Sopore , JULY 31:– Principal Govt Degree College Boys Sopore Farooq Ahmad Malik, was accorded a warm farewell today on his superannuation from Government Service.
The function was attended by Director Colleges’ Ex Director Colleges ‘ Nodel Principal Kashmir Divisions ‘principals of various collges of kashmir division ex principals and other dignitires attend the function.
In his speech, the Director Colleges highlighted achievements of the retiring Principal and wished him prosperous post retirement life. The Ex Director also spoke on the occasion.
The Principal GDC Sopore , in his speech shared his valuable experience at the occassion.

Kupwara July 31:–Prominent political activist hailing from Kupwara on Saturday joined Apni Party at its district office kupwara.
The joining ceremony took place in presence of Apni Party District General Secretary Bilal Arif Lone along with senior party workers.
The new entrants joined Apni Party include Khursheed Ahmad Mir.
Welcom the new entrants into the party-fold, Bilal said that the doors of Apni Party are open to all those who want to serve their peole with diligence and honesty.
“Apni Party doesn’t correspond to family politics or nepotism. Any one can join the party and with ideas meant for public welfare can even lead the party to achieve its goals. There is no room for disparity here,” he said.
He also impressed upon them to work sincere public welfare and convey the message of this party to every individual in their respective localities.

Residents of Tehsil Bunjwah suffering more due to dilapidated condition or Road
Kishtwar/Bunjwah July 31:–The residents of Tehsil Bunjwah are suffering immensely due to dilapidated 26 kilometre stretch Dunadi Bunjwah KewaPull Kither road connecting bunjwah with rest other regions of district as well as state. Unfortunately noone has taken his interest over this matter .
Despite crores of rupees had withdrawn on name of this road , only to take undue benefit. The road had become golden era for elected representatives and politicians .
Public had demanded personal intervention of Lt. Governor to personally intervene in this matter and constitute a team of highly experienced and dedicated Vigilance Officers to hold inquiry in this matter and take stern action according to law and directing concerned agencies in maintaining road connectivity at an earliest so as public shall take sigh of relief . -
Police holds interaction meet with VDC members at Manjakote
Rajouri July 31:– Jammu and Kashmir Police in Manjakote area of Rajouri held a meeting with VDC members today on July 31.
Meeting was chaired by Station House Officer Manjakote, Harmohinder Singh in which VDC members from different villages of police station jurisdiction took part.
The participants were briefed to be vigilant of any suspicious and unwanted activity in their area and inform the local Police of apprehension / suspicious movements of any kind.
The services of members of VDC in hinterland security was also appreciated and they were also sensitised as to their roles and responsibilities.

Activities near water bodies, land slide prone areas be avoided, while people should select hard soil spots for parking of vehicles.
Movement, especially of children and aged people, near water bodies prone to flash flood should be discouraged by all means.

Srinagar,July 31:–Urging LT Governor Manoj Sinha to release the salaries of employees of different departments like trained Landcapers and garden workers of floriculture department.
Social activist Ruheena Shahzad said that these employees are working tirelessly. In Covid 19 pandemic they have been do their work with dedication and honesty.
But this is really unfortunate their families are facing immense hardship due to non release of salary since 2017.
I hope that LG JKUT will release their salary as soon as possible and to solve their problem…

Joint meeting of District Development Council members; BDC Chairpersons and District Officers held in Rajouri
Discussion on effective implementation of District Capex plan held; Asks public representatives and Government machinery to work side by side for the overall development of the district
RAJOURI, JULY 30: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh Kumar Shavan convened a first of its kind joint meeting of DDC members, BDC chairpersons and district Officers to chalk out the strategy for effective implementation of the District Capex plan and to discuss the issues hampering the proper functioning of the all the three tiers of the Panchayat system.
A discussion on various points including the status of the approved works, the process initiated to seek technical sanction, administrative approval of new works, the status of tendering and allotment of works, interdepartmental coordination with the elected representatives, and regular meetings are some of the points which were discussed in the meeting.
The District Development Commissioner while speaking during the meeting said that more than 2900 works stand sanctioned under the District Capex Budget in the district and fifty per cent release has been received for the execution of works.
Concerning the estimation of the works of RDD, the concerned officer apprised that 551 works have been approved and out of these 551 works, the estimation for as many as 271 works has been done. The DDC asked the concerned officer to get the administrative approval of these works received at the earliest and after receiving the same, start their tendering so that the works can be started within the shortest possible time.
He also informed that the District Administration has made several strides towards the conservation and management of the water. He also briefed the meeting that a new scheme for effective management of greywater has been launched.
The District Development Commissioner informed that as many as 34 projects have been approved for the district and stressed upon the concerned officers to make concerted efforts to conserve greywater to raise the water table in the district.
The District Development Commissioner also urged the public representatives to motivate more and more women of their respective jurisdictions to get themselves registered with the women water conservation club.
The concerned officer from the RDD has been directed to carry out a massive plantation drive in the district under MGNREGA in convergence with the Forest Department to enhance the green cover of the district. He also set a target of 01 crore plants to be planted during this financial year.
For the restoration of the public utilities damaged due to the incessant rains, the District Development Commissioner apprised that necessary directions have been passed onto the field functionaries for the earliest restoration of the public utilities, besides the compilation of detailed reports of losses of the agriculture sector.
The District Development Commissioner asked the DDC Members and BDC Chairpersons to personally monitor the restoration work of their jurisdictions and made it clear that no payment would be made to any department unless a certificate regarding the completion of restoration work is received from the DDC Member and BDC Chairpersons of that area.
The District Development Commissioner called upon the DDC Council members and BDC Chairpersons to personally monitor the progress of the works in their respective constituencies and blocks. He also called for timely execution of works without compromising the quality of the work.
The District Development Commissioner urged all the public representatives and District officers to work as a team and coordinate with each other for the successful execution of the District Capex plan as per the spirit of the 3-tier system of Panchayati Raj besides, he also asked to focus on speedy execution for achieving maximum targets in a given time frame.
The District Development Commissioner directed the field functionaries to kindly organise regular meetings with elected representatives and assure the participation of all the line departments.
The DDC also informed that the District Administration is working on the proposal to make smart markets in the district.
“Special 312 IT boys have been deployed to carry out the IT related works in the panchayat, and a single room of the school has been dedicated to Jan Seva Kendra,” he added.
The BDC chairpersons and DDC members also raised several issues during the meeting.
