Handwara August 05:–The Irrigation Department Handwara with the chairmanship of *Excutive Engineer Handwara with task force head team *Manzoor Ahmad Lone* inculding JE Muktiyar Ahmad, Zaldar Nizar Ahmad pir carried out an anti-encroachment drive on Wednesday in Drugmulla on Dobi Gart where it owns land along the banks of Lal Khul Drugmulla.
The department plans to carry out more such drives on a bigger scale. It owns land in various places said toss force team head Manzoor Ahmad.
Rajouri August 05:–The Police of Koteranka has arrested a provincial level office bearer of the Apni Party for assault and harassment of a woman Sarpanch.
Arif Rather, Provincial Vice President (Youth Wing) Apni Party was booked under Section 356 of IPC by Koteranka (Kandi) Police on complaint of Akhtar Begum, Sarpanch, Koteranka.
This is the second attack by Apni Party leader Arif Rather on the woman Sarpanch in Koteranka. Earlier, Arif Rather and his accomplices attacked her on January 15 and ran a defamation campaign against her and other women political and social activists.
The Apni Party, instead of taking cognisance of the matter, sent a team to Koteranka to intimidate the complainant and pressurise Police.

Indian Orthopaedic Association (IOA) celebrates National Bone & Joint Day (NB&JD) every year on August 4 and this year’s (2021) theme was ‘Prevention of deformity in degenerative disease’.
On this occasion under the banner of IOA & J&K Chapter, Department of Orthopaedics Government Medical College & Associated Hospital (GMC&AH) here at Rajouri organised a workshop on the topic ‘Basic Life Support’.
The workshop was organised under the Chairmanship of Dr.Brij Mohan, Principal GMC&AH, and in the presence of Dr. Mehmood Hussain Bajar, Medical Superintendent and was attended by around 100 participants.
Heads of the various departments (HoDs), faculty, Paramedical staff, students, police personnel were among the participants.
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Shalinder Sharma (Associate Professor) HoD, Department of Orthopaedics followed by hands-on training on Cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the mannequin to students and police personnel in batches by Dr. Irfan (AP, Ortho), Dr. Sohail Banday (AP, Anesthesia) & Dr.Waseem Chowhan( Anaesthetist).
“The aim of the workshop was to train the students, paramedics, and police personnel in basic life-saving training by making them aware of the golden hour management of accident victims and reducing mortality and morbidity as well as maintaining bone health by exercises, yoga, outdoor sports, and balanced diet” said Dr. Shailinder.
According to Dr. BKS Sanjay, Orthopaedic & Spine Surgeon ( Padma Shri Awardee) during the last 40 years the type of orthopedic patients has changed.
Earlier polio and CP were the main causes of deformities and disabilities, but nowadays the main culprits are road traffic accidents and degenerative arthritis, he said.
In the year 2012 the Indian Orthopaedic Association stressed the need to create awareness among people regarding the growing problems related to bones and joints and subsequently the Ministry of Health declared 4th August to be observed as Bones & Joints Day in India.
SRINAGAR August 05 :– Social activist Ruheena Shahzad urged the administration of Jammu and Kashmir to make adequate arrangements with regard to uninterrupted power and water supply beside immediate improvement of roads, street lights, health facilities in the Shia dominated areas.
In the statement issued by Ruheena Shahzad said that The administration of Jammu and Kashmir should ensure all basic amenities to people in view of the forth coming auspicious month of muharram.
She demands for immediately repair of street lights, ensuring of uninterrupted power supply to imambaras, improvement and machadamization of roads in Shia inhabitants areas leading to imambaras on immediate priority.
Ruheena Shahzad has emphasised on making fool proof medical arrangement and deployment of medical teams along with ambulances in all areas where processions are carried out.
The authorities should ensure sanitation and cleaness drives through out the month on priority and ensure timely supply of ration to the people. The food and Supplies department should ensure all essential and required items are available in the market, besides there is no violation of official rate list of essentials. The Fire and Emergency department should remain prepared to deal with any eventuality. The Government of Jammu and Kashmir should ensure adequate and hassle free transport service till the conclusion of the processions,” Ruheena Shahzad added.

