  • INDIAN ARMY CELEBRATED INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY AT KISHTWAR

    Kishtwar Aug 12:–. In its ongoing effort to spread the message of peace, prosperity and support to the local populace, Indian Army celebrated the International Youth Day at Kishtwar by engaging with the youth of the region. The Army in its unique initiative felicitated a girl child from a remote & inaccessible village in Kishtwar district.
    The girl incidentally is ward of a martyr who has made supreme sacrifice in the line of duty. Inspite of limited resources and opportunities in her area she has secured 82% marks in her Class X board exam. The girl presently in Class XI aims to become a doctor by pursuing coaching for NEET examination. The Army has provided her with a scholarship of Rs 25,000/- on the occasion of International Youth Day reaffirming its dedication & commitment towards the youth of the region, ensuring brighter future of the youth and converting challenges into opportunities. This initiative by the Army will surely energise the youth of the region and motivate others to take benefit of such avenues.

    Rajouri August 12:– The Islamic Welfare Organization has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the death of a young man in Chakli Dhanwan of Rajouri. President of the Islamic Welfare Organisation Shafqat Mir has demanded that the murder of Ankush Bakshi be investigated and the killers be brought to justice.

    Mir said that some people are trying to take political mileage out of this murder for their petty political which clearly depicts their mentality of divisiveness.

    He further said that some people were linking yesterday’s incident with the murder of Ijaz Dar who was lynched to Death while carrying milking Buffalo which is shameful and inhuman on their part.

    Mir demanded that Administration should identify those people who are trying to destroy brotherhood by spreading hatred in the society.
    He also expressed sympathy with the family of the young man who was killed in Chakli Dhanwan and said that some people are trying to give communal color to the legitimate demands of the family members of Ankush Bakshi in order to take political.mileage.

    Mir demanded that the District administration should take strict measures to establish brotherhood and peace in the district and strict action should be taken against such people who are habitual offenders in creating disturbance in the society. He further said that Islamic Welfare Organisation will extend all possible help to the family of Ankush Bakshi
