by the NIA.

    POONCH, SEPTEMBER 06: Additional District Development Commissioner Poonch, Abdul Sattar today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the progress regarding the registration of the Youth Clubs of their respective panchayats here at conference Hall of DC office Poonch.
    During the meeting, PPT of the various mission youth initiatives have been shown to all the members.

    The ADDC said that the Government is very ardent about the empowerment of youth and as such, various schemes have been launched from time to time for their betterment.

    The ADDC also applauded the work done by the Education Department for registering 44000 youths of 216 Youth Clubs and directed them to further refine the submitted data latest by 13th of September.

    ACD RDD, Rajesh Lakhan has been directed to submit detailed report with respect to the progress regarding thr registrations of the Youth of the 13 Youth Clubs by 13th of September this year.

    Additional District Development Commissioner directed the DYSSO to prepare a sports activity calendar for each of the youth club by 7th of September.

    LG’s Rolling Trophy has been finalised for block and inter lock level in Cricket , Volley ball , Football and Kho -Kho(girls only ).

    Live demonstration of the online registrations of youth on mission youth portal has been conducted for all ZEO’s for smooth registration at the Youth Club Level and the overall progress will be reviewed pertinently within weeks time.

    Among the others, ACD, Rajesh Lakhan, CEO,Education, DYSSO, Mohd Qasim, Manager DAY – NULM, Rajiv Sharma,Principal Anwar Khan besides all ZEO’s of Education Department were present in the meeting.

    RAJOURI SEPTEMBER 05 :
    –The Enforcement teams in Rajouri district in their drive to implement Covid-19 protocol on Sunday challaned 197 persons roaming without wearing masks and realised fines worth Rs 23699/-
    During the last two days eight persons, including a GMC Rajouri doctor and four soldiers, were found Covid positive in the district.
    Doctor and soldiers have been isolated in the GMC & Army hospital while others were sent in home isolation.
    There are 23 active Covid-19 cases in the district at present out of 7237 positive cases detected during the second wave of which 18 are isolated in the hospitals, one in CCC and 4 are in the home isolation,
    Of 18 isolated in the hospitals, 3 are in GMC Rajouri, 12 are in the Army hospital, and 3 outside the district.
    1264 beneficiaries (including above 45 years of age and between 18-44 years age group) were administered first and second Covid vaccine doses across the district on Sunday.
    Till Sunday 5,09,322 tests have been conducted in the district ( during1st & 2nd wave) of which 3,,76,418 were RAT.
    Out of these tests, 11110 cases were found Covid-19 positive, 10852 have recovered, 23 are still active while 235 died including 180 during the 2nd wave.
    The positivity rate in the district is 0.12%, while the recovery rate is 97.68%. Four patients were discharged today in the district, while the health department today has collected 1384 samples.