BUNJWAH AUGUST 05 :–On the direction of Worth District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, today Tehsildar Bunjwah Shri. Irshad Ahmed Butt chaired a meeting at Tehsil headquarter Bunjwah regarding the awareness of SEHAT scheme among the masses to avail benefits of centrally sponsored scheme.
The Tehsildar Bunjwah vide letter No. GEN/TB/206-13 dated 04/08/2021 forwarded copies to all competent members to attend the meeting as per the scheduled time and date.
During the course of meeting, it was very surprising that BDO Bunjwah along 06 elected sarpanches and dozens of panches fails to attended the meeting beside the fact, that in the letter “request was pleaded to all sarpanches to attend the meeting along with all the panches of their respective panchayat halqas and BDO Bunjwah was directed to pass directions to all PRI’s to attend the meeting.
Apart from this various panches also didn’t attend the meeting regarding the awareness of SEHAT scheme among the masses.
Tehsildar Bunjwah briefed all the sectoral attendants about the benefits of SEHAT scheme and 100 % registration of golden cards and to create a mass awareness among the general public.
Among the participants, Tehsildar Bunjwah strictly directed to cover 100% registration in time bound manner. The meeting was attended by Medical Officers, BLO’s, Asha Workers, VLE’s and others.
Rajouri August 05 :–Addressing the series of meeting, youth of Basith community village Sadhiyal highlighted that some of the oversmart people of the community are trying to change the caste from Basith to Rajput which will not be good for the comming generations of the community. It is discussed in the meeting our people want to do just reverse of what the intellectuals of Haryana are doing.
Remarking that “to stay at our ancestors position” is the main pillar of progress and development of community.
Some well educated youth of the community remarked that we have been deprived since the tail of rajput has been joined with our originality.
It is unanimously agreed that we must be given our right by the government by immediately culminating the added word with our caste. It is further added that there is dire need for the upgradation of system also.
Finally nomerdar said that our community has maximum percentage of young population leaned towards the original caste, and requested the government to do in our favor at the earliest.
In his keynote address, Sarpanch Kulbir singh, said that with the advent of new technology people don’t ask your caste but ask your work, so there is need of final amendment in our caste as Basith.S Surinder Kour, Baba Amreek Singh Vyas, Satpaul Singh, Ram Singh, Rajan Singh , Manjeet Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, Naresh Kumar,Pawan Kumar, Deepak Singh and other youth members were also present in the meeting.
RAJOURI, AUGUST 05: –In yet another move to substantially improve the health infrastructure in the district, the Government Medical College and Associated Hospital Rajouri catering to the patient care with the feeding area of twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch has been equipped with TMT and EEG facilities.
TMT is the Treadmill Test and it helps in the measurement of the blood circulation inside the body (blood pressure) when a patient walks/runs on a treadmill while an EEG is a test that detects abnormalities in your brain waves or the electrical activity of the brain.
The people of twin districts would be highly benefited from the new health facilities as they have to visit Jammu for these tests. It is also pertinent to mention here that a new CT Scan machine with 128 slices will start functioning from next week shortly.
The services have been started with the extra efforts made by the Principal GMC, Brij Mohan Gupta under the guidance of Additional Chief Secretary Health and Medical Education Department.

ضلعی صدر سید منظور بخاری نے کہا کہ راجوری میں سیاسی کارکنوں کے استحصال اور ہراساں کرنے کی کبھی اجازت نہیں دی جائے گی۔ تمام الزامات بے بنیاد اور سیاسی غنڈوں کے زیر اثر ہیں۔ جہاں کچھ غنڈے اپنے ذاتی مفادات کے لیے لوگوں کو گمراہ اور استحصال کرتے ہیں۔
بخاری نے یہ بھی بتایا کہ پروونکل یوتھ سیکرٹری عارف راتھر ایک بہت ہی سرشار اور فعال کارکن ہیں اور ہمیشہ عوام کی فلاح و بہبود کے لیے کام کرتے ہیں۔ حال ہی میں اس نے ایک آر ٹی آئی میں لاگ ان کیا ہے تاکہ بلاک میں اصل حالت کے ترقیاتی کام کی پیش رفت کو جان سکیں۔ یہ آر ٹی آئی کچھ سیاسی غنڈوں کو ہضم نہیں ہوئی اور اس نے علاقے میں جموں و کشمیر اپنی پارٹی کے کارکنوں کا استحصال اور ہراساں کرنے کی کوشش کی۔

Rajouri August 05:–Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party Rajouri condemned false allegations, which were charged against a party worker and Provencal Youth Secretary Arif Rather. He was arrested by police on 4th August 2021 by koteranka police in which baseless allegations were label on him under the dome pressure by some political people.
District President Syed Manzoor Bukhari stated that Exploitation and harassment of political workers will never be tolerate. All allegations are baseless and charged under influence of political goons. Where some goons misleading and exploiting people for their personal benefits.
Bukhari also mentioned that Provincial Youth Secretary Arif Rather is a very dedicated and active worker and always works for the welfare of the public. Recently he has logged a RTI to know the Actual Status of Developmental work progress in Block koteranka. This RTI was not digestible to some political goons and tried to exploit and harass the workers of Jammu And Kashmir Apni Party in the area.
Appreciating SSP Rajouri, Bukhari said that since she has taken over as the district police chief, the rule of law has prevailed. We are fully confident that she will bring the truth to light in the matter by personal intervention.
